Hi and welcome to the blog today.
The sun is shining again and the rain has gone for at least a wee while. I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.
I haven't noticed a lot of change to my lifestyle during this lock down which is either very comforting or very disturbing depending on your outlook.
I do miss the hugs though. Chatting to my daughters and my grandchildren via a screen is all well and good but like everyone else I'm missing the energy and vitality of the personal interaction, and will be very relieved and glad when we can resume something approaching normal when it comes.
Today however a wee bit of normal appeared on my doorstep.
I have ordered practically nothing crafty since this all began which is so unlike me I don't recognise myself! 😃
I couldn't, however, resist topping up my collection of Tonic's Nuvo hybrid inks in one of their recent sales. The colours are gorgeous, the price was too good to pass on and now they are here.
The only issue is the storage. I bought one of the Tim Holtz distress ink tins for the first batch of inks but honestly didn't feel like spending yet more money on another one.
Then I remembered I had a set of tins I got with K & Co. embellishments many years ago. They were too nice to throw away. I had altered one or two but forgot about the rest. Ta da!
They are bigger than the TH ones but hold 15 ink pads not 12, even better.
I made a boast tube to keep them in place and they are perfectly comfortable in their new home. The tin even has a carry handle and the design is printed on so no need to decorate. I cut down the ink swatches to fit into the tin so I always have them on hand.
This pic shows the difference in sizes but it keeps all my Nuvo inks tidy and together.
It's such a simple solution and I'm a happy bunny.
Now all I have to do is stir up some mojo and use them!
Have a good weekend!
