This and That!

Catching up on Facebook last night ... as you do ... I found myself tagged in a few piccies and decided to share this one with you ...

There we were sat eating our lunch at the Paper and Co Show ... when Celine passed around the moustache's for the main event photo! Sadly I could n't find mine and had to improvise ... but I rather like this picture of Natalie, Erin, Vikki and myself ... which is a rare event in itself ... me liking the picture .... not Natalie with a moustache :0) ... perhaps it is because half my face is hidden behind a rather delicious semi eaten pear :0)

Well that was the That ... now for the This. The time has arrived ... it is officially Christmas ... and the reason I know this is because Lord Tim of Holtz has begun his 12 Tags of Christmas. You know Tim ... the man that organises the elves at the North Pole ready for the big day while composing multi lingual Christmas Carols with just an "r" from a tape runner and a sprinkling of perfect pearls.

I have decided that this year I will ... of course be taking part with the composition of all the tag elements ... however instead of spending day 13 in a Timmy Tagless depression ... I will indeed use all of the elements to make a larger home decor piece. Until I have seen all 12 tags I have no clue what I will end up with ... but I find the whole prospect very exciting!

Here are my bits from Day One ... I had to improvise ... no white fluffy doodah here ... so I used white enamel accents sprinkled with fine glitter for my snow ... I did n't have any mini tinsel stuff either ... so I made my Christmas Wreath with Grunge paper and the Regal Crest Die .... yes I know it looks nothing like Holly ... but if you screw yours eyes up and tilt your head to the left ... well it sort of does!

I need to get on ... I have a gazillion things to do ... oh and check out Tag Two ... I have been meaning to make a customised Ink pad for the last 100 years ... and get this ... today is definitely the day ...

That is That Then!

I know ... I Know ... I have failed on the whole blog every day in September mission! But I do have an excuse! No ... The dog did n't eat my posts ... I was struck down by half a sore throat! It all started Friday ... just a bit sore when I swallowed down one side ... by Saturday ... the gland came up on the same side ... but I soldiered on ... by Sunday ... I was well and truly laid up and all I could do was sleep ... yesterday was the same ... but today I appear to be on the mend ... So ... Who missed me???

You can tell I am better because I am back in my craft room ... I am sure I did n't leave it in this mess ... but Hey Ho!

So nothing new to share with you today ... this is a Beer Mat I did a couple of weeks ago ... I say nothing new ... you won't have seen it before ... unless you are the culprit that snuck in and untidied my craft room :0)

Righty Ho ... I must away ... I have a head full of ideas and Crafting withdrawal symptoms ...

Playing Tag!

Well ... here we go ... Day two of my "Blog every day in September" regime!

Mind you ... I set out with the intention of blogging every day in August and look what happened there!

For the last few days I have been playing with Tags and Lord Tim of Holtz Stamps ... you know Tim ... the man that can travel through time while balancing on the edge of a feather with just a 1" length of Tissue Tape and a Dab of Gold Acrylic Dabber!

You can see I am still in my Aged Mahogany ... Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade phase ... to be honest ... I can't see that ending any time soon!

So ... Why have I been playing tag? ... well I may have mentioned once or twice that I am going to  Paris in November to teach at the Paper and Co  Show ... I shall be teaching three different workshops ... one of which is Playing Tag with embellishments ... so basically ... these are sneak peeks of what I may or may not do in that particular class.

Talking of workshops ... the autumn season of workshops at LB Crafts go on sale this Saturday ... so if you are planning on coming along to make sure you get the classes you want ... well I shall see you there :0)

Oh Blimey ... I nearly forgot ... I have a Pingate update ... that will have to wait for the third day of September now ...

Where is that Friday Feeling?

I have been a busy bee today ... working on my product list for The Paper and Co show in Buthiers in November!

I still can't quite believe that they have asked me to teach there ... sooooooo exciting!

So which of you lovely bloggy people are coming ... nice trip to Paris in November ... a weekend of paper crafting ... all the lovely sites ... romantic places ... it will be mine and John's 11th anniversary while I am there ... What a shame he is n't invited :0)

So ... the piccies today are sneaky peeks of one of the three two hour workshops that I will be doing ... Making Mini Memories ... as soon as I have had the nod from the organisers and sponsors ... well ... I will share the completed project with you!

All of these sneaky peeks include some Ranger product or ... some Lord Tim of Holtz product ...  you know Tim ... the man that can speak to beings from an entirely different solar system while roller skating across the Grand Canyon with just an adage ticket and an elegant flourish!

Anyways ... let's get back to the title of this post ... I am sadly lacking in the whole Friday Feeling department today ... so much so ... I keep thinking it is Thursday ... Is it just me? Or does it feel like Thursday today to you as well?

I Wish it Could Be ...

... Christmas every day!

Actually it can be!

Look at my lovely ladies from the Christmas Screen Class last Wednesday in their Cracker hats. We had a great time in Olney ... even in the heat ... without any snow! And I even got a Christmas present from the lovely Jenny.

We had technical trouble with the Christmas music ... erm ... technically ... I forgot it :0) Having said that ... all was not lost ... we used CD's to draw around for the shape of the screen and luckily enough one of them had a rather bizarre Christmas selection on it ... better than nothing though and it all added to the Christmas spirit! And if you are wondering what else I have been up to ... well ... drum roll please ...

I have been planning a trip to Paris!!!

The lovely Celine ... you know Celine ... one of my Ranger U table buddies ... well she has invited me to go and teach at a Scrap retreat just outside Paris in November! The Paper & Co Show.

So Bon and ooh la la ... I shall be brushing up on my French ... actually ... I don't need to ... luckily they provide an interpreter ... or things could have been ... well ... erm ... interesting ... all I can remember from my French O Level days is in fact ... la regler est sur la table and l'oiseau est dans la jardin ... oh and I can place Marie-Claude pretty much anywhere around the house ... but something tells me that is not going to be a whole lot of use!
