Groovin' along

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I actually have a post with pics!
Feeling pleased with myself I have to say as technology isn't at the top of my list of abilities. :)

I've been having a wee play with my Groovi plates and trying the embossing and piercing elements on the diagonal grid plate.
This is a very simple card but every little helps and my next big hurdle is trying to pierce a design and actually cut it into a decorative piece. One step at a time methinks!

I also used one of the Poppy plates and the landscape plate that comes with the starter kit.
I really enjoyed trying to colour it in and I've used Promarkers and Prisma pencils for this design.

You will notice the odd parchment that I have used. I have tons of this in my stash so I'm using it to practice on before I commit anything to my 'good' stuff. This has a wavy grey pattern running through it so does tend to affect the finished look.

I dearly wanted to try piercing and cutting the centre white border but I didn't want to ruin the piece after all the colouring. My sky isn't perfect as I overdid the sunshine but it's a start and I'm pleased with it so far.

So it's onwards and upwards as they say.
I hope you have a super day whatever your plans and thank you for calling in and keeping me company. xxx
