Project 365 #38 - fuzzy wedding card
Well it has been an interesting bit of a day to say the least. I came home from work to find Pepe's (my mom's dog that we borrow while she is basking in the warm glorious sun of Arizona and we are freezing our tooshies off here) bowl quite full...this is unusual as that dog can eat his body weight in a day while he is here....we started to scoop some of the food back into the container and noticed something odd....and in comes Emily. She felt that the dog didn't like his food plain and added a scoop of dried pizza chili flakes to it to "season" it for him...nice...sorry mom, but your dog has taken a liking to having his food flavoured now ;) . Yikes...at least he didn't eat any of it (or so we hope).
I made this card with a few challenges in mind...it wa one of those cards that never goes right no matter what you do. I used the felt fusion from Queen and Co. for my flourish...never again! Taking the backing off that stuff was like performing heart surgery! Two sets of tweezers, sticky fingers and 40 minutes later and it ended up in the wrong spot on the card after all was said and done. There was supposed to be a really pretty wedding dress on this card instead of the cake, but it just ended up covering up the felt once it ws in place...live and learn. Here are the challenges I did this for if you want to play along:
Order of the Opus Gluei #43 - Ruffles and Flourishes: http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/
Incy Wincy #31 - Touchy Feely: http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/
Res-Q Challenge Resq 33 - You are what you eat:http://resqchallenge.blogspot.com/
Lexi's creations challenge 8 - Anything goes: http://lexiscreations.blogspot.com/
Fab N Funky # 12 - black and white: http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/
Little Red Wagon #17 - black and white: http://lilredwagon.blogspot.com/
I used the cuttlebug cherry blossom embossing folder from the Asian bundle on satin paper for the back ground...it is so pretty
I just realized that my slippers may have been the inspiration for this card...or are they really my slipper? Has anyone seen that poor dog lately? He's been awful quiet tonight...
