Birthday Wishes and A Sale !

Today I'm playing at Die Cut Divas and this month is all about the critters! If you're hoping to play along you better hurry!

My card today is all die cuts! The cute little dog is from Pretty Pink Posh. He's part of the "holder" die series that have cut out arms so you can place different items in their hands. Different holders include a dog, cat, ghost, gingerbread person, fox and penguin.

There is also a holder additions series (Christmas, Easter, Valentine) so you can choose different elements for occasions to compliment your holder dies. I used the Birthday Holder Additions that includes the presents, birthday cupcake, and hat.

I added the Party Balloon from another set, and die cut the Wish sentiment included in the Birthday Holder Additions from an Eyelet Circle. The background is some stitched scallop Stacked Edges. I love that they piece together like puzzle pieces and lay completely FLAT.

I can always use another birthday card in my stash and I love how bright and colorful this one is! Have a great day!

Sweet Wishes

Today I'm playing along at Make My Monday where this time it's all about birthday cards and please add at least one flower. That is an easy one since flowers are my favorite! This one is super sweet too!

These little honey bees from the Pink & Main Hey Honey! stamp set are sending you sweet birthday wishes! The set comes with the bee images as well as the florals and sentiment.

These were easy to stamp, color and cut! The best part is arranging! I love that little guy sitting cross legged on the flowers at the bottom!

Or is the little guy waving and holding the one bloom cuter? Ah heck! You decide! I love them both!

Waffle Flower October Release Sneak Peek Day 1!

Hi friends and thanks for stopping by! I know I've been hit or miss lately and I apologize. There's been other issues that require my attention lately and I'm hopeful that things will be back to normal soon! It's a great day for a visit because today is Day 1 of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower release. This time we're calling it Sweet Gathering because the focus is on events that we gather for.. think Birthdays, Thanksgiving and other celebrations.

My card features the new Cake Time Texture Die that I inked with the coordinating Cake Time Stencil Set.

I'm still building my confidence with stencils, striving to keep clean lines and colors and add all the details that bring stenciled images to life. I love the Waffle Flower Grip Mat and detail brushes that are great for smaller areas. I also keep a pad of sticky notes handy to keep things clean under my hands.

I cut the finished design with the new Fringe Frames die set that adds torn edges , and then topped the design with a glittery Print Happy and Script Birthday word dies.

Birthday Dogs and Cats

Today I'm playing at Crafty Animals Challenge where it's always anything goes but be sure to include an animal of your choice!

Today I'm sharing a colorful birthday card! I started with a rainbow blend of Distress Oxide ink in pastel colors. Next I added a sparkly pawprint texture with the Paw Prints Stencil and some sparkly texture paste.

I made a frame from the Eyelet Rectangle die by cutting it first from white cardstock, and then adding a rectangle die inside the stitched area and cutting the piece again. You can turn just about any basic shape die into a frame by cutting out the center with another die.

Birthday Dogs and Cats from Pretty Pink Posh are added inside the frame with adhesive foam tape to make them more dimensional. Even the sentiment is included in the stamp set so nothing else is needed.

I'm totally an animal lover so this one makes me happy. I sure hope you're smiling too!

Waffle Flower September Release and Giveaway!

It's finally here! The Waffle Flower Crafts latest release is available in the store! We're calling this one Stenciled Stories because this release includes new book and postage dies that you stencil with cute images to tell your own story!

This one has lots of layers and a great mix of older and new products. The background is the Fancy Frames die in soft yellow. I topped that with a smaller cut panel of darker yellow paper that has the Rhombus Texture die pierced into it.

Next I added the great big Happy Birthday Script Die before embellishing it with the NEW Open Book Trio die cuts that were inked with the Open Book Trio stencil set. There are three different stencil sets available this release that are designed to work with the open books.

Those little bookmarks are new too! You can add sentiments to them, but I thought they looked cute tucked in among the books.

There is a new stamp set the fits on the book pages, but I used an older stamp set called Cupcake Topper Additions to show you that they work perfectly also.

Time To Party!

Today I'm playing along at Seize The Birthday where this time you are to add a food or drink to your design. That should be easy peasy because birthdays are all about the CAKE! LOL!

My card starts with a stenciled background of colorful boxes - this is the Pretty Pink Posh Square Grid stencil. I used distress ink and blocked off the different boxes with sticky notes to keep each area clean!

Next I stamped, colored and die cut the little iconic birthday images and adhered the images in the boxes. I tried to color coordinate them so the background matches the colors on the box background.

A die cut Doily Border in white topped with a solid piece of hot pink cardstock are added along the top edge along with a bow to make the finished card look like a package. The sentiment is added on a Sentiment strip and attached to the bow with a gourd shaped pin that you can find on Amazon.
