Mireille- BasicGrey

My son was born on the 7th of April 2007 - 07/04/07 .. so because of that date my friends neatly pointed out after he was born that my child was a Boeing 747. I new I had to make an airplane layout for him one of these days.. now he is two and loves his airplanes so much.. that I thought this was the time.

Dream Big Fly High
by Mireille Divjak

SUPPLIES

PP: Basic Grey - Archaic Line ( *rusty, * dirty * time worn* primitive * rock * Bygone plaid * primal)

HOW TO
adhere the little houses to your patterned paper and cut with your x-acto knife. I used different types of patterned paper for the house itself and for the roofs. A small strip of paper for the windows. I sanded the edges and outlined everything with a black pen.
I cut the patterned paper clouds using the wishblade and an airplane using oval shapes in wordart and printing that directly onto the metallic cardstock. the offwhite clouds are made using wordart and the little birds are clipart drawings.
the cockpit was made of hard plastic comin from a Heidi Swapp package.
Cut it by hand and outlined it with a silver marker and the inner line is black pen.

Girls Only!

Although Mireille made this doorhanger for her daughter, it could easily be made into a gift for dear Mom. Create a "do not disturb" sign when some quiet time is needed. You can even make it for yourself to hang on your scrap room door to warn any unwanted visitors that they are about to disturb a creative flow. The options are endless!

HOW TO:
Paint the front and back of the doorhanger (3 shades of pink) by squeezing a dash of each paint onto the surface. Blend the colors with your fingers. Once the paint is dry, coat the hanger with Glitter Glaze. Cut circles from the patterned paper and layer them. This will serve as a mat for your photo. Place your photo and frame it with bling ovals. The letters were ran through a Xyron Create-a-Sticker to make them adhere. Outline the letters with a pen. Finish the project with different flowers. Embellish the top right flower with glitter, ribbon, a hatpin, and buttons. Use stickles to complete the look of your new doorhanger.
