Mireille- "Tex"

Tex
by Mireille Divjak

Supplylist:
Cardstock- Bazzill
Glimmer mist- Tattered Angels * Copper *old Lace* Iridescent gold * creme de cacoa * sapphire Glimmer mist Screens - Tattered Angels- Fancifull Stencils
Chipboard- Glimmer Chip- Tattered Angels
Glass: Glimmer Glass- Tattered Angels
Flowers- Prima Marketing Inc.
KI Lace Cardstock: Frosty lace Bloom
Pen: American Crafts
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey - Granola * Sunflower * Organic * gorp * chruncy
brads: Basic Grey Granola
Dimensional Pearls - Ranger

How to:
I sprayed a white piece of cardstock with a light color glimmer mist (creme de cacoa) If you spray up close to your paper you will get larger drops .. if you spray from a larger distance you will get a fine mist. I kept the edges of the paper "misted".. for the middle part where I would have my diagonal line of paper I took a paper towel and swiped over the (still wet) mist... this will give you more movement and an "even effect" . You could also choose to swipe the complete paper.
once the paper dried I put up the Stencils in the corner and sprayed again with a darker color.
I sprayed iridescent gold on the black paper flower to give it a nice shine, same with the patterned paper circles. Then made little dots with dimensional pearls.
I sprayed on the glimmer glass with the Copper spray.
The chipboard was sprayed in layers. The chipboard is almost white.. when you spray one layer it will give you a fine mist.If this is the effect you are looking for you are finished after this step. If you like rich colors you will need multiple layers. Let it dry inbetween layers (you can speed up the drying time with a heatgun) and add a second layer.. and/ or a third.. untill you get the effect you really like.
I started with the light color and kept adding darker colors.

Princess Castle
by Mireille Divjak

SUPPLIES
Album: Kaiser Craft - Fairy Castle
Cardstock: Chenille Cardstock- Doodlebug, bazzill
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce - Fairest of them all line * Be back by midnight *sweet Satin Ribbons *crowning Moment
Bling: Heidi Swapp and Imaginisce
Stickles: Ranger (fruit punch and Stardust)
Rubons: Dream come ture - Imaginisce / Narratives - Creative Imaginations
Glimmer mist - Tattered Angels
Stamps: Imaginisce - Fairest of them all ; catslife press
Pencils: Colorsoft Derwent
pen : american Craft
ink: Stazon
Flowers and brads: Imaginisce
chipboard figures: Imaginisce
Bind It All
Figure Scissors- fiskars

HOW TO
It's very important that you trace all that you need to trace on the backside of your patterned paper before you start adhering.
The scallop border for example is used on every page but is actually only completely visible on the second page of your album.
same goes for the towers on the last page of your album, you will need to trace those on the third place of your album.
I put the bare wood album pages in the bind it all to punch holes befóre adhering my paper to it.
then I cut out the paper and put the bottom parts in the bind it all to punch holes..
then I adhered the paper to the wooden pages.
If you adhere first and then try to punch holes it will be too thick to go through.

I traced the towers, the scalloped borders and the outlinings on the windows on the chenille cardstock. Then I used the patterned paper for the towers and the building.
I outlined everything with stickles. Added bling at the bottom line of the towers and the scalloped borders
I used white bazzill for journaling and sprayed it with glimmer mist.
I stamped on white bazzill and colored it with derwent colorsoft.
I outlined my pictures and journaling with an american crafts pen.
on the bottom of every page are Imaginisce rubons.
I used the flowers and chipboard for decoration. Decorate as you like.

Emma- TATTERED ANGELS

Today Emma shows us how she utilized Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist. The first layout she used it like watercolor paint! The second she uses a heat tool on it to give it a different effect.

The funkiest bike in the city
by Emma Trout

SUPPLIES
Glimmer Mist: Cinnamon, Red Velvet, Key Lime Pie, Turquoise Blue, Pearl, Iridescent Gold
Bazzill (white)
Patterned papers: Scenic Route- Surprise, Skyview Drive
Creative Imaginations Teal notebook
Hambly, Chandelier (Teal on copper)
Overlay: Hambly, Mini graph (pink and black)
Watercolour paper
Pearls and Gems: Kaisercraft and other.
Stickers and alphas: Making Memories, Doodlebug, 7 Gypsies, Scenic Route, and American Crafts.
Flowers: Prima and handmade.
HOW TO
As glimmer mists are water based you can use them as watercolour paints to make your own background paper and embellishments.
Using them straight from the bottle without shaking to mix beforehand gives you a more translucent colour. You are then able to ‘dig’ to the bottom of the bottle to reach the stronger pigment and pearls.
Mixing the pigment by shaking the bottle will give you an even colour with shimmer when applied directly to watercolour paper.
I used water to dampen a rectangle of watercolour paper and added ‘Key Lime pie’ and ‘Turquoise blue’ with a brush, blending the colours as I applied. When dry, I sprayed the colours directly onto the paper to add more colour and left to dry.
Cut flowers from watercolour paper dampen with water then paint glimmer mists on using a fine brush. When dry, spray with ‘Pearl’ and/or ‘Iridescent gold ‘glimmer mist. Add doodling and gems or pearls to finish. Repeat this process to make the leaves, circles and swirls.
Spray ‘Key Lime Pie’ and ‘Turquoise Blue’ directly onto the corner of Bazzill cardstock. When dry, add Hambly overlay to top left corner.
Matt the rectangle of watercolour paper you have used as a background paper onto back cardstock and add to layout. Add black graph overlay, photo and patterned papers. Decorate with flowers (the watercolour flowers and primas sprayed with glimmer mists), leaves and swirls. Glue chandelier, ribbons, small sections of pink grid and stickers into position.
Finish with journaling and title. I spayed the chipboard with Glimmer Mists also.

Santatude

SUPPLIES
Glimmer mist: Iridescent gold, Pearl, Silver Bells.
Bazzill cardstock
Patterned papers: Teresa Collins- Damask, Stationery
‘Tis the season, Gift Tags
Basic Grey- Figgy Pudding: Wonderful, Toasty and stickers
October Afternoon- Falling Snow
Making Memories- 5th Avenue
American crafts Thickers.
Rub-ons- Heidi Swapp, Doodlebug, and Luxe Designs
Making Memories tiny alpha stickers white
Fancy Pants ‘In my words’ stamps
Stix 2 Anything silver foil and PVA
American Crafts ribbon.
Tim Holtz grungeboard
Ranger distress ink
Other:
Red glitter and silver embossing powder, foil snowflakes, pom pom trim.

HOW TO
Brush pva around the edge of the cardstock and when tacky use silver foil. When dry, stamp and emboss with silver using the Fancy Pants corner stamp.
Add a rectangle of patterned paper across the centre of the layout. Trim with October afternoon paper and ribbon and pom-pom trim. Sponge white acrylic paint in the centre of the layout and whilst still wet, spray with Glimmer Mist and heat with a heat gun. If you heat it ‘closely and quickly’ the paint will bubble leaving a ‘snowy effect’.
Stamp journaling stamp to the left of rectangle. Cut damask shapes from patterned paper and arrange around the photo to form a frame.
Cut out the centre of a gift tag and glue onto patterned paper. Add a poinsettia, holly leaves, ‘damask leaves’, bauble sticker and twig. Spray with pearl and gold Glimmer Mists. Glue to layout.
Heat emboss Thickers with red powder. When dry, spray with gold Glimmer Mist (it will settle in the bumps).
Apply white rub-ons to white cardstock then spray over with Glimmer mist (silver and pearl). Whilst wet, wipe the glimmer mist from the rub-ons so they ‘pop out’.
Apply two colours of distress ink to the grungeboard and ‘mix the colours’ using glimmer mist (I used Pearl). Add to layout fixing with brads and finish with rub-ons and Damask leaves.
Finish by adding the rest of the title and journaling.

Mireille- TATTERED ANGELS

Today's mini album from Mireille combines a few different techniques using Glimmer Mist. Please read her how to to find out more!

Summer Memories
by Mireille Divjak

SUPPLIES
Album: Kaisercraft Scallop planner
Glimmer mist: Tattered Angels * Pink Bubblegum * Fully Purple
Flowers: Prima Marketing Inc.
Ribbon: Lace from stack
Glimmer Glass: Tattered Angels
Glimmer chips: Tattered Angels
Stickers: 7 gypsies & Adorn it, Carolee's creations
Dimensional Pearls: Ranger
Jewel Brads: Royal jewels Imaginisce
Bling Brads: Fairy Dust Brads - Imaginisce
Paper Lace: Creative Imaginations
Paper Frills: Doodlebug
Pen: American Crafts
Glossy Accents : Ranger

HOW TO
Spray the pink glimmer mist on the wood pages. Let dry. Use your stencils then spray the purple glimmer mist over the pages.
The chipboard pieces are sprayed with both pink and purple glimmermist. So are the paperfrills and the white paper flowers.
Then your craftsheet will be filled with glimmermist. I used it all by dragging my white ribbon through it. Now I have ribbon in matching colors.
For the glimmer glass I sprayed both pink and purple glimmer mist in a glass bowl. I used my heatgun to make the water disappear. Now you will be left with the glimmer pigment.
Mix it with glossy accents and paint it onto the backside of the glass.
I used it on my pages sometimes with the correct side up and sometimes just the backside.. just how I thought it looked better.
Decorate to your own liking.

According to the Tattered Angels website: "Glimmer Mist, a Tattered Angels original product, is a quick and easy spray that delivers just a touch of glimmer in a fine mist to make all of your projects shine. Glimmer Mist puts an end to messy, clumpy, and time consuming conventional glitters with over 50 colors to choose from so finding the right one for your project is easy. Glimmer Mist was made by a scrapbooker with the scrapbooker in mind and is water-based, archival safe, acid-free, and non-toxic. Glimmer Mist is safe for and adheres to all types of materials including paper, acrylic, metal, and fabric."

Lucy starts us off with a fun project using some of their Stencils along side the Glimmer Mist.

IRL
by Luciane Folch
Using the Glimmer Mist to create a background for your projects is really easy. On this layout I placed some of the Fanciful Stencils on my cardstock and then sprayed the mist on it. Let it dry and then with a fine sharpie, outline all the swrils twice. Then you can just play with your layout as you usually do. Have fun!
