Fall Tree Card

So have you seen the latest kit from SVG Cuts? It is amazing. I love FALL and this kit is perfect for some fall crafting!

I am not a big card maker but when I saw the Colorful Trees Card from the Fall Harvest SVG Kit I had to make it. I made it for my Mother-In-Law’s Birthday today.

I printed the sentiment on my new printer - the Epson 1430. It is wireless so I can print from anywhere in the house!

I did get some inspiration for this card from the recent JUGS Challenge. The challenge this week is to use your ribbon scraps. I had a 6" fall ribbon that I used to accent the front and also add a horizontal strip to the 3rd panel.

Here is the card all folded up - fits perfect in the envelope I cut from the SVG Kit
Card was cut with my Sizzix Eclips.

Here is a look at the entire Fall Harvest SVG Kit - Don’t you love it?

Hoppy Collage

Thanks for hopping in today. It seems like the baby name collages come and go and recently I have been doing a bunch of these. They are so fun and of course make a perfect, personalized baby shower gift. I created this one for my niece to give to her friend.

The baby’s room has a frog theme in pink, green and white. I actually made the froggie in Adobe Illustrator and saved off as an SVG. It matches the other frogs in the baby’s room.

The frame is from Joanns. They come in black and in this case I painted white. They are 19x9. The area at the right will feature the baby’s photo.

The scallop shapes at the bottom are a freebie from SVG Cuts - 2/25/10. The Sizzix eclips cuts the detail absolutely perfect (love!).

The butterflies are from SVG Cuts ~ Cheryl’s Cute Bugs SVG Kit. There is a JUGs challenge over on their site and you must use buttons in the center of your element. Well - I just so happened to do that on this project with my little butterflies so I will playing along over there.

Would you like to use my frog on a future project? Well just click here and I am happy to share him! Here is what he looks like:

3D Ornament = FUN!

I made this 3D Ornament for my sister-in-law. It was so darn fun to make! It is included in the latest kit from SVG Cuts ~ Spirits of Christmas Past.

I added a photo of my little great niece, Barb’s grand daughter and some ribbon and a Velvet Poppie from Creative Charms. Hmmm guess I will be making one for my other great niece too!

Must warn you...these 3D ornaments are so fun and easy...you may be making many of these too :) Going to enter the JUGS (Just Us Girls) Color Challenge for this one.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Collage with 3D Flowers

Hi everyone - I did this collage awhile back and when I recently saw the re-release of SVG Cuts 3D Flowers Part 1 and the JUGS Challenge thought I would post it. The challenge is to create a project using fabric.

This was my first time trying the 3D flowers from SVG CUTs and they were so fun to make. The purple flowers are the Begonia flower from the collection - it was a close match to the flower in the bouquets.

I made the orange flower buds from the actual bridesmaid's dress material and the calla lily is a silk flower from Michaels.

I struggled a bit with the orange and purple color combo - I think the Creative Charms Vintage Brads and gradient gems on my hydrangea helped to tie it all together.

Check out Mary's video here on how to assemble the 3D Flowers. Here is photo of the Kit:

Have a great day!

JUGS Challenge

Hey all - did this quick card for my niece. Got some color inspiration for the JUGS Challenge this week.

I used the Lever card from SVG Cuts - it is from the Peony Cottage SVG Kit. If you haven't picked this one up you should! SVG Cuts is having a sale now-ends today! Finished it off with some twine from The Twinery (check out there Summer Fun Giveaway before Friday) & Gradient Gems from Creative Charms. Patterned paper is from DCWV - Green stack. Matched my color sheme perfectly.

Check out the cool color combo:

Peace Card

I created this card for the SVG Cuts Christmas Card Challenge. Check out the great entires on their forum. I used elements from the Christmas Cookie Collection. The poinsetta, cardinal, branch and horizontal strips are from this collection. The Peace Border is a freebie from 11/21.

I used SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) and all elements are cut on the Cricut. I added some ribbon and finished off the branch with some pearls from Creative Charms. Background paper is from My Mind’s Eye - I Believe Collection.

I am also submitting this for the Just Us Girls Challenge to use a 3D Holiday Embellishment.
