Cardabilities #57- {Season's Greetings}

This week at Cardabilities, Karan has created a fascinating sketch, one that I love! I was going to add some apples and do a teacher thank you but in the end, snowflakes won out as I wanted to use some of the new In Colours "Gumball Green" and "Raspberry Ripple". My card is very simple...I used the cute snowflake from the "Jolly Bingo Bits" stamp set. I think you could use any of those teeny stamps for this sketch!

I hope you get the chance to join us at Cardabilities this week!

Cardabilities #56 {Celebrate Today}

This week at Cardabilities, Karan has a very interesting sketch of which I took some liberal interpretation! I did find this sketch to be very challenging, but I hope it inspires you to create something beautiful! I used Baja Breeze as my base and inked up the Summer Solstice set with the Perfectly Penned set!

I hope you get the chance to join us at Cardabilities!!!

Cardabilities #55 {Hello}

May 15th is here and that means a brand new sketch over at Cardabilities!  I loved the sketch and decided to take a clean approach to it!  I used my new but retiring "Triple Treat Flower" stamp. Love using it, wish I had bought it at the beginning of the last catalogue! What was I waiting for?

For my colours I went with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, using some Summer Smooches Designer Paper. The leaves are created using my Bird Punch and the sentiment comes from the Sale-A-Bration set called "Elementary Elegance". I completed the look with the embossed, dots background.

I hope you get the chance to join us over at Cardabilities , the challenge is on for the next two weeks!

Cardibilities #54 {Thank You}

Time for another week at Cardibilities!  This week's sketch is super versatile!  I chose to ink up a an old favourite of mine called "For All You Do". This set is retiring at the end of May! I hope you get the chance to join us for the next two weeks!

I choose to work with Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and Lucky Limeade. The flowers have some pearls in the centers and I used the Scallop trip border punch for my trim in the middle. The designer paper is from the In Colour Designer Paper Pack.  I embossed the bottom of the card with my dots folder. A quick and simple thank you card for my stash!

Cardabilities Sketch #50 {Happy Easter}

Another post today! Wow, I am on a roll! If you are looking for my Paper Players Post, please click HERE. I wanted to play along with the current sketch at Cardabilities.  I love trying new sketches that push me out of my comfort zone and this one really did! I turned the sketch on its side.

~ Supplies Used ~
Stamps: Everybunny and Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU!)
Inks: Black Stazon, SU Markers (Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Pool Party)
Papers: SU DSP In Color Pack (2012), In Color Hostess Pack, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, White
Extras: Spellbinders, Dies from SU, Petite roses from Michael's dollar bin, Punches from SU!

I just adore this sweet Bunny set from Stampin' Up, one can never have too many cute sets!! Plus it is fun to colour. I used my neglected Stampin' Write Markers for the job, in Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Pool Party. The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Pool Party Ink. I had some wee roses in my stash and decided to add them to this card, to add a feminine touch!!!

CAS Balloons for Three Challenges

I have been dabbling in clean and simple cards, trying to add "less" but sometimes I find myself wanting to add more!  I used the colours from the Colour Q, the sketch from Cardabilities and the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge to create a party card with Ribbon.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Celebrate from AMUSE
Inks: Basic Black
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Pretty in Pink, White
Extras: Word Window Punch, the Large Oval Punch and the 1 1/4" Circle Punch,
Baker's Twine, 1/8" Vanilla Grosgrain

The ribbon is in Very Vanilla and the bow is tied with my stash of Baker's Twine, taken from the photo inspiration at Colour Q.  The balloons were created with my Word Window Punch, the Large Oval Punch and the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, all from SU!  I decided to round the bottom corner of my card for some interest.

Cardabilities Sketch #42 and "The Colour Throwdown" #167 {Sweet Winter Wishes}

The weekend is here and I am so excited to have a day to stamp! All week, I have been meaning to get to the Colour Throwdown and Cardabilities challenges!  Both were really fun this week and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I love that!  I used my new My Favourite Things stamps to create this card!  I was also excited to use some scraps of DSP that I had been hoarding saving for a layout just like this!!!

My image is coloured with Copics and I pulled out some Circle Nestabilities to create the frame around the main image. The background is Pretty in Pink, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I also decided to add some bling to the image and punched out two snowflakes from glimmer paper. I love that stuff!  The inside is also finished off with DSP and a sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Smiles,

Cardabilities #41 {Vintage Note}

I have been in a crafting mood lately, and I have been trying to find new challenge blogs to play!  Well, I found a new one...new to me that is!  What a great sketch this week.  The challenge is called Cardabilities and here is their sketch!

Tonight I wanted to create something vintage and warm. I used some new Bo Bunny paper and I got out my Copics to colour the floral image from Stampendous. The butterflies are from my embosslit die called "Beautiful Wings" from Stampin' Up and I added some pearls to the butterflies.  I don't know why I used black but it seemed to bring out the richness of the paper. I hope you think so too!  I sponged all the edges with some Crumb Cake Ink.
