“Gaëlle Buswel is not a folk-rock singer/guitarist. She simply is THE folk-rock singer/guitarist of the year. She’s just as generous as she is talented.”
La Nouvelle République, by Alain Vidart
“This towering, oh-so genuine girl really knows how to use up the stage, effortlessly moving from electrifying rock to intimate atmospheres. Likewise, her voice flows effortlessly into the melodies, from fortissimos to whispers using her vocal range to its full extent, always with generous helpings of her liquid, honey-flavored high notes.”

Gaelle Buswel is one to watch for!
L’échos Sarthois daily newspaper
“A ravishing smile – not to mention a raspy voice you’d think came from a blues-woman in her 50s make Gaëlle Buswel a one-of-a-kind artist who won’t leave you unmoved. She is undoubtedly on her way to the top.”
Joel Bizon, (BCR La Revue)
“This young French lady performs her rough diamonds in the language of Shakespeare. It’s immediate, magical and irreversible. Moving and captivating!”
GAËLLE BUSWEL, an extraordinary voice! This young singer/guitarist endowed with a ravishing smile is a great live performer with already more than 500 concerts across Europe under her belt. Her performances give off both electrifying energy and intense emotion against a background of captivating guitar rhythms. Grounded and unpretentious, she delivers fresh, sincere concerts with genuine character. You cannot remain unmoved by this atypical artist.
She was raised on blues music and has a voice that will make you shiver. After her first public appearance in the band “Cam On” which toured around France, Belgium and England, Gaëlle Buswel went solo and now writes most of her lyrics and tunes. The 2012 release of “Yesterday’s Shadow”, her promising; unplugged debut album in a blues and folk style has earned her a dedicated following seduced by her unusual and authentic world.
The track “Yesterday’s Shadow” went straight to the top of the chart in the US on the ‘Concert Blogger’ website and has been broadcast on television and radio stations in France and internationally.
When Led Zeppelin, Joe Cocker and Queen met Neil Young and Janis Joplin by her crib, it fermented into a mix of complementary musical inspirations.
It is not surprising then that, from a very early age, the young artist became interested in raspy-voiced music from the 70s… As a teenager, she found herself completely surrounded by blues music as she delved into the albums of Bonnie Raitt and Jonny Lang.
Gaëlle Buswel is a seasoned live performer. She has been playing concerts with bands and solo since the tender age of 13 and, deep down, has always known that this is what she was destined to do. These days, it’s her own songs she shares with her fans and the rest of the musical world, tinted with her influences but still very now.
With her heart touching lyrics and grasping melodies that will carry you away, Gaëlle Buswel has the rare ability of turning her vision of the world into music, making her a sincere, complete and unique artist.
She has appeared at a host of festivals such as: Blues au Féminin with Rock and Folk magazine, La Nuit de la Guitare, Le Grand’ Angle, Le Cabaret Sauvage, Les Dérives du Sud with Louis Bertignac, Hard Rock Café, All That Jazz, Le Soubock with Elliott Murphy, Divan du Monde, Musik à Manosque with Les Tambours du Bronx in front of a captive audience of 10,500 people, as well as other shows in England, Germany, Poland and more. She performed for the “Vampire Diaries” series when the actors paid a visit to France and opened for “One Tree Hill” star Tyler Hilton.
Her second album called « Black to Blue » is scheduled for release the 4th June 2014 in France and in July with a Tour in Canada.

“GAËLLE BUSWEL has a voice that hit my heart and soul the first time I heard it! It was both dirty and beautiful at the same time… very smoky, mysterious and captivating. It was a pleasure for me to work with Gaëlle Buswel because she has such a great natural feeling about what she obviously loves to do!”
