A friend with chocolate!

Hi and good afternoon. It's Friday! yeah!!
I'm looking forward to a weekend of celebrations for my darling DH's birthday. It was actually yesterday and we did have cake and some pressies to mark the occasion but our wonderful daughters have organised get togethers over the weekend and I can't wait. Jonny is going to cook his fabulous roast lamb for us on Sunday - you haven't lived until you've tasted it! :) I thank God every day for blessing us with our family, we are very fortunate people indeed.

So, onto today's card. It's a feast of pink and I enjoyed every bit of it. You know some days you have to 'force' it to fit, well today I simply just played and had a ball.

Card base Centura Pearl - card size - 7" square
LOTV large die cut square image
Tonic - Intrica butterfly doily die and border punch; butterflies from Julia's Vine and Mazarine blue sets; Fanciful flourish; Floral crafter's tool kit (on offer at Crafty Devils as I type!)
Inkadinkado sentiment
Sizzix funky flowers
Small flower punch
Spellbinders labels four
Picked raspberry distress ink - I think I enjoyed this the most. As you can see I've used it on every available edge!
Pearls - Hobby House

The frame for the image was made using the large Intrica butterfly doily die set. I've removed the centre portion and was left with this fab frame. :)

I hope you enjoy this one today, it was a really fun card to make.
Have a great day and I hope you have a good weekend.
See you soon!

You make me smile

Hi! Thank you for calling in today. I've a very quick card to show you - there seems to be no time with all the fuss of the Christmas preparations to spend ages making anything too complicated. :)

Tonic Verso die - Boudoir Square background
Sentiment - Inkadinkado - Kid's quotes and stamped words
Lily of the Valley - squares
Memory Box - fish tail dies
Kraft card stock (Craftwork Cards) and paper from the Barking Dog

The inside is decorated to complement the front - I've stamped a sentiment from PaperMakeup -' Boy - a noise with dirt on it' -  from Quixotic Paperie

Have a smashing day!

Nordic look Christmas card

Hi and good morning. Welcome along to the blog today. I've a quick and easy card to show you today, made from the latest Crafter's Companion download called 'Festive Fun' and available to all members of the new Club Inspire.
It's free to join and has loads of benefits too. Just nip over to Crafter's Companion, click on Club Inspire and join - all the details are on the web site.

I haven't had much chance to indulge myself in the latest Nordic fad but these papers really make it easy. There is just something really Christmassy about the patterns and images.
Card base - Kraft from Stamping Up
Papers from CC Member's December download - Festive Fun
Sentiment plaque, flowers and buttons are also from the download .
Reindeer and 25 - Sizzix Mover and Shaper die by Tim Holtz
Tree - Marianne Design die
Glossy Accents for numbers
Inkadinkado snowflake stamp (for reindeer)
Rangers Antiquities Frosted Crystal ink - edging card and tree

As I said, very simple and easy to make. The paper was printed onto Crafter's Companion satin finish 100gsm paper and the elements onto Centura Pearl card stock.

Hope you like this wee one today. I'll see you tomorrow with a couple of dodgy digital cards I made with my Craft Artist programme. It's been a while since I used it!  :)

Alicia Colouring

Hi and welcome to the blog today.
Much to my surprise I was asked by the lovely Alicia Alva if I would make a couple of cards using her brand new digi stamps. How could I refuse? So today I'm posting the first of these fab images.
You will find her in Alicia's Little Shop

Image - Alicia colouring - Alicia Alva digis
Papers - My Mind's Eye - Everyday Flair
Sentiment - Inkadinkado - children's sayings
Eyelet edge - Stamping Up punch
Doily - English Tea Party - Cheery Lynn

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Prisma pencils

I look forward to seeing a lot more images from this talented lady. I'm sure you do too.

Thank you for joining me today. It's good of you to stick with me even though I'm not blogging every day. I did explain all that a while back, so no need to repeat it here. It's a lot less stressful posting as I'm able, so not too much kick back from the fibro. Long may it stay that way! :)
I hope you have a lovely weekend and I'll see you soon with more from Alicia and the Stamp Basket.
Over and out!!

Sassy Sally's Weigh In

Good afternoon and welcome to the blog. I'm late getting out of the starting blocks today, but you can blame the Olympics for that! :)
I've another of the fab Sassy Cheryl's digis for you today. It's Sally weighing in. Now because that makes me feel so guilty I hunted out a wee sentiment that will wreck any diet! LOL

Digi image - Sassy Sally's weigh in - Sassy Cheryl's digis
First Edition - New leaf papers
Decorative accent - Sizzix die
Flowers - Wild Orchid crafts (and some from Bev's candy)
Sentiment - Inkadinkadoo
Ribbon and lace from stash

The image is coloured with Promarkers

The insert has been decorated to complement the front

That's me for today. Off out to the dentist later where hopefully he can sort out my annoying front tooth!
Have a great day and I'll see you soon (Olympics allowing!) :)
