I love you this much

Good morning guys and gals, I hope this morning sees you up and raring to go!
I'm continuing on with my purchases from Sassy Cheryl and this is one wee lady I adore. There is a boy version too and I might just be tempted to nip back and secure him before he's gone. :)

I found out yesterday that I had been chosen in the top 5 Passion for Promarkers challenge 153 yipee!!
I enter so few challenges that it was a real lift to my spirits. Later on I checked and found that I had come in the top 3 on the Saturated Canary #19 challenge. You could have knocked me down with a feather!!
BUT.... let this be a dire warning ..... I forgot to read the rules and entered twice thereby breaking said rules. I let the girls know about my mistake and I can't accept the accolade but I was still thrilled to bits to be chosen. It will teach me to read the rules in future before I enter a challenge! Ah well, it was fab whilst it lasted. :)

Hope you have enjoyed today's post. Have a super day and I'll catch up with you soon!

A Special Gift

Hi, good morning and welcome to the blog today. A great big HELLO to my new followers. I am thrilled to have your company and thank you for taking the time to pop in. I hope you see something you like. :)
Today's card features one of the new LOTV releases called 'A Special gift'. I got this little beauty when I was over at the SECC. I only wish I'd picked up a few more they are such a delight to work with and colour in.
I've gone a bit overboard with the flowers. I normally don't add them to two corners but the top one looked a wee bit bare without them.
I've used the very last of my Memory Box 'Minuet' papers. I just loved this colour combo. I see that the Glitter Pot have just got it in so I might be tempted to get some more!
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
The edges of the border are punched with a Martha Stewart punch
The seam binding is called Paradise Aqua from the Ribbon Girls
The button embellie is from the Epiphany range (Crafter's Companion stock these)
Doily is from my stash
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and dotted the little dress with Sakura gelly roll white pen.
The inside of the card has been decorated to complement the front
A view to show the layers
I didn't have enough card stock in the right colour to do the matting so I used plain white card and coloured the edges with Cool Aqua Promarker.
That's me for today - almost!

oooOOOooo

Enabling Alert!!!
I have just bought a couple of new sets of dies. Well that's no big deal, I buy dies all the time, BUT these are from the company called Lifestyle (formerly Quikutz) and they are making a whole new world of dies out there. Pricing is very keen and the designs are certainly comparable with other popular companies. I like the fact that the decorative sets I bought had the pattern from the largest to the smallest die and the sizes are excellent for cardmaking.
This will give you a wee idea of the assortment in each pack and the relative sizes
This is the largest doily circle for comparison
I bought mine from Maddylisa's and the service was totally excellent with no UK p&p. They are certainly worth an extra look. :) Don't all rush at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
