Merry & Bright

I hope you're feeling merry and bright and that the spirit of the season has filled your heart with peace and happiness! Today I'm sharing a card filled with holiday wishes from the whole gang!
I inked the group image from the Pink & Main Holiday Cuties set with alcohol inks. It was fun to add the colors and give each little character it's own personality. I tried to add as many colors as I could in the different accessories.. scarves, hats, and even a few gifts!

A Reverse Scallop Circle creates a focal point for the Holiday Cuties and doubles as a holder for a sprinkle of sequins. My shaker is completely flat making it easy to mail, but still filled with sparkly sequins.
I used papers from two different packs - the blue heart print is from the Happy Days collection, and the plaid is from the Cozy Winter collection. They mix together easily and I like the non traditional shades for this holiday card.
Wishing you and your family a blessed and Merry Christmas!

My Creative Scrapbook December 2024 Main Kit

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook
monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!

This time I'm working with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers from Vicki Boutin Wrapped in Ribbons Collection and loads of embellishments including die cuts from Simple Stories, stickers, a big die cut sentiment, flowers and more! There's lots of gold foil embellished vellum and clear plastic die cuts too!
The kit this time is holiday themed and features traditional Christmas colors of red and green. The kits are usually appropriate for the time of year they are featured and arrives in time to get things made. I'm primarily a card maker, but the kit transitions perfectly to other papercrafting projects too - like scrapbooking and decor.
I always arrange the elements on pieces of clear plastic the size of my card base. This helps me figure out the arrangement before I commit and adhere everything in place. I apply baby powder to the backs of the stickers so I can use them more like a preprinted die cut and adhere them when I'm ready.
The it includes everything you need to make these cards. The only items I added were the card bases, solid cardstock papers, adhesives, silver washi and enamel dots from my stash. You can incorporate you own favorite gems or sequins to add more sparkle to the designs.
My favorite pieces from this kit include all the Santas and of course the florals! Many of the pieces are large like this big candy cane filled mason jar, so all you need do is add some embellishments like the wreath, bow, and sentiment.
It was fun mixing and matching papers and creating layouts with this kit and I look forward to making with it every month!
I had lots left over paper and embellishments when I was done so I can make some tags and embellish my day planner too!
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

All cards finished size: 4.25 x 5.5" and made with the My Creative Scrapbook December 2024 Main Kit. Kit includes but is not limited to Vicki Boutin Wrapped in Ribbons 12" Sheets, Ephemera, Specialty Ephemera and Simple Stories Hearth & Holiday Foam Stickers.

Warm & Cozy

I hope you're keeping comfy cozy because WOW it's been getting cold! I walk the dog every morning and I've got the serious coat and boots out! I look forward to getting home.. maybe a warm cuppa would be a nice reward for being so brave!
My card today features the Pretty Little Studio Comfort and Joy collection. This collection is more pastel and earth tones.
I used the coffee cup to create a focal point for the design. I tucked cookies around it and a little ticket stub that says December on it.
I added a sticker sentiment "home for the holidays" along the top edge and a clear faux stitch sticker along the left side and bottom of the design. The stickers are perfect along seams where you patterned paper is pieced giving it a quilted look.
Thanks for your support this year. Hugs to you and your family and Merry Christmas!

Merry and Bright!

I can't believe how fast this month is flying. Christmas is just around the corner! And no I am not ready! I hope you are and that your plans are coming together. Today I'm sharing a fun almost completely Distress inked card.
The Waffle Flower Retro Christmas Tree is a die cut tree and ornament set that you ink with the coordinating stencils. Don't worry! Everything is included in one package!

You can ink up the colors as you like - I'm a bright sort of gal myself! LOL! I inked the tree layers, and the ornaments and then layered them on a Distress Oxide background panel in orange, pink and yellow.
I placed a little circle behind the gold star on the top of the tree so it looks like a halo. It also helps the star from disappearing into the yellow background.

A simple banner sentiment finishes off the card and adds more fun to the design with it's jaunty hanging letters.

Wishing you're days Merry and BRIGHT! I'm linking up at Crazy is Our Fame Stencils Are Our Game Challenge ! Where it's Christmas and USE A STENCIL!

Big Christmas Cupcake

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas! I hope you're plans are coming along well! I'm running late as always! I've been doing alot of baking and since it's too much for me and the Mr. we've been sharing whenever we can!
The Big Christmas Cupcake from Pretty Pink Posh is absolutely YUMMY! I love that you can customize the cupcake however you like! And just about all of the embellishments you see on the cupcake are included in the die set - like the presents, bow, snowflakes, heart, star, etc. I added the "cake" part of the cupcake from another of the cupcake die sets. This piece is included in the Fall, Valentine, and Birthday cupcake releases. I wanted that wavy topper to look like ganache chocolate over the cake.

I placed the cupcake on an Eyelet Circle die cut to look like a doily and added some presents around the base. Little half back pearls make the bow centers pop out and add some shine.
The pink background has been die cut with a Pierced Star design. This assembled die is a good size, and I really didn't want to cover up the cupcake. An Upright Greeting cut and added like a banner was the perfect solution.
I'm linking up at Cupcake Inspirations where this is the inspiration photo this time. They're also asking that you add a bow or a ribbon to your design.
I want to wish you all the best this time of year and always.
