I am on a mission today ... to tidy up the room with no floor or desk space formerly known as my Craftroom! No search parties necessary ... I may be some time!

Morning all! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... a word! My word is play! And Play I did!
To make my little book ... I played with THE Wendy Vecchi's studio 490 Art Parts ... both the small creative covers and the bottles and borders packs! I played with lot's of Wendy's delicious new stamps too! I think you may call my design half a book lift ... because the bottom half is the design on the packaging ... Wendy always has the bestest ideas on her packaging ... and if you are stuck ... like I was ... it is a great place to begin!
Then I played with Lord Tim's new large ring binders ... you know Tim ... the man that can walk barefooted across hot coals while balancing 26 small children on his head with just a Wild Honey Distress Stain and two long legged brads!
Not having played enough at this point ... I also played with Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas and lots of Ranger inks, Distress stains and card!
It's not all play for me today though ... Oh No! ... I am off to teach two workshops in Olney ... I know that sounds like playing and not working ... but ... erm ... actually ... it is a lot like playing too :0)
Righty-ho then ... pick a word ... any word and get creating ... you could win a $50 shopping spree at the Simon Says Stamp online store!

It has dawned on me that I am going to sound like a right snooty wotsit when I tell you that I don't "do" left-overs! I can't help it! If I could I would ... it drives John to distraction ... but I just can't!
It is probably best if I explain here what I consider to be a left-over! Okay ... so you open a packet of ham ... use a slice ... put the remaining ham back in the fridge ... the ham in the fridge is now left-overs ... and I won't eat it! Don't look at me like that! I know it's bad! I know people are starving! I just can't help it!
Sometimes I would love to revisit a plateful of Chinese takeaway that I could n't eat at the first sitting ... but the truth is ... as soon as it goes cold ... well it's left-overs ... and I cannot bring myself to eat it!
What a waste? I hear you cry ... and you are absolutely right ... but I just cannot help it! Having said all that ... Chocolate is never left-over and can always be returned to!
Okay ... so now I shall get to the point ... the point is ... this piece is made entirely of left overs ... the left over embossed card stock from my Valentine box ... left over brads from my journal box ... left over Grunge paper from my class kits ... even the frame was half painted and discarded ... the god of left overs would be right chuffed with me today ... I can tell you!
If you are wondering about the lush colours ... well they are Lord Tim of Holtz Adirondack Color washes ... you know Tim ... the man that turn the sea from salt water into chocolate while transforming the clouds into Candy Floss with just a new Mini Mister bottle and a single Idea-ology Foliage element!
Course I would n't be able to swim in the chocolate Sea ... or indeed eat it ... because someone else would have touched it first ... and that is a whole nother issue!

The weekend sure did fly by! I spent a lovely day with a great group of ladies at LB Crafts on Saturday doing the last of my Alcohol Ink Masterclasses ... then on Sunday I went back for another day doing ...
actually I cannot tell you that ... if I tell you I would have to kill you ... which would be a real feat in itself ... because as soon as the words left my lips ... or indeed my fingers ... either the wonderful Lin or Leandra would indeed kill me first!
Anyways ... the weekend has been and gone ... and a new week means a new theme over at Simon Says Stamp and Show. The theme this week is Polka Dots ... LOVE that word ... it's a good word to say out loud ... go on ... try it :0)
The prize this week is indeed another $25.00 shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp ...
This week I decided to decorate a hinged frame ... after I had smothered it in THE Wendy Vecchi Polka Dots ... I got a bit carried away with the Grungepaper flowers ... so added a few more dotty butterflies for good measure. Every iddy biddy bit of stamping is done with THE Wendy Vecchi stamps ... all of the embellishments are Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that can balance 481 plates on a pencil on his head while doing an Irish jig with just a tiny attacher and a blade protector from a pair of Tonic Studio Scissors. If you tilt your head to the right and squint your eyes ... you should be able to see some Ranger Black Enamel Accents too.
I must away ... I need to go buy a wheeled trolley bag wotsit ... I may be some time!

I dunno ... that Christmas malarkey does n't last nearly long enough for the amount of effort we all put in ... here we are on the 3rd of January and before you know it ... well ... we will be into double figures.
Not that I am complaining you understand ... only 20 some odd sleeps and I will be at CHA with THE Wendy Vecchi and Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that can move the planets with just a tap of a pokey tool and a single dot from a bottle of Ranger Black Enamel Accents. Of course the wonderful Lin will be there too :0)
I shall do me best to make sure you guys get to see what we see while we are there ... I say that ... I am not sure if there is some secret handshake thingy wotsit that prevents you from spilling the beans ... but have no fear ... if there is ... I shall just make it up :0)
Course ... after CHA ... it will be Stitches ... then ArtsyCrafts ... you know the one ... be still my beating heart!
The frame in the piccies started life as one of those Ikea cheapo jobbies and I have altered it using THE Wendy Vecchi Stamps and Grungepaper ... oh and some Graphic 45 Botanicabella paper ... the theme over at Simon Says Stamp and Show is Stamp and show your newest stamp ... please join us ... and don't say you don't have any new stamps ... even if Santa did n't bring any ... and you have n't been shopping for an age ... I am guessing that most of you will have a new and unused stamp somewhere ... or is that just me :0) The lovely site sponsor ... Simon Says Stamp ... is giving away another delicious $25 to spend on stash!
Okay ... that's me ... take care all ....

Many moons ago ... in a land ... not far from here ... I used to be a regular blogger :0) Then lawdy only knows what happened ... but I stopped blogging altogether ... mainly because I could think of nothing to say ... and worse still ... I could n't think of anything to make either!
Hopefully ... all that is behind me now! I spent a fabulous day on Saturday ... seated next to the Lovely Karen ... and the successful recipe for rebooting my Mojo was indeed one of the Wonderful Lin's journalling classes. I have been unable to leave my journal for little more than a few minutes at a time since ... I am enjoying it that much! I have discovered that 'my thing' when it comes to journalling is working on lots of different pages at the same time ... I am loving it!
So what is the little house all about then??? I hear you ask! Well ... this is my DT submission for Simon Says Stamp and Show this week ... the theme this week ...is indeed Distress Inks ... once again sponsored by the Simon Says Stamp team ... do join in if you can!
My house is coloured solely with Lord Tim of Holtz Distress Inks ... you know Tim ... the man that can create the prettiest of frosts while playing the harp with his feet with just a finger tip full of Rock Candy Stickles and the cap from a Ranger Inkssentials White Gel pen! If you are in any doubt who the stamps are by ... I can confirm they all are THE Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 designs ... don't you just LOVE those distressed lines?
I must away ... big week for me ... am off to Paris ... oh yes people ... Pareeeeee ... in ...erm ... France ... I am TRES excited ...

I know ... I know ... I gave it all the ... look how good I am blogging every day in November malarkey and then ... vanished without so much as a bye or leave ... no warning ... just gone! Now I guess I should tell you all where I have been ... you know like offer some sort of explanation ... and the truth is ... I have n't been any where!
In my defence ... I have been like a bear with a sore head ... all snappy and miserable ... so you guys are really quite lucky you did n't have to put up with me. John ... bless him ... bore the brunt of it! Now if you have put two and two together and made four ... you will now have guessed that D Day finally arrived and at midnight on the 09.11.10 I quit the evil weed ... I am now a smoke free zone. I aint gonna pretend it has been easy ... or that I am through the worst ... the whole drug replacement wotsit has n't really helped and I have eaten every waking minute since 12.01am on 10.11.10 ... and probably my entire body weight in Wine Gums ... so pretty soon I shall be the size of a house ... But my skin will look younger ... so that's Ok then :0)
Now to the beer mat in the piccie ... Simon Says Stamp and Show this week is ... Show anything that makes you happy ... so I used all my favourites on this altered Beer Mat. I hope you get chance to join us this week.
Hopefully I won't leave it quite so long between posts next time :0)

You know when you see something ... and you immediately know exactly what you are going to do with it ... well that is how I felt about Lord Tim of Holtz's Branch Tree Die.
You know Tim ... the man that can single handedly save the rain forest in his lunch break while regenerating the Tiger population with just a scrap of Grungeboard and a squirt of alcohol ink.
Anyways ... back to my family tree ... I say my ... we are not actually a well photographed family so I have had to pinch the piccies from Lord Tim of Holtz's Lost and Found stack. I am planning on a Halloween version ... which to be fair ... is more likely to resemble some of my family ... But don't tell them I said that :0)
The frame is one of The Wendy Vecchi's Art Parts ... the Fence is one of Lord Tim's new dies and the stamps are all The Wendy Vecchi of course.
The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show is Anything But Not a Card this week ... and there is another shopping spree to be won ... so what are you waiting for ... Go!
Actually ... don't go quite yet ... leave little ole me a comment first ... does n't have to be long ... relevant ... or even polite ... I just like to know you have been :0)
Have a good week y'all

Blimey ... it feels like ages since I have sat down and chatted with you guys ... Oh yeah ... that is because it is!
Where have I been? Nowhere really ... on Friday an Iphone4 fell into my shopping basket and I spent most of the day skipping around in excitement! On Saturday by 9am the said phone had arrived ... I ripped open the box like a small child ... and that is where the saga began!
First thing you have to do is register the Sim ... the website wants 14 digits and I only have 12! After 4 phone calls to T-Mobile Customer Service ... and one to the T-Mobile shop ... and 2.5 hours ... I am finally advised that a) they have given me a new phone number and should n't have done and b) my Sim is faulty. I gets in the car ... sit in an hour long traffic jam ... you aint gonna believe this ... the guy in the shop won't replace the Sim ... I have to buy a new one!!!! I ask him to test it before I go home ... he says he can't ... I have to go to the Apple shop. He also tells me if I want to keep my old number I have to buy a Sim from another provider ... pay 25 quid to have my number ported to that supplier and then port it back a day later ... for ... get this ... another 25 quid!!!
At this point I had fallen out of love with my new toy and close to tears of frustration I walk down to the Apple shop! There I meet Leo ... what a sweetie he was ... got me all set up ... listened to my tail of woe ... empathised ... then showed me how to use all the little gadgets! I wish the mobile phone world was full of Leos!
Anyways ... guess who will be getting a letter of complaint this morning!
Talking of this morning ... there is indeed a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog this morning ... with a very lovely prize donated by Simon Says Stamp. Talking of very lovely ... I had a very lovely time making this piece ... I hope you all have a good week ... Anyone going to Ally Pally?

I know ... I Know ... I have failed on the whole blog every day in September mission! But I do have an excuse! No ... The dog did n't eat my posts ... I was struck down by half a sore throat! It all started Friday ... just a bit sore when I swallowed down one side ... by Saturday ... the gland came up on the same side ... but I soldiered on ... by Sunday ... I was well and truly laid up and all I could do was sleep ... yesterday was the same ... but today I appear to be on the mend ... So ... Who missed me???
You can tell I am better because I am back in my craft room ... I am sure I did n't leave it in this mess ... but Hey Ho!
So nothing new to share with you today ... this is a Beer Mat I did a couple of weeks ago ... I say nothing new ... you won't have seen it before ... unless you are the culprit that snuck in and untidied my craft room :0)
Righty Ho ... I must away ... I have a head full of ideas and Crafting withdrawal symptoms ...

Many moons ago ... I shared the whole Pingate saga with Blogland!
For those of you that missed it ... here are the edited highlights! I asked John to put some hooks up on my Craft room walls and three minutes later ... he still had n't ... so I went the whole whacking pins in route myself! Now you need to know that John is an engineer ... when we first met he was amazed by my Laurence Llewellyn Bowen sponge painted terracotta Kitchen ... dismissive of my flat packed desk that wobbled slightly because I had constructed it with a kitchen knife and a rolling pin and shall we say a bit ... well ... rude to be honest ... about my wall hangings that had been hanged with the heel of a shoe and a nail! Nope ever since we started co-habiting ... the pristine walls in this house ... have to be measured ... sprit levelled and only hung with the correct picture hook etc., ... now you can see where I am going!
Anyways ... after asking and then waiting at least ... well ... erm three minutes without John even making out he was moving in the direction of his tool box ... well ... I took the whole wall hanging matter into my own hands ... placing tacks in the walls ... so the art would hang level ... not so the tacks were level.
Call it guilt ... self preservation ... call it what you will ... but I spent many a month cutting John off on the stairs up to my attic craft room ... it was an age until my bulb blew and he finally made it over the threshold. I know he looked right at the wall hangings ... you know I mean beer mats etc.,? ... did n't mutter a word. I was smugger than smug and a tad relieved ... as much as I like to plague and tease the life out of John ... I don't like to submit him to real stress ... you know the fixed jaw ... vein pulsing in the neck kind!
I then reported the anti climax to Blog land ... announced that the whole Pingate saga was in fact a damp squid and he really did n't mind! I told all of my friends ... feeling suitably impressed I was ... thought I had finally tamed the engineer that resides in John. So when I heard him climbing the stairs to my craft room to invite me out for a drink last Saturday night ... I did n't move from my spot ... safe in the knowledge that he was happy with the pins. How wrong can you be?
He glanced around him and then said "What have you stuck in the walls?" "Pins" I says ... "They have been there ages!" "But they are not even straight!" he says. "The pins are n't!" I replied ... but the stuff that was hanging from them was!" "But that is n't even straight!" "Well ... it's not now John ... because I have swapped it about ... but it was when I put it up!" At this point I got the giggles ... Pingate came rushing back and I blurted out the whole Pingate saga on the blog thing ... he did not look impressed but the more unimpressed he looked ... the funnier I found the situation. The tears were running down my cheeks and even now as I type I have to suppress my desire to laugh out loud! Those of you that warned me that that was definitely not the last of the matter were indeed correct and I bow to your superior knowledge!
Todays offering is indeed another hangy beer mat chip thing ... destined for a wonky pin on my craft room wall ... coloured with the usual Distress Ink colours and adorned with Lord Tim of Holtz stamps and Grungepaper ... you know Tim ... the man that could have thrown the pins at the wall in a straight line while standing on tippy toes and stroking the moon with just a small piece of ball chain and a paper piercing tool!
Have a lovely weekend y'all and Happy Labour Day weekend to all my U.S buddies.

Okay ... yeah I know ... it was pretty obvious ... and yes it was me! The theme over at Simon Says Stamp and Show this week is indeed Stamp and Show your ... THE Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 style! Now before you start groaning and saying you can't take part ... trust me ... you can ... half of the DT did n't have a Wendy Stamp to their name and NO ... I was n't sharing mine :0) ... so they managed with just what they had in their stash ... please go look ... it truly is quite amazing!
Thank you to all you lovely people that joined in last week ... you did me proud everyone and I am truly very grateful!
We have another fabulous prize this week donated by Simon Says Stamp and don't forget that much sought after top three blinkie!
I totally indulged myself with this challenge too ... I took inspiration from The Wendy Vecchi's Stamp Binder covers and made my own ... Not a Distress Ink in sight!!! Oh no ... and don't Adirondack inks work a treat on the Grungepaper. The backing paper is Retro Grunge from Lord Tim of Holtz ... you know Tim ... the man that can sleep on a cloud while playing the harp along side the other angels with just a Watermark Resist Pad and a Inkssentials gel pen ... in white of course!
So ... tell me ... what sort of week do you have lined up??? I am off for a weekend away to Sunny Hunny ... looking forward to that I can tell you ... it's been ages since I have had hot doughnuts by the Sea!
Oh ... and I did n't come back with me shopping yesterday ... because apart from a few spacer beads I bought exactly ... erm ... zilch!
Have a good one people ... laters!
