Viva la Verve & The Colour Q {Viva la Kitty}

Today I am playing along with Verve Stamps {Viva la Verve} and the Colour Q. When I was taking the photo of this card, Penney decided to get into my light box for her closeup. LOL!

All settled for her big moment.

For my card I used Bloom and Grow from Verve Stamps and Birthday to You Plain Jane. The colours at The Colour Q are some of my favourite and I just had to get inky!

Hooray...I Crafted!

Hooray! Saturday is here and I am SO thankful for it. I have a list about a mile long of things to do...laundry, decorating, dishes, crafting...you get the picture. I have not crafted in over a week! Gasp! My life has been hectic with work...and I have to say; I am looking forward to my Christmas break.

So tonight I cleaned my craft space and lo n' behold...felt like crafting! Woot! So I decided to play along with a few of my favourite challenges...

Paper Smooches, Simon Says Stamp, Colour Q & MOJO Monday {With Sympathy}

Tonight I had the chance to get crafty and it has been long overdue! I have missed so many challenges and I desperately wanted to get inky tonight!!! I hope this weekend I will have some more time to play again!!! Tonight I am playing along with Paper Smooches, the Colour Q , Simon Says Anything Goes and the MOJO Monday Sketch!!!

I wanted to use Gray as my "other" colour. I guess I was in a grayscale mood. I paper pieced the jar on some soft gray paper and stamped the flowers in black ink. I used some AC textured white paper for my card...as I was aiming for a more clean and simple look.

TSG Sketch #204, Simon Says & Colour Q {Howdy Y'All}

The Sketch over at There She Goes caught my attention right away! Loved the clean lines! I was inspired to colour this sweet cowgirl from the set called "Giddy Up". The colours over at the Colour Q were lots of fun too and I thought this lil' darlin' would look so cute with "carrot coloured" hair. I am also linking up to Simon Says Stamp-Anything Goes Challenge.

The designer paper is a brand new 6 x 6 pack from My Mind's Eye, that I picked up a couple of weeks ago but hadn't had the chance to cut into, because I have been so sick. It is wonderful to be able to breathe almost normally again. It was nice to have the energy to craft! I haven't made anything new in 10 days because of this flu!

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Giddy Up (TSG)
Inks: Copics and Memento Black
Papers: MME, Kraft, Black, Flourishes White, retired SU!
Extras: Circle Punches, Baker's Twine in Hot Pink, Button,
Square Punch to create flagged sentiment

Hope {Celebrate Today}

Just a clean and simple card I made tonight, using a sweet set from Verve called "Joyful Blooms". I love the simple, pretty flower. I choose the sentiment because of the CASology Challenge word-HOPE. I think Hope is about living in the moment and celebrating today! I kept my card clean and simple for CASology...no designer papers or heavy layers, I just went simple. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday and the colours from the Colour Q.

I finally opened the light tent my sister bought me for Christmas. Wow, what a difference! Although I do think I could still use it better...need a few tries to figure it out.

Playing with Mama Elephant Stamps {Colour Q & Tuesday Morning Sketches}

Here is a card I made for the Colour Q and Tuesday Morning Sketches. I uploaded it to my Splitcoast Stampers Gallery yesterday but thought I would post here as well. I inked up a new set for me from a new stamp company called "Mama Elephant". The set is a baby themed set which is perfect as I needed to make a baby card for a dear friend who is due this week!!

{Supplies Used}
Inks: Copics, Memento Black
Papers: Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight, Scraps from my DSP stash, White
Extras: Pearls, Embossing Folders, Big Shot, Scallop/Ovals Spellbinders

Muse, Colour Q & Simon Says {Friends}

Wow, what a day!!! I was so excited to get home to craft! I absolutely LOVED the MUSE Challenge this week and just had to play along! Therese Calvird is the MUSE this week and I just adored her pretty, springy card! I was also intrigued by the Colour Q Challenge. I saw the two greens and thought, wow, this is a cool colour combo! So I went to work.

I also am linking up my card to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge "A Bit of Green". I used a Penny Black sentiment that I have had for years and stamped it onto a MFT label die.

Whimsy and Stars Wednesday {Best Friends} and Colour Q #176

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: "Best Friends" by Whimsy and Stars
Inks: Copics, Memento Black
Papers: Retired Close to my Heart and Flourishes White CS
Extras: Big Shot, Circle Dies, Flower

Welcome to Whimsy and Stars Wednesday! The second Wednesday of each month, I will be sharing a card or creation that I have made using a sweet image from Whimsy and Stars Studio. Mabelle has SUCH adorable images and there was one that caught my eye! I decided to use this image for a thank you card for my amazing bestie Jackie. I used the aptly named digital stamp called "Best Friends".

Digital Stamp: Best Friends

Using my circle nestabilities, I focussed in on the friends, so that their sweet faces would shine. The papers are from Close to my Heart and the cardstock is Flourishes in White (I love that stuff).

Love the Colour Q Colours...perfect for these sweet girls!!!
