Gorjuss New Year
First let me start off by saying a very belated Happy New Year to all my blogland friends.
Mine didn't start very well unfortunatly waking up on new years eve with flu, and after a look on the nhs website finding out it could possibably be swine flu!!
So i've been out of action till now, but i'm slowly starting to feel human again and today is the first time i've been near the room of stash in what seems like ages.

This is a little desktop calender a started b4 i got ill and now finally managed to finish.
I found a calender template online by googling, but Splitcoast Stampers also have some fab downloads if your a member.
I coloured the girls with my copics, the only differance was the sitting girl is done on smooth graphic 160gsm paper and the other on my new 180gsm cartridge paper, which i really am loving the effect of, the colours just blend so much better, not that you can tell this from the pic {or maybe you can}
I also used one of my new MS deep edge border punches and a couple of prima and paper flowers to finish, the papers used were BG.
This project fits in with a few of this weeks challenges including:
Cute Card Thursday 'All New'
Stamp Something 'New somethings'
Secret Crafter 'New Beginnings'
and a very late but just in time entry for Daring Cardmakers 'New Beginnings'

So anyways here is just one of the squillion i managed today..
I was just having a play with some left over scraps and also trying again to bring my TH stamps into my card making more.. i love this street lamp..
And without knowing it i've managed to partake in a couple of challenges too
Creatalicious Challenge ~ Something for Christmas 'including snowflakes and sparkle'
Colour Create ~ Green, Red & White
And I'm being cheeky and adding Anyone for Anya ~ Getting round to it! {as my card is Anya and it does have a round sentiment so i'm hoping that's ok}

Sugar & Spice...NOT!
Ok.. so i'm way later than i wanted to be with this post.. the joys of a working life!!!! I finally have a couple of well earned days off.. so can finally share the card i made on Saturday!!
Totally Gorjuss 'Bling'
Allsorts 'Bling'
Stamp Scrap & Doodle 'Special Folds'
Create 4 Fun 'The Sketch'
One Stop Craft 'Cards for Kids'
Secret Crafter 'An Easel Card'
The pic doesn't do it justice really.. but it was the best out of i don't know how many i tryed to take and in the end gave up.. maybe i'll try one more time later if the sun decides to come out {highly unlikely}
I used an assortment of papers including BG, DCWV and one i created myself using the houndstooth background stamp from Artistic Stamper... I gave gorjuss some padded wings and used one of my own design skull stamps to embellish along with some yummy paper roses.. oh and of course lots and lots of bling'y gems!
Don't forget today is the last day to enter my candy!

Puppy Love!
This time i managed to join in with 3 of saturdays challenges
'Our Creative Corner' the prompt Monochromatic Madness
I chose classic black and white.
'The Secret Crafter' was Animal Antics, and for this i used 'hugs to share' one of the brand new range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps now available @ The Artistic Stamper and lastly 'Sketch Saturday'.
I'm still very much learning to colour with the black and gray copics.. but practice can only make you better so i keep on trying lol I've only just noticed but i managed to make this card with not one single patterned paper.. that has to be a first! Instead i used a piece of embossed textured card and lots of black soot distress ink!
Oh i see Papertake Weekly has the colour prompt Black -White + one.. and seeing as there is a tiny bit of green on my card i thought i'd enter that one too lol
{materials used: textured card, black soot distress ink, ek border punch, prima flowers, other flowers from my stash, black glitz brads, black lace, acrylic tag and label maker}

One little card...so many challenges!
...
Firstly i followed Donna's fab sketch over at Stamping for the Weekend #5, Pile It On has the prompt to use 3 different embellishments, then there is both Secret Crafter #39 which is to use 3 ribbons and Creative Card Crew #18 which also has ribbons as their prompt.
I managed to squeeze in some Hearts to fulfill the challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar #59 and last but by no means least Just Magnolia #12 has Charms as there prompt.
...
I had to make the card in a hurry as i was only told today it was needed for saturday! to be posted tomorrow!!!
but i got there in the end, and i don't think it came out half bad, in fact am rather quite chuffed with it lol
Thanks for coming to visit me, come back any time x

I decorated the top using cuttlebug embossed card, some prima flowers, ribbon and gems and the fab new "shine" miss Anya which i coloured with copics and atyou spicas.
I had so much fun making the first box, i though i'd make another but slightly smaller, i also found another great tutorial for a Box in a Bag {instructions here}
I think i may just be making a few more of these over the next few weeks!!
Thanks for stopping by... oh and BTW i would just like to thank and congratulate Wendy and her DT for being one of few challenge blogs's out there who's members always make the effort to come visit the people who have taken part in their challenges,

Double Whammy!
Today i managed to combine 2 challenges for this card
1.Secret Crafter #31 Brads or Eyelets..or both!
2.ICSketches #15
Seeing the shape immediately made me think of a fish tank, who knows why but it did, and as i had just received my new Greeting Farm stamp set "down by the pond" with the most fab fishy i though it would work perfectly.
What do you think?
I used a sheet of K&Co paper in the background to look like wallpaper, Used my Slice to cut the tank shape from some wood grain effect texture paper.
I placed a couple of sheets of blue vellum under the fishy to look like the water, adding eyelets as bubbles. Fishy was stamped with archival black and coloured using my distress re-inkers {working from a pallet and only a tiny drop of each, and some water}
I placed a piece of thick acetate over the whole tank for the glass effect, you can just make it out by the reflection of the flash in the photo, i attached this with some brass coloured big brads.
To finish i wrapped some leaf ribbon round some paper covered wire to be able to bend in place, stamped the greeting and cut it out and placed it on top of the ribbon, as per the sketch.
...
I wasn't sure about the card as i was making it but it all came together nicely!
Thanks for stopping by.. remember to post a comment so i know you've visited :O)

Secret Crafter #30
There's a blooming great theme this week over at the Secret Crafter
and it's been chosen by DT member {& my mate} Claire.
As its spring time Claire wanted a theme everyone could join in with, so if you haven't already guessed it, the theme this week is...
FLOWERS!
Any sort, any size, anywhere on your card!
I decided to make mine the main feature .
The bloom is one of several i removed from a giant fake flower i got in £1land
I coloured my gorjuss with copics in nice neutral colours, picking out slight highlight colours from the background basic grey and DCWV papers, which i also edge stitched with a white cotton. {practicing with my new hand held machine, hence the wonky lines lol}
I finished by adding half a prima flower to the centre bloom with again an accent coloured bling gem brad, and an "I'm Cute" brad to the bottom corner as it looked bare and empty.
Hope you like my card, thanks for visiting x

Secret Crafter #27
Well another day, and another challenge..
this time round its the Secret Crafter capturing my imagination.
Donna has provided not only a fab sketch but also a colour combo entitled "Chocolate Orange"
so here's the sketch..
and here's my creation...
I think i got a little carried away with my embellishing!
I'm loving the Miss Anya stamps but still not quite got the hang of colour or shading... i seriously need a master class or 3 lol, and a whole load more copic pens.
Anyway.. thanks for stopping by, feel free to comment, nice ones make my day :O)
