Hello and welcome to the blog today.
I have wanted to do a sunflower themed blanket for a while now and found a lovely tut from 'Hooked by Robin' on You Tube for the basic square. I added a green border and set about making lots of them - 35 to be precise.
At first I was going to just stick to the squares which would have meant a lot more of them but I wanted to break them up a little so added a granny stitch border between the strips of squares.
I posted the initial look to my fav crochet page on FB and got the thumbs up so I stuck at it.
I wanted to make a lap blanket so it's not too big 35 x 40 including border.
I used a variety of yarns Emu Classic DK in Ivy and Pumpkin; Deramore's Studio DK in Pearl and Chocolate and Deramore's Studio Special DK in Yellow.
Close up of the border and stripe detail.
Hope you enjoy this one today and the sunflowers have done their job in bringing a wee bit of sunshine and a smile.
Have a good one.
Every blessing,
