Project 365 #46 - 3 Turtle cards

I just got this cute little turtle stamp yesterday and had to use her...she is just to cute . The ScrapYard in Stonewall had a sale on their Bellas yesterday, buy two get one free...So I picked up a couple...or should I say a few?? 15 to be exact...shhh, don't tell Gordie ;)...but anyway...needed a couple of girly birthday cards, so this is what I came up with...no challenges...just me.

Project 365 #45 - Photographic memory

I love sassy cards...the sassier the better...this one is quite tame, but sassy nonetheless....I did it for the following challenges: Raise the bar #7- three's company - three embellies, 3 papers, 3 brads: http://raisethebarchallenge.blogspot.com/ Sweet Sunday Sketch 58: http://kgiron.blogspot.com/ Stamptacular Sunday #48- Vintage: http://stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com/ CCEE 1008 - colours - ruby red, creamy caramel and black: http://cceestampers.blogspot.com/ Colour Create 39 - Red, black, off white: http://colourcreatechallenge.blogspot.com/ Thanks for looking...off to do some more....Sundays are fun

Project 365 # 44 - Teddy Bear card

We were in Stonewall yesterday and I saw this stamp set and just had to get it. There was a dilemma of course...this stamp was unmounted and too big for almost all of my acrylic blocks. I have 4 blocks set up with tack n' peel so that I can use all of those unmounted stamps without too much of a fuss, but this one exceeded those limits. This card is 5x8 and that stamp nearly fills it...yikes...oh well, out with the icky sticky ez-mount...not my fave but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to stamp...and that is what was done!. I am entering this card in the following challenges...play along too, they are lots of fun! Order of the Opus Gluei 44 - Language or culture not your own: http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential SSHP20 - Clean and simple: http://saturdayspotlight.blogspot.com/ Totally Gorjus 19 - Mother's day: http://www.totallygorjuss.blogspot.com/ Allsorts 41- Mother's day: http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ Frosted Designs - Handwriting: http://www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/ Quirky Crafts - cute: http://quirkycrafts.blogspot.com/ Rosie D's #65 - friendship: http://rosiedeeschallenge.blogspot.com/ Thanks for looking...hope you had an awesome weekend...it went by way too fast here!

Project 365 #43 - Going away card

I did this card as a going away card for one of the foreign exchange students that was staying with the girls' piano teacher. They are saying farewell to her tomorrow and wanted to give her a card.
It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the bird and leaves are super sparkly. I used the cuttlebug for the bamboo and then sanded it down a bit for some dimension...love that Asian bundle...I am entering it in the following challenges:
The colour throwdown 81- brown, pink/white and olive: http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 39 - Ribbon and sparkle: http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/
Cute Card Thursday - Ribbontastic 101: http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/
Pals Paper Arts inspiration challenge PPAC3: http://www.palspaperarts.com/

Project 365 #42 - Birthday Card for Katie

The girls are going to a birthday party for their friend Katie from dance...so we needed a card. This is what I came up with from a sketch from Clean and Simple FTL79 - birthday wishes: http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/ I am also posting it for Twisted Thursday with Shirley's 2 Girls for their birthday theme with pink (in case you can't tell from the pic - the back ground paper is super bright pink - it sort of looks orange or red in the picture??): http://s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/ and Pixie Dust Challenge 10 - birthday: http://pixieduststudiopixiechallenge.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #38 - fuzzy wedding card

Well it has been an interesting bit of a day to say the least. I came home from work to find Pepe's (my mom's dog that we borrow while she is basking in the warm glorious sun of Arizona and we are freezing our tooshies off here) bowl quite full...this is unusual as that dog can eat his body weight in a day while he is here....we started to scoop some of the food back into the container and noticed something odd....and in comes Emily. She felt that the dog didn't like his food plain and added a scoop of dried pizza chili flakes to it to "season" it for him...nice...sorry mom, but your dog has taken a liking to having his food flavoured now ;) . Yikes...at least he didn't eat any of it (or so we hope). I made this card with a few challenges in mind...it wa one of those cards that never goes right no matter what you do. I used the felt fusion from Queen and Co. for my flourish...never again! Taking the backing off that stuff was like performing heart surgery! Two sets of tweezers, sticky fingers and 40 minutes later and it ended up in the wrong spot on the card after all was said and done. There was supposed to be a really pretty wedding dress on this card instead of the cake, but it just ended up covering up the felt once it ws in place...live and learn. Here are the challenges I did this for if you want to play along: Order of the Opus Gluei #43 - Ruffles and Flourishes: http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ Incy Wincy #31 - Touchy Feely: http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ Res-Q Challenge Resq 33 - You are what you eat:http://resqchallenge.blogspot.com/ Lexi's creations challenge 8 - Anything goes: http://lexiscreations.blogspot.com/ Fab N Funky # 12 - black and white: http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/ Little Red Wagon #17 - black and white: http://lilredwagon.blogspot.com/ I used the cuttlebug cherry blossom embossing folder from the Asian bundle on satin paper for the back ground...it is so pretty I just realized that my slippers may have been the inspiration for this card...or are they really my slipper? Has anyone seen that poor dog lately? He's been awful quiet tonight...

Project 365 #37 - Butterfly Sympathy

Okay, so this one is a little more of a serious take on the challenge at 52-Card pickup. Just couldn't get into a sympathy card mood this morning while colouring monsters. Their challenge was for something to take a different perspective on. This is a different perspective than my monster card. You can find them here:

Project 365 #36 - Green monster

I was going to make this card for a challenge, and then I realized I didn't follow all of the directions...it was supposed to be in pink and black...ooops. Needed a good, grumpy birthday card anyway! I used the copics for the monster and cuttlebugged the backgrounds. But I did find a challenge that it would qualify for:
Cards for Men - challenge #4 : http://cardsformen.blogspot.com/

Project 365 #35 - Monotone Monster

Here is my little monster (had to buy this stamp in Stonewall last week) that I coloured in with the copic markers. I am not normally a monotone person for cards, but my daughter Lauren was looking in the markers and said "Mom, you never use purple in your cards - can I have these Copics if you aren't ever going to use them?" I laughed hysterically and started to use purple, so she doesn't try to secretly remove them from my stash...anyone who knows her, knows what I am talking about ;)
I am entering this card for three different challenges:
Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 57:http://kgiron.blogspot.com/
Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge 47 - use the cupcakes as inspiration - purple and buttons and a monster who would love to devour them! :http://hopestampseternal.blogspot.com/
52 Card Pick up - something from a different perspective - I think it would qualify with that saying:http://fifty-twocardpickup.blogspot.com/
Crafty Cardmakers - Analogous card :http://craftycardmakers.blogspot.com/
Thanks for looking...365 is still going strong - join in the challenge with me if you like!

Project 365 #34 - Penny Black Cat Card

I made this card for a couple of challenges today. What a good day for card making...two sick kids not wanting to leave the house...they stayed occupied with the TV most of the day, other than colouring in some images that I stamped out for them...they can't wait to get into the Copic markers! I made this card for the following challenges: Penny Black - Pink, Green and Yellow: http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Sketch Saturday #91:http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ Scrap, Stamp and Doodle Saturdays SSDS28 - Charm: http://ssdschallenge.blogspot.com/ Totally Gorjuss - Flowers: http://www.totallygorjuss.blogspot.com/ Cute Card Thursday - Metal Mania Challenge 100: http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ Feel free to leave a comment if you like what you see.

Project 365 #33 - Brown and pink monster card

okay, so I am totally addicted to these cute little monsters...just had to do another card. And when better to do this than with Gordie sleeping (*gasp*) and the girls vegged out in front of the tv for cartoons on a Saturday morning (*double gasp*). I found a bunch of challenges to do today through the Daily Dare. That is a cool little site. You can find it here: http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/ . I am entering this card in a number of the dares found on that site. Here goes: Saturday Spotlight SSHP19 - ink, tearing, wrinkling and all around making it messy - http://saturdayspotlight.blogspot.com/ Just Us Girls JUGS21 - colour challenge: raspberry, ivory, chocolate and coral: http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/ All Sorts Week 40 - tag, ticket or label: http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ Crazy 4 Challenges C4C25 - sketch: http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/ . Project 365 #32 - Jiminy Cricket Page

I did this page with two different challenges in mind. I thought I would combine them both and get another Disneyworld page completed while I am at it. I used my new Stampin'up Sweet Pea paper that I got at my party. Love it! The first challenge that I wanted to try is a sketch challenge at Creative Scrappers. You can find them here if you want to play too: http://www.creativescrappers.blogspot.com/ . The second one was for Mission Create 0010. That one has a few more details to add: Lace trim - check, Cardboard or Corrugated paper - Check, at least 5 hearts - there are 12 on my page, glimmer mist - in the bottom left corner (although it is hardly visible and just made my paper wrinkly...grrr...) and last but not least Turquoise - and check again...got all five in there. If you want to play along you can do so here: http://www.missiontocreate.blogspot.com/ . Thanks for looking!

Project 365 #31 - Cute monster card

I bought this stamp on Saturday and thought it was too cute not to use. I cuttlebugged the background and used my new nestabilities and new copic markers for the monsters...I know, I wasn't supposed to do the "new" thing, but how can one resist? Hope you like them...

Project 365 #30 - Asian Motivation 42

So, my mom inspired me to try out with the challenge from the Order of the Opus Gluei. The challenge is to make a card with an Asian Motivation. I hope I succeeded. I really like the card that she made. You can play along here if you like: http://opus-gluei.blogspot.com/ . Plus I just bought this stamp and thought it went so nicely with the cuttlebug asian bundle.
