A Treasure Chest of Memories and Laughter

Hi Friend! Today I'm sharing a card made with the Pretty Little Studio Love Is Kind Collection. I had lots of fun layering lots of different elements to create a cozy patchwork card that is sure to warm your heart !

I started with a panel of printed paper. It looks like I mixed the papers, but they're actually printed to look that way. I topped them with a journaling card and then added a double layer of die cut scallops along the left edge. The sentiment is a die cut, but I always try to rethink the items and often cut sentiments from journaling cards.

I added a small die cut pink striped frame to the journaling card and then a double stack of die cut hearts. Die cut flowers embellish the heart.

The finishing touch is some faux stitch stickers. They're printed on clear plastic so whatever you place them over shows through. I also added a few gems from my stash for some sparkle and shine.

Hi Friend! Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Today I'm sharing a pretty floral card made with the Pretty Little Studio Love Is Kind Collection. This collection has the most beautiful florals ready to be arranged!

What I love about this collection is that even if you're new at papercrafting - mixing and matching prints or creating florals couldn't be easier. The background papers have a layered look, but they're actually one layer - printed with more than one design. I just added a journaling card for a focal point on this card.

The florals are super easy too. The die cut floral packs contain both single blooms or printed arrangements for you to choose from.

The best part is embellishing. I cut a sentiment from a journaling card, added some faux stitching with a clear sticker, and a double stacked butterfly. The finishing touch was a sprinkle of bling from my stash.

Sunflower Hello

Hello Friend! I hope you're having a great day! I'm loving the change of seasons here - the nights are getting cold and leaves are changing colors. I recently had some surgery on my hands, stitches come out on Monday so please forgive any typos you might see.

Have you discovered the Foilable panels at Pink & Main? They are toner printed images on a glossy paper. You can use a Minc machine or laminator to add the Cheerfoil color/pattern of your choice. I've never had a sheet that didn't transfer completely. It's like magic and the effect is gorgeous.

The downside for me is that most shiny things are very difficult to photograph so it's hard to show you the glossy images. For my card today I used the Sunflowers Foilable panel. It's printed with black toner that I covered with Midnight Black Cheerfoil. I left the panel completely "naked" aka uncolored to show the detail and drama of the design without any distraction.

The pretty background papers are from the Bugs & Berries paper pack, and the simple sentiment is from the Fun Sentiment Banners. A bit of twine, a button and a sprinkle of glitter enamel dots add more color and detail to the design.

I'm playing along at the As You Like It Challenge where this time it's Ribbon or Twine and Why.  My vote is twine and mostly because it's the perfect size for a card - not too much of a distraction and also because it makes my cards more "mailable".  Don't get me wrong ... I do love ribbon, but for cards I'll always reach for twine first.

Good Friends and Great Adventures

Sending you some sunshine today with this bright yellow confection made with the Pretty Little Studio Love Is Kind Collection.

These gorgeous florals have me thinking of fall mums and summer's last hurrah of color! In my neck of the woods, the bees are collecting all the sweets they can find. We were also so excited to see part of the Monarch migration in our own yard as our Cottonwood trees were covered with them just for an evening.

This collection has the most beautiful florals. I selected those in shades of yellow to arrange for a monochromatic design.

This collection has lots of extras for embellishing including die cut scallop borders, journaling cards, frames, florals, butterflies and fantastic sentiments. I love all the messages of love and friendship. I found this sentiment on a journaling card.

I hope you're enjoying the change of season. My favorite part of crafting is that I can enjoy all the seasons for a sweet escape whenever I like.

To A Sweet Little Lady

Today I'm playing at A Cut Above where it's always about the die cuts and this month it's ANYTHING GOES so there's no excuse not to play along!

I'm really starting to feel that fall is in the air lately. The leaves are starting to fall from the cottonwood trees and the bees are extra aggressive searching out sweets. The nights are getting colder and I'm not ready to let go of the sunshine. It makes you stop and appreciate the good days even more.

So may card features lots of pretty layered flowers and a few ladybugs to boot! My husband always surprises me with a few flowers from our yard in a vase in a spot I can find them in the morning.

I added a frame made with Notched Corners and the Jar with Lids and Labels, Ladybug and Spring Flowers are all from Pink & Main.

Waffle Flower August Release Sneak Peeks Day 2

It's Day 2 of the sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. We're calling this release Summer Afternoon because it includes a mix of style from fluttering butterflies to tropical blooms!

Today we're going tropical! My card features the new Hibiscus Cluster Die! You can color it yourself with your favorite media or use the coordinating Hibiscus Cluster Stencil set! My son gifts me a Hibiscus plant every Mother's Day and I think these are just as pretty and Bonus.. I can ink them any color I like!

That amazing background is new too! These are two separate and completely stackable A2 size dies. The pierced layer is the Quatrefoil Texture die and is topped here with the outline in white called Quatrefoil Panel die.

The sentiment is a mixed font "Sending Hugs" from the Butterfly Trio stamp set. I'm in awe at the clean cuts around the letters that are more detailed than I'm used to seeing.

Hummingbird Hello

I know.. it's Monday already! Where did the weekend go? I got my grocery shopping done and put away.. WHEW! So now it's time for a break and some time to make! Today I'm playing along at Cupcake Inspirations where this is the inspiration cupcake this time!

It's for the BIRDS! I love birds so of course I want to play along!

I started with that yellow cupcake and light yellow/green frosting! That's my background. I cut the panel with the Pretty Pink Posh Scallops Pierced Plate. I like how it takes a plain flat background to the next level.

I topped the panel with pretty flowers from the Floral Wreath Builder Die set. You can leave the flowers flat or stack them like I did. Pretty pearls make great flower centers! Wink!

The Stitched Hummingbirds are cut from white cardstock and inked with Distress Ink. I added silly eyes because I think they're more fun and a simple sentiment from Friend Greetings. I like the mixed font sentiment and how the die fussy cuts the words.
