The other two have been posted HERE and HERE.  This is may be all my crafting for the week but it felt so good to get crafty! I hope you get the chance to craft too.

CAS(E) this Sketch {Peace on Earth}

Happy Monday! I finally got the opportunity to play along with the fun sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch this week! All last week, I kept looking at it and I knew exactly what I wanted to create but I had to flip the sketch so that the circles were on the left side as that was the only way this Memory Box Die will cut. The sketch provided me with the opportunity to use this die again, I just love it! I added a single rhinestone to the top left hand corner to represent the Star of Bethlehem. The sentiment comes from Flourishes and I actually cut it up to make the sentiment along the bottom of the houses.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Sentiment (Flourishes)
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist and Retired SU! DSP
Extras: Memory Box Die, Big Shot, Rhinestone

Dynamic Duos #18-Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade

This week at Dynamic Duos, we have a bright colour combo for the start of the month with Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade. They are in truth, my favourite colours and I was excited to use them this week!

I wanted to make something fun for my classroom, so I decided to make a pennant, with these fun vibrant colours. I cut the triangles myself...here is what I did...

  1. I cut a piece of cardstock (red or green) to be 5 1/2" squared.
  2. Then I used my scoring tool to create a score at 2 1/4" or in the middle from top to bottom.
  3. Then I put the paper in my cutter, and lined up the top corner with the bottom of the middle score line and cut off that piece.
  4. I did this on both sides so that I was left with a triangle.
  5. Then I placed the triangle into my Chevron embossing folder to add some texture to the top of my triangle.

Using my cropping tool, I crimped some eyelets into each corner, to run the Baker's Twine through. I also used a Memory Box Die for the white circle, isn't it pretty!! So lacy! The butterfly was punched out with the new Stampin' Up Butterfly die and I added three gemstones to each one. The 2 3/8" scallop circle added some interest below the white, lacy circle. I am going to hang this along my whiteboard at school, it is fun and colourful!!! I hope the kids will enjoy it!

I would love for you to come and join us this week at Dynamic Duos

Freshly Made Sketches #14 {Peace}

Today is Wednesday and that means it is time for another Freshly Made Sketch ChallengeJennifer Timko is our Sketch Designer this week and she had come up with a wonderful sketch for us to play with! I also found a new blog called "Young Crafter's Unite" and they are looking for die cutting on a project.

I recently purchased this wonderful die for my Big Shot called "Deer Trio" from Memory Box.  I cut out the deer in Soft Suede and paired it with some Saint Nick Fancy Pants Designer Paper.  The sentiment comes from Inspired by Stamping as is inked up with Early Espresso ink.  The snowflake comes from the My Favorite Things Snowflake Trio Dienamic.

We hope that you will join Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Please be sure to visit the other DT Members to see their wonderful creations!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
