Hello. It's been a while but I thought I would pop in to share a card I made using my Go Press and Foil machine today.
The two samples below were made using the Gemini Foil Press as I wanted to see how the foil reacted to two different machines.
I've used the Crafter's Companion Pretty Peonies background stamp for my experiments and I have to say I just love it.
The foil is one I purchased from a vendor on FB and is an iridescent pigment foil. I love the stark contrast with the black and white. I added a few roses I purchased at Wild Orchid Crafts to bring a splash of colour.
I made a little card stock band across the card and punched the edges with a Stamping Up decorative edge punch. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's Theories CMS329 stamp set.
I've used the negative foil i.e. the bit that remains once you have foiled the design onto a piece of card stock. It would be such a waste not to use it.
Below is an image of the positive foil transfer and I used the Gemini Foilpress for this example. I am so impressed with the detail.
The second image is the negative transfer from the same piece of foil.
Spectacular isn't it? You can just make out the iridescence of the foil in this pic.
I have used both machines and prefer the Foilpress for most of the foiling that I like to do but the GoPress is the one that accepts Todo plates so I'm holding on to that as I have quite a collection and don't want them neglected.
Thank you for calling in today.
Have a great weekend. x
