Fronted by the tall, lean harp-blowin' Missourian vocalist Daddy Long Legs -- from whom the band derives its name -- this raw and energetic outfit's lo-fi sound is positively dripping with the blues. Completing the trio with Murat Aktürk (guitar/vocals) and Josh Styles (drums/percussion), Daddy Long Legs signed to New York's unashamedly retro Norton label in 2010. Their debut single, "Cocksucker Blues," featured a cover of the Stones' "The Under Assistant West Coast Promotional Man" on the flip. After backing wild Chicagoan bluesman T. Valentine on his The Vampire album in 2012, Daddy Long Legs issued their self-produced debut long-player, Evil Eye on You, in the same year. This shot of raucous stomping blues-punk earned the band support slots with the likes of the Flamin' Groovies, the Sonics, and ? & the Mysterians. Daddy Long Legs recorded a double A-sided single with Canadian rockabilly artist Bloodshot Bill before their sophomore effort, Blood from a Stone -- produced by Matt Verta-Ray (Speedball Baby, Heavy Trash) -- surfaced in 2014, and the messianic blues fervor of their live shows was captured on 2015's Rides Tonight.
