Andrew Hamlet - Bass
Cameron Weeks - Drums
Art Edmaiston - Saxophone
Anthony Farrell - Keyboards, Organ
Led by frontman Reed Turchi’s slide guitar fuzz and hard-edged vocals, ''Can’t Bury Your Past'' is a culmination of the trio’s own “kudzu boogie,” the grimy-Memphis-motel saxophone of Art Edmaiston (JJ Grey and Mofro, Bo-Keys), soul-infused B3-organ and keyboards from Anthony Farrell (Greyhounds, JJ Grey and Mofro), the Billy Cox-meets-Talking Heads bass style of Andrew Hamlet, and the rock-steady Bonham-esque beats laid down by drummer Cameron Weeks. The band kicks off an international tour schedule April 17, moving from the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast before hitting the summer festival circuit in Europe.
Following 2013’s vinyl EP My Time Ain’t Now, Can’t Bury your Past returns to the hard-hitting approach of their Live in Lafayette album, starting with the slow-burning single “Take Me Back Home,” winding its way through a modern reworking of a classic in “450 Miles,” the dark elegy “Brother’s Blood,” and the promise of hot nights fulfilled in “Lightning Skies,” a scorching dance floor thumper. Stream and share the lead track, “Take Me Back Home”.
