My card today features the new Pet Angels stamp and die set. It includes a pup and a kitty, the rainbow, hearts, paw prints and sentiments.

I'm a huge pet lover and it breaks my heart when someone looses a furry friend. My girl is getting up there in age and isn't in the best health, but every day she is still here with me is a blessing. I hope this card brings comfort to someone with a heart break.

The background is a rainbow of Distress Ink applied using the Cloudy Day stencil. I just inked a cloud line, turned the stencil and inked a new color starting with the pink and working my way down to the blue.

Birthday Dogs and Cats

Today I'm playing at Crafty Animals Challenge where it's always anything goes but be sure to include an animal of your choice!

Today I'm sharing a colorful birthday card! I started with a rainbow blend of Distress Oxide ink in pastel colors. Next I added a sparkly pawprint texture with the Paw Prints Stencil and some sparkly texture paste.

I made a frame from the Eyelet Rectangle die by cutting it first from white cardstock, and then adding a rectangle die inside the stitched area and cutting the piece again. You can turn just about any basic shape die into a frame by cutting out the center with another die.

Birthday Dogs and Cats from Pretty Pink Posh are added inside the frame with adhesive foam tape to make them more dimensional. Even the sentiment is included in the stamp set so nothing else is needed.

I'm totally an animal lover so this one makes me happy. I sure hope you're smiling too!

My Creative Scrapbook July 2025 Main Kit

This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Vicki Boutin "Cut & Paste" Collection as well as a few others to surprise you. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, chipboard, and lots more! Everything is perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!

This collection just screams Summer! The colors are bright and bold - think primary colors with added details in black for just the right amount of drama and contrast.

The kit has lots of different elements that I like to pair together. The animals, trees and clouds make great scene cards. A simple wave cut from green pattern paper becomes a hilly landscape, and blue print a sky.

Don't have a sun? Improvise like I did with a yellow flower! Sky doesn't need to be blue and grass doesn't need to be green.. use your imagination and see the world in your own unique way!

As a card maker I always start by cutting the papers down to 6x6" square that are more manageable for me. I like to keep the decorative edge attached (see the hearts on top of the stripes above as an example) whenever possible so I can use it on my designs. It looks like I coordinated it, but it was printed this way! The trim also makes great faux washi!

I like to use journaling cards and scraps of paper to make focal points so the die cut designs don't fade into the background when the patterns get busy.

I arrange the images on clear plastic sheets the size of my card front. This gives me a preview of what the finished card will look like before I commit and adhere everything in place. I can also slide pattern paper under the arrangement to see if my choices work well together.

The kit includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, and adhesives. This time my kit included some sequins and buttons too that you'll see scattered throughout my designs.

The bright colorful designs in this kit are a feast for the eyes, but my favorite part was not having to go shopping. My Creative Scrapbook selects and assembles all the items and ships them straight to my door so all I need to do is make!

Doggie Kisses for My Best Friend

I've got Miss Moriko on my mind today. Yesterday we had a long night. She was panting, pacing and kept pawing at the side of my bed. Of course I got up and spent the night sitting next to her trying to comfort her. This morning she is looking like her "normal" self. I'm going to keep an eye on her and take her to the vet if I see any other concerning behavior. She's my baby after all!

So today I'm sharing a little puppy love and doggie kisses on this cute gate fold card. The Waffle Flower Intertwined pups attach to the side of the card base so you can open them and reveal the secret message I put inside.

I love that the pups come with accessories like a bandana, collar and tags too. I cut a spot with scissors for the larger dog's chest. I inked the ears and part of the body with Distress Ink to add a little definition. Enamel dots are "eyes".

I colored the noses with a Sharpie black marker, but if your inspired you can cut one and adhere it over the die cut. It does have a partial cut that would make that very simple to do.

Here's how the card looks when it's open. Oh .. and that "doggie kisses" on the cover is a preprinted and die cut strip making it easy to add a little sentiment.

Best Dog Dad Ever!

Are you a cat person or a dog person? I love them both! But since I have a 100 pound dog - Miss Moriko - she's about all I can handle!

Today I'm playing with Waffle Flower stamps and dies to make a fun card for Mr. J. Since our kids have grown and gone he's now the Best Dog Dad EVER! He always joins me when he can for our daily walk, and makes sure to order extra take out so our girl can join us for our meals!

This card starts with a background of skinny stripes. The die cuts lots of strips at one time so it goes pretty quick and you'll have extras for next time.

I made two "filmstrip" panels using the Windows Trio square die. There are two dies in each set and so far there are three different window trio die sets to choose from.

I cut the dogs using the Best Friends die set. I just cut them from scraps of cardstock in a darker shade than the inlayed squares in the filmstrip boxes.  I added some colorful enamel dots to look like balls.
