Oh yes - tis a scrapbook page!

Scrapbook I love looking at good scrapbook pages. Sadly, mine are not that good and I am always a bit wary of sharing them!

Well today I have decided that I must do more scrapbooking .... mainly due to looking at all the fab pages on UKScrappers!

If I am to improve then I really do need to practice and I would really appreciate any advice that any of you could give me!

I started this page ages ago. I have twice thought it finished, then gone back and added more. Today I added the fabulous blooms and now  - for the third time I really really think [hope] it is finished.

The gorgeous girlie in the picture is my baby! Please do let me know what you think! The flash reflection on her neck is all my doing :0)) - it is not on the original page!

A is for ...... At last!

Alphascrap1

A long time ago, before the motor car and colours TV's ..... well last Christmas actually .... I made a pact with a friend that in January we would start an alphabet journal. We would do a letter every two weeks and we would base it on a craft techniques and materials theme. Well, my friend started hers in January ..... I think I may have started one version then ..... I can't actually remember. Anyways after 100's of book changes, colour changes and room tidies I have now actually made my A page.

Alphascrap2 My page was completely inspired by Tim Holtz's alphabet tile paper ..... in fact I started the page with his "A" but it did n't look right with the Addison paper.

I have also made the page on foam board ..... like what Tim does too and I followed his DVD to make cut outs so my dominoes are flush with the page and I also have a shaker in there.Alphascrap3

I am soooooooooo pleased with myself ...... Now I need to start on the letter B [hopefully that won't take another 6 months!]

Mother's Day!

This week's challenge on the Funky Fairy Blog is to make a card, LO etc., using a photograph and some text. Well I made these scrapbook pages a while ago but thought that as it is Mother's Day this Sunday, I would share them.

These two gorgeous children are what make my Mother's Days so special. Both LO's include photographs and text so I think they qualify.

All the papers and the elements were included in the Srapagogo monthly kits and I may have even lifted the layout of one of them from there too.

They are both grown-ups now at 20 and 21, I am looking forward to a nice lunch out with them both on Sunday.

This scrapbooking layout was set as a challenge by a very dear friend of mine on the Craftswap forum. The challenge rules were to design a layout based on the title of a film .... include something red and use peel-offs in your layout. Well I managed to achieve all three and I really hopes she likes my interpretation of her challenge.

I was lucky because this challenge also fills the requirements for the challenge on Just Bex forum too so I have killed two birds with one stone so to speak.

I am not entirely sure that much of my layout design is original. I used the June Scrapagogo kit and I have more than likely scrap lifted the layout from them too!

Anyways I had a couple of beautiful Black and White piccies of darling daughter so I made it a double page layout.
