Power Poppy Duo

Hi Crafty Pals! I have been busily crafting this week and decided to play along with the current Power Poppy Challenges; Power & Spark "frame it up" challenge and a Colour Challenge.

I had lots of fun, colouring my digital power poppy stamps with my Copics. This first card is for their frame it challenge...I coloured their Sunflower image with my Copic markers and paired it with a Verve Sentiment.

The next card is for their new Colour Challenge! I kept my design simple and clean...something I like to do when creating cards for mailing to others. I used the Power Poppy GERBERA DAISIES DIGITAL STAMP SET

Aren't the colours so pretty together? I am always up for a Colour Challenge

I decided to colour the gerbera daisies in the fun, bright colours...I love it when florists have the blue daisies! Although my favourite gerberas are the burnt orange type!

Whimsy & Stars Studio, MOJO Monday, Stampin' Royalty and Paper Issues {Celebrate Autumn}

Wow, Friday already!! Where does the time go?
Today I am up on the Whimsy and Stars Studio page, sharing a "Fall" Themed card!

Instant Download Digi Stamp: Amelia

I used Mabelle's sweet digital stamp called Amelia.

It is easy to use digital images, you just print them from your printer onto a piece of 81/2" x 11" cardstock! I do this at night before I head to bed and then the ink has completely dried by morning. Of course, you can always dry the images with a heat gun! I paired her with some October Afternoon paper in my stash and some twine! I coloured her with my Copics and used a SRM Sticker for the sentiment.

That sweet flower can work for ANY season, and in this card, I turned it into a sunflower.

I am playing along with the following challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches {Friends}

Digital Stamp: Sunflower Teapot

I used a fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for my card by the amazing Rita!! Just love the layout and decided to create an A2 card!! I am happily on the summer DT for Whimsy and Stars Studio!

The image is coloured with Copics and I added some pearls to the bottom of my card.

I used some light tan colours for the center of each sunflower and kept the rest of my design simple. I love that little bumble bee!

Thank you for stopping by today!!! And be sure to link up a project with one of Mabelle's freebie images. CLICK HERE for all the information!! We can't wait to see what you create!!

Welcome to Whimsy and Stars Wednesday! The second Wednesday of each month, I will be sharing a card or creation that I have made using a sweet image from Whimsy and Stars Studio. Mabelle has SUCH adorable images and there was one that caught my eye! I decided to use this image for a thank you card for my amazing bestie Jackie. I used the aptly named digital stamp called "Best Friends".

Digital Stamp: Best Friends

Using my circle nestabilities, I focussed in on the friends, so that their sweet faces would shine. The papers are from Close to my Heart and the cardstock is Flourishes in White (I love that stuff).

Love the Colour Q Colours...perfect for these sweet girls!!!

Merry Monday #40-{Merry and Bright} and welcome to Featured Designer Margaret Moody!

If you are looking for the winners of last week's sketch, please CLICK HERE.

Welcome to another week at Merry Monday!  The idea behind this challenge is to get a head start on your Christmas cards!  Each week, I choose one Merry Monday Winner who will then be a Guest Designer for a future challenge!  So get out your Christmas supplies and let's get to work! Our sketch this week is open to interpretation...what shape will you use on your card?

I am excited to welcome Sherry Eckblad to our Merry Monday design team! Sherry has been an avid participant of our challenge and I was so happy when she agreed to join us! Welcome Sherry!

November is here and we have a brand new Featured Designer to inspire you! Welcome to the lovely Margaret Moody! I am happy to have Margaret designing with us this month, I admire her work so much! I asked her to share a bit about herself!

Margaret Moody  Hello, Merry Monday followers!  I'm Margaret Moody and I'm thrilled that Lesley has asked me to be the Featured Designer for November at Merry Monday!  I'm a native Texan and the mother of two beautiful daughters who are students at The University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'Em Horns)!  I've taught in public schools for 24 years and currently work as a reading specialist for a local school district.  In addition, I've done graphic design work for 29 years, designing t-shirts, logos, signs, menus and brochures for individual clients, churches, schools and clubs.  I've been smitten with anything paper from an early age when a very special aunt would take me to stationery and card shops during our many shopping trips together.  The fascination continued into adulthood and I started scrapbooking when my girls were younger, eventually moving into card marking.  I currently serve on the design team for Pals Paper Arts and create the sketches for the PPA Sketch Challenge each month.  I am so honored to share my cards with you this month and hope you find them inspiring!

Thank you so much Margaret! We are looking forward to an awesome month with you! The design team has been busy and they have some gorgeous samples to share with you!

For my card I decided to ink up a new stamp set for me called "Poinsettia and Pine" by Flourishes. I inked the stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copics. I stamped the sentiment right on the designer paper. I am also playing along with Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, where the image is partly cut off...my poinsettia doesn't quite fit the circle...

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Poinsettia and Pine (Flourishes)
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo, Copics
Paper: Be of Good Cheer and Soft Subtles Designer Pack (SU!), Flourishes White CS
Extras: White Satin Ribbon (SU!)

Mojo Monday and There She Goes {One Fine Chick!}

A quick opportunity to craft tonight and I had fun colouring! I seem to go through these colouring bouts and it is exciting to be inspired by a photograph and a sketch! My sketch is my interpretation of the fun sketch at Mojo Monday. Instead of a flower on the left side, I opted for a flagged sentiment. My colour choices come from the There She Goes Inspiration Challenge this week, the picture is below...it is full of Fall colours. I made this for a friend, who has been so much fun to work with!

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Blossom by Blossom (TSG)
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copics
Paper: Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla
Extras: Button, Square Scalloped Die
