Wedding Invitation Shadow Boxes

Hello, It's been awhile since I blogged. Life has been busy and we spent a wonderful week at the beach (lots of great beach photos to scrap!)

Hope you are having a great day today and Fourth of July Weekend.

It is wedding season and I have a few wedding shadow boxes to share today. These make great gifts for wedding showers or for the wedding. You could also display at the wedding on a nice stand.

My first one was a wedding featuring light purple roses and gerber daisies.
((Click on the image - get a closer look is well worth the click!))

I used the 3D Rose flowers from SVG Cuts’ Crush On You Boxes SVG Kit.
The other flowers are from 3D Flowers SVG Kit.
There are great tutorials showing how to assemble.

I used my go to most favorite bracket for this one. It’s from SVG Cuts’ Memory Garden Designer Page SVG Kit.

The second wedding theme was all about rustic. Burlap, Babies Breath, and Neutral Colors.

They had a K + G theme going throughout so I matched the K + G and cut it on my Cameo using white heat transfer vinyl.
I then ironed it on the burlap to create a border across the bottom.

Here’s a closer look:

These two wedding themes were completely different - that’s what makes a customized gift perfect!

Cricutholics Guest Designer

Awhile back Liz over at Cricutholics asked me be a guest designer over on their site. I shared my take out boxes back in late January and now I am back with some Wedding Invitation Collages.

These are so fun to make and everyone that's received one of these just love them. You can customize your wedding invite collages to match the theme and style of the wedding.

This first one has a rustic feel. I grabbed some twigs off my tree outside (thanks Kristin for the idea - she used them on a recent DT Project) and the leaves are from Joanns. The background scallop shape is from SVG Cuts and I cut it on my Cricut. I use foam core to layer the elements - it is inexpensive and adds alot of dimension.

On this one I used the colors of the invite and wedding and worked in the colors of the bouquet. The corners are accented with Creative Charms. Papers are from DCWV. I picked up the flowers are Joanns - K&Company - they matched perfectly!

Thanks for taking a look and stop over to the Cricutholics Site!
Stop back on Wednesday ~ have a Creative Charms Project to share.

Collage with 3D Flowers

Hi everyone - I did this collage awhile back and when I recently saw the re-release of SVG Cuts 3D Flowers Part 1 and the JUGS Challenge thought I would post it. The challenge is to create a project using fabric.

This was my first time trying the 3D flowers from SVG CUTs and they were so fun to make. The purple flowers are the Begonia flower from the collection - it was a close match to the flower in the bouquets.

I made the orange flower buds from the actual bridesmaid's dress material and the calla lily is a silk flower from Michaels.

I struggled a bit with the orange and purple color combo - I think the Creative Charms Vintage Brads and gradient gems on my hydrangea helped to tie it all together.

Check out Mary's video here on how to assemble the 3D Flowers. Here is photo of the Kit:

Have a great day!

Aarrgh!

Ahoy Mateys! I have a pirate themed invite to share with you today. Every year we have an Adult Cousin’s Party and all the first cousins and their adult kids come.

I started with the PDF of this treasure map from Disney Family Fun - it is a free printable. I took the map into Photoshop and added texture & shading.

I then added the wording: Check out this site - has pirate phrases - I stole a few.

Finished it off with an eye patch cut on my Cricut from SVG Cuts. There is entire Kit called Pirate Birthday Party SVG Kit. It has lots of goodies and I plan to make some items for my Cousin’s Party.

Wedding Time!

Wedding time is fast approaching and so are the Wedding Invite Collages! Here is one I am calling “The Perfect Pair Collage”. This couple has a pear/pair theme for the wedding and I worked in two pears at the top. I also incorporated the flowers from the wedding - white orchids. I used silk flowers as an accent.

The SVG Cuts background I used is one of my favorites - From Memory Garden Design Page SVG Kit - Emblem Page. I also used a border from Rosie's Ribbon Strips SVG Collection.

Pears are from Harvest Hill SVG Collection.

I used Pearls & Vintage Pearl Brads from Creative Charms along with a ribbon to add to the collage.

Hope you have a great weekend!

The Perfect Embellishment

Ever work on a project and look through your embellishments and say "Wow - that works perfect!"? That is what happened with my latest Wedding Invitation Collage.

The Creative Charms Vintage Velvet Poppies worked perfect with this collage. I added a paper flower behind the blue one to make it stand out. I also like using the Vintage Pearl Brads in White on these types of projects. They really are a nice accent to a formal piece.

The invite was a folder and cut the front with the couple's names embossed on it. I off-set it.

Here are a few closeups..

The scallop shape and strip at the bottom are from SVG Cuts. This project is featured on the Creative Charms Blog - stop by - there is a new project posted everyday by some very creative ladies.

More than Just a Wedding Invite Collage

So for my latest Wedding Shadowbox I worked in a bunch of cool stuff...from the invite to the favors, a photo and the little owls that the bride & groom used as their theme for the their wedding.

All the details on the Creative Charms products I used are over on the Creative Charms Blog if you’d like to check them out.

I used SVGs from SVG Cuts for this project too.

Autumn Breeze Collage

Just love the first line of this wedding invite...Like the leaves on an Autumn breeze, our hearts are uplifted by love...

I created this wedding invite collage for a fall wedding yesterday. I also provided photo booth services for the wedding and did an entire scrapbook using these colors and the fall theme. Check out some of my pages and a wonderful venue by clicking here.

Here are a few closeups - love the Creative Charms Pearls for accents. And my all time favorite background scallop shapes are from SVG Cuts. Cut on my Cricut using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot). Used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder (just peeking down from the top)

Also used some of the new Creative Charms Vintage Marble Brads - they come in a bunch of great colors.

What a great fall weekend!

Outdoor Wedding Collage

Yet another wedding invite collage. This one was a bit of a challenge - an outdoor casual wedding with green & brown as the colors. I seem to do better with black and white and the traditional wedding colors. But I like how this one came together.

I started with a full sheet paper that already had “Happily Ever After” on it - got it Joanns. I featured the “B” monogram from the bottom of the wedding invite.

I also featured the hydrangeas from SVG Cuts and used Creative Charms Gradient Gems on the middle of the flowers and also used some Antique Brads. (sorry photo is a bit fuzzy)

Have a great weekend!

Another Wedding Invite Collage

I used Bo Bunny for the background of this wedding invite collage. I just love the combo of purple and green. This bride created her own invite and her coworker asked that I create this for her.

The invite was in a purple folder and the bottom horizontal strip with the “H” wrapped around the folder so I incorporated into the collage - worked perfect.

The swirly and green leaves are from SVG Cuts. Can’t remember where the bracket in the background is from - most likely SVG Cuts.

Black & White Wedding Invite Collage

I am partial to black and white and I am pleased how this wedding invite collage turned out. Even my husband commented on it and he isn’t usually phased by my creations. :)

I used a great Best Creations Background paper. The brackets behind the invite are from SVG Cuts Strawberry Lane Digi Cart. The flowers for the wedding were white hydrangeas.

I used SVG Cuts Moonlight Garden Party Digi Cart to create those. Pearl accents were added to the flowers and the bracket. I used Creative Charms black gradient gems to accent along with a ribbon bow. A close up...
