ALBUM NOTES
Finding my Way is the third and latest album by the Dutch pop formation ENorm. Produced at the Shamrock Studio and mastered at Alchemy Mastering in the UK, it is the band’s best record yet.
The album features thirteen varied songs combining happy and up-tempo with sad as well as contemplative songs.
Happy songs that take you back to the carefree days of a childhood, playing football in the street and falling in love with a school teacher.
Contemplative songs about the resemblance between a father and son and the confusing feelings of an impossible love.
Rather sad and emotional tracks where the singer ponders the death of a young girl, the emptiness she leaves behind and the suicide of a friend, wondering if he or anyone else could have made a difference.
Still: every cloud has a silver lining and through the songs on Finding my Way the band wants to encourage and persuade the listener that there is no use losing yourself in sadness when life has so much to offer: “So open up your suitcase and face the blazing sunlight with open eyes” is but an example (from the song The Widow).
Come on and see the horizon and the blackness will grow lighter because this world is, after all, a nice place to stay!
