Sparkly Happy New Year Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

***NOTE:  I will be moving my blog to Painted Mountain Cards in the New Year. I will leave this blog open, as there are frequent hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog and I have a sparkly New Years card to share.

I found this package of stickers in my Christmas embellishment box - I didn't get around to using them last year.

I added some hand lettering with a gold gel pen. The gold glitter paper is by Stampin' Up - I love that stuff.

Supplies:
Circle Flip-It's #   - Sizzix
Stickers - Jolee's Boutique
Charcoal Stardream card stock (Pearlized black)
Gold glitter paper - Stamping' Up
Gold gel pen - Sakura

Card size - standard A2

Scalloped Edge Flip-It Card Trio

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog and I have three similar Flip-It Christmas cards to share.

These are the felt stickers that were left over from a challenge card that required stitches or sewing on the card. I was able to use up these smaller pieces of patterned paper and the rest of the stickers for these cards. That always feels good.

The cards are all the same inside ...

***NOTE:  I will be moving my cards and paper crafting to Painted Mountain Cards in the New Year. I've been toying around with the idea for a long while, and this seems like a good time to make the change. I will leave this blog open, as there are frequent hits from Pinterest and over 5 years worth of cards etc to reference.

Supplies:
Circle Flip It's #2 - Sizzix
White card stock
Stitched Circle - My Favorite Things
Patterned paper - stash

Snowflake Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

Woo Hoo - even though it's a little later than I like, all 50 handmade cards are in the mail with the holiday letter. My Mom's 20+ handmade Christmas cards were given to her in late October, so that was crossed off the list already. I have done some card hand delivering and more to come but it's safe to say I've finished my Christmas Cards! It's always a big job - fun, but still a big job and I love when it's behind me.

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a snowflake Christmas card to share today. This is one that was mailed out yesterday. And I still have Christmas cards to share here this month.

One of the things I like about Flip-It's (in addition to how quick they are to make) is the opportunity to use up smaller pieces of patterned paper. This was the last bit of the sparkly blue patterned paper and I love using things up. The snowflake border is an older Sizzix die that I enjoyed pulling out again for this card.

Purple and Pumpkin Halloween Flip-It

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Halloween Flip-Its card to share today. I had a couple of smaller pieces of this fun Halloween print paper leftover, and they fit perfectly on the card.

The Trick Or Treat piece was trimmed from a different paper in the package, and I adhered an enamel dot on the end. The pumpkin embellishment is from my stash.

Inside I used one of Karen Burniston's Halloween Clear Stamps.

This card will be put away until Halloween 2017, but I didn't want to hang onto the pictures for a year.

Supplies:
Purple card stock
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Pumpkin - K & Company
Square Flip-Its - Sizzix
Halloween Clear Stamps, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Enamel Dot

Holiday Robin Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Christmas card to share today using a 5 x 7" Flip-It die from Sizzix.

The patterned paper has lovely gold foil bits in it.

I fussy cut the left side of the banner, stopping when I reached the edge of the panel on the right side of the card. Then I adhered it to the card being mindful of the score lines and folds. It was sort of a whim to try it and I'm happy with how it turned out.

On a personal note, yesterday was a better day. I still sleep for at least an hour after every pain pill but my neighbour (who has had 51 surgeries in her life) says sleep is the best way to heal. I was able to get in and out of bed without assistance so that's a big step forward. The Dr. gave me a note to give to my employer, that I would need to be off work for two weeks. So I guess I need to give it more time, - I'm only a few days into my recovery.

That same neighbour brought me over some Magnesium Oil Spray and it worked wonders on my back spasms.

I received a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from friends down here so that really made my day yesterday too.

Ok - I'm sure it's time for another sleep.

Supplies:
5 x 7 Circle Flip-It - Sizzix
White card stock
Patterned paper - DCWV
Stitched ovals - My Favorite Things
Stamps - Verve
Gold gel pen - Sakura

Card size - 5 x 7"

C4C 359 Bee Happy Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday  so that means a new challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog. Our October 2016 hostess is Caz Counsell and our Guest Designer is Heidi Green - The Crafty Goat Girl

Caz's challenge is:  "Bees and Bugs – include bees or bugs on your card this week"

I immediately wanted to use Joset's cute bee dies ... so pulled out the Triple Circle Flip-Its to make my card.

The black is actually self adhesive velvet and I love the look it gives the bees. You just want to touch them when you hold the card.

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd  love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C359.

Supplies:

Yellow card stock - Papertrey Ink
Triple Circle Flip-It - Sizzix

Flip-It Birthday Trio with Butterflies

Good morning friends

For Throwback Thursday on my blog and I have a trio of Flip-It cards made a LONG time ago and never posted.

The paper stack was called Sorbet, I do remember that - and it was very heavyweight and glittered. Beautiful, but it didn't fold well so needed to be used as layers rather than card bases. The scalloped edge Flip-It's die was new for me back then and I was having lots of fun with it!

Card #1 ... gives you a good  idea of how sparkly the patterned paper is!

Card #2 ... the colours in this paper stack just made me happy.

Finally, card #3 ...

Ice Cream Flip-It Card

Good morning friends

Every July I send my Mom an Ice Cream Card. Her Dad used to take her to a parade in their town, then out for an Ice Cream Soda afterwards. This is my little way of keeping that tradition alive for her. If we can be together, we do celebrate with ice cream.

I used Joset's Ice Cream Cone from Elizabeth Craft Designs on a 5 x 7" Flip-It card. To make the Ice Cream Cone stand out a little more, I added a hand cut black shadow to the cone.

The white circle on the back side is where I will write our message.

Supplies:
Black card stock
5 x 7 Circle Flip-it's - Sizzix
Patterned paper - Stampin' Up
Stitched Circles - My Favorite Things

Felt Birthday Cake Flip-It Card

Good morning friends.

I mentioned that I like to bring my wonderful Dental Hygienist a set of birthday cards when I see her. Well, I was on an 'on call' list and they let me know they had an opening this week if I could make it. Well yes! And I even had all Anne's cards ready.

The appointment didn't go well. I had had a toothache last month that seemed to resolve itself but I pointed it out anyhow. She was concerned. She took an Xray which showed a large abscess under a tooth that already had a root canal and a crown. Because I'm on immune suppressing drugs for my RA, I likely wasn't able to fight the infection. It's fairly serious - infection in the bone when you are immune suppressed is never a good thing. They got me started on antibiotics right away and the specialist saw me two days later. He determined that the infection has been there for a long time - & maybe some of how I've been feeling the past year has been because of that.

Now I remain in a holding pattern while the dentist and specialist figure out the best options. My new RA meds have also been put on hold. The insurance denied the next preferred drug, so now it's between them and the Rheumy. Obviously though, until the abscess is cleared up and my mouth has healed from whatever route we have to go - no new Rheumatoid Arthritis meds for me.

Meanwhile, it's Flip-It Friday and here is one of the cards I put in Anne's card pack ...

The front has a fun felt birthday cake that I found on clearance somewhere. They were actually on clothespins, but I removed the cakes to use them as card embellishments.

Supplies:
Beige Astroparche card stock
Square Flip-It - Sizzix
Stickles
Felt cake - stash
Patterned paper - Carta Bella
Words - My Favorite Things

Large Birthday Flip-It Card With Orange Balloons.

Good morning friends

I had fun making this card - I just love the deep orange with the green on this patterned paper. Both sheets came from the same paper stack.

I used the 5 x 7" Circle Flip-It's by Sizzix, which comes with the balloon border and the pretty Happy Birthday Circle. The layered banner die was one of my purchases from the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show ... I'm a sucker for banners.

I was in a huge hurry when I made this card - when I have more time, I'd like to do another one but do ombre colouring on the stamped greeting. It would be so pretty done in colour! It's hard to see in the photos, but the orange patterned card stock has embossed glittery bits.

Supplies:
Circle Flip-It 5 x 7 - Sizzix
Patterned paper - DCWV
Banners - Our Daily Bread
Stitched Circles - My Favorite Things
Word Stamp - Papertrey Ink
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Adhesive, 4" width

Card size - 5 x 7"
