Thanksgiving Layout

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
You may be asking your self - wow is Amy all caught up with scrapping? My answer to that is no - I'm exactly 1 year behind. Not too bad considering others are about 10 years behind (hope that's not you!)

I used some pretty DCWV papers for this layout - they are from the Autumn Melody stack which I have used alot this fall.
I am going to enter this layout in their stackaholic challenge.

Here’s a look at the sketch.

For the banner I used the Thanksgiving Dinner SVG Kit and the cute cuts are from Thankful Cuties SVG Collection.

I like how the stack had built in journal tags - just trimmed it out and journaled away.
My new favorite embellishment are the flair from Paper Play Studio.
It just adds a perfect touch to the layout.

So if you are one of those scrapping Turkey day tens years ago or this year hope I inspired you a bit with this layout.
Happy Scrappin!

Turkey Day Card

Wow - it has been awhile since I posted. I've been on the go lately with Halloween, Soccer and the usual stuff. We had Hurricane Sandy come thru and thankfully we did not have any damage. I have family and many colleagues in New Jersey and New York who were not so lucky. Prayers going out to everyone.

This week I was pumped when I saw Mary's latest collection ~ Thankful Cuties and I created this card. I am not much of a card maker but with Mary’s inspiration and a sketch I saw earlier in the day I decided to give it a go.

The papers are from DCWV (Autumn Melody Stack)
and that is where I am going to play along with their sketch challenge this month.

Twine is from Trendy Twine, my new favorite twine.

Here is a look at the entire SVG Cuts Collection ~ Thankful Cuties.

So much to be thankful for! Have a good weekend.

Wine & A Winner

I have a wine box to share with you today. When I go to a wedding I always give money to the bride and groom that way they can put it towards what they want. I like to give them something else to go along with it. How perfect is this wine box holding a bottle of their favorite wine?

I used papers from DCWV for this one  - they are from the Bella Armoire stack.
I cut the box and and hand cut the little square and rectangle shapes from the stack.

The little butterflies are from Creative Charms.

On my last post I showed you my Hot Box and Tag and offered up a giveaway. Thanks everyone for your comments!
I selected a winner and lucky number 13 won!

Congrats to Renee!

I will be sending over your SVG Cuts Gift Card via email. Maybe you will want to pick up some goodies this week so you can get Camp Smore SVG Kit free with purchase. Can't wait to start cutting these ~ perfect for my two little Cub Scouts.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Introducing Stampables

So SVG Cuts and Punkin’ Patch Stamps are both owned by the wonderful Leo & Mary. They created the perfect combination....Stampables. You may be asked what are Stampables? Well I did a little project with stampables and here is how I did it.

Step 1 ~ I cut the candy wrappers from the latest SVG Cuts Kit ~ Party On Elm Street. I adjusted the size slightly to hold two Kit Kats instead of just one. Papers by DCWV Midnight Spell.

Step 2 ~ Got out my Trick or Treat Stamps from Punkin’ Patch Stamps and figured out which ones would fit nicely on my candy wrappers. Also got out my ink & blocks.

Step 3 ~ Imported my Free Stampable SVGs into SCAL and cut my AC Cardstock. I always cut extra - I am new to stamping and don’t have my technique perfected.

Step 4 ~ Stamped my paper.

Step 5 ~ Attached my stamped cutouts to my candy wrappers with some foam tape. And here is my final product.

Sammie Could Not Resist Them!

Hey everyone - I have a fun Halloween Treat project to share with you today. I made these Halloween Crackers for son’s classmates. I was inspired by Thienly, my fellow SVG Cuts DT Member and fabulous crafter, here is her version. I made them slightly smaller to fit my candy perfectly.

I made little tags for each cracker and had a blast embellishing with Creative Charms. I used Vintage Halloween Self-Adhesive Metal Frames, Gradient Gems, Vintage Brads and Vintage Jewels to name a few.

Papers are from the DCWV Midnight Spell Stack and Stamps are from Punkin Patch Stamps ~ Trick or Treat. I created SVGs and cut on my Cricut using SCAL so the stamps fit perfect. I am new to stamping and loving it so far! Cracker file is from SVG Cuts.

My doggie Sammie, the soon to be one year old terrier mix, decided to partake on one my crackers - thank goodness I caught him before he digested any Creative Charms or Cow Tales (that is the candy inside). I do however have to make just one more before the Halloween party. Hope the kiddos like them as much as my four legged son did!

Thanks for stopping by today --- Please stop on over to my very talented friend Mel’s Blog In Love With A Bug - she is having a Creative Charms Giveaway today that you don't want to miss!

Happy Craftin'!

I had great fun playing with the Creative Charms Deal of the Month this weekend. I made these treat boxes for my boys’ teachers. They were so easy to make I may create these for all the kids in the class. I sure have plenty of Creative Charms elements left over from my Deal of the Month to create a bunch.

These boxes are a perfect size ~
4.75" wide x 1.75" deep x 4.25" high

Cricutholics Guest Designer

Awhile back Liz over at Cricutholics asked me be a guest designer over on their site. I shared my take out boxes back in late January and now I am back with some Wedding Invitation Collages.

These are so fun to make and everyone that's received one of these just love them. You can customize your wedding invite collages to match the theme and style of the wedding.

This first one has a rustic feel. I grabbed some twigs off my tree outside (thanks Kristin for the idea - she used them on a recent DT Project) and the leaves are from Joanns. The background scallop shape is from SVG Cuts and I cut it on my Cricut. I use foam core to layer the elements - it is inexpensive and adds alot of dimension.

a closeup:

On this one I used the colors of the invite and wedding and worked in the colors of the bouquet. The corners are accented with Creative Charms. Papers are from DCWV. I picked up the flowers are Joanns - K&Company - they matched perfectly!

Thanks for taking a look and stop over to the Cricutholics Site!
Stop back on Wednesday ~ have a Creative Charms Project to share.

It’s All About the Family

We recently got together for our Family Reunion. I created this layout to capture the fun of the day. Also featured the oldest and youngest members of the family on my layout.

I went Cricut-less for this project (I know not like me!) I used lots of stitching and the Creative Charms Deal of Month from May (Sparkling Garden of Delight) for this layout. All the Kits & Deals of the Month are 10% Off.

I used papers from DCWV Green Stack for this layout. I cut the flower from patterned paper to add as an accent. Here are a few closeups:

Isn't the little owl cute? And love how the Creative Charms are the perfect accent.

DCWV is having a sketch challenge over on their blog and I'm going to play along. Sketch is from Susan at Sketch Savvy.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to enter my contest before the end of today. Winner will be announced Thursday. See my prior post for the details.

JUGS Challenge

Hey all - did this quick card for my niece. Got some color inspiration for the JUGS Challenge this week.

I used the Lever card from SVG Cuts - it is from the Peony Cottage SVG Kit. If you haven't picked this one up you should! SVG Cuts is having a sale now-ends today! Finished it off with some twine from The Twinery (check out there Summer Fun Giveaway before Friday) & Gradient Gems from Creative Charms. Patterned paper is from DCWV - Green stack. Matched my color sheme perfectly.

Check out the cool color combo:
