Floral Affections

Good morning and welcome to the weekend on the blog.

I have another of my sample cards to share with you today using the gorgeous Floral Affections collection.

Tonic products used -
Floral Affections - Today Bouquet die set
Lace border - Flora
Craft Perfect - Bright white, Jet Black
Speciality paper - Salmon Harlequin

The card base is 6 1/2" x 7 3/4"

I cut the white layer to 6 x 71/4" and die cut the plain aperture using the large plain edged die from the Thank you Blossom set.
This layer was 3D'd to the backing piece with two layers of foam.
The smaller decorative heart was cut with the Today Bouquet dies and centred in the aperture.
The sentiment plaque was then die cut and 3D'd with foam tape to create another dimension and give the card more interest.
I cut the lace border down to fit and attached it to the bottom of the white layer to hopefully add a little bit of drama.

Floral Affections

Good morning and welcome.

I have a more vintage style card to share today using the beautiful 'Today Bouquet' Floral Affections die set.

Tonic products used -
Ribbon and Bow layering die set (for card base)
Floral Affections 'Thank you Bouquet'
Essentials Oval layering dies
Delicate Detail Floral Flourish stamp set
Nuvo Embossing powder - Clear
Flowers and Flourishes - Beethoven's Rhythm, Verdi's Vase
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Ivory Seashell
Craft Perfect - Ivory White, Espresso Brown

Additonal -
Gathered Twigs distress ink
Lace, image and designer paper from my stash

I cut the card base using the Ribbon & Bow large plain die. Once with the card stock folded over, placing the die just shy of the fold to give me the complete card and once for the topper layer.
I then scored and folded the top half to form the upstand for my single layer that was glued in place once stamped and inked.

I stamped the floral flourish randomly over the base and the top layer of the card using Versamark clear ink and heat set it with Nuvo clear embossing powder.
I then applied the distress ink over the whole surface revealing the stamped images underneath.
I wiped the surface with a clean cloth to remove excess ink to show up the design in the ivory card.

The die cut details and embellishments were added as seen to complete the card.

Thank you for joining me today.
I hope you enjoyed the shows or if you missed them tune in to Catch up on Hochanda to see lots of inspiration and demos using the new collections.

Floral Affections

Hello and welcome to the blog today.

I have a card and matching envelope to share today from the brand new Tonic Studios launch of their Floral Affections die collection.

Tonic products used -
Floral Affections Hello Posey die set
Ornate Easel die set
Craft Perfect - Harvest Gold High Gloss
Speciality - Golden Satin
Navy Blue, Cream

I created the envelope using a piece of card stock 9" square.
I marked 4.5" on all sides and scored between the marks to create an envelope shape.
I cut four of the smaller hearts in both gold card stocks and backed them with a plain navy heart to make them a bit more sturdy.
I used these as in the picture to form a closure for the envelope.
I cut the easel in navy and gold.

I made the main card from the die set in both gold card stocks and cream.
Both the envelope and the card sit on the easel for display.

Join Jodie on Hochanda at 6.00pm on Wednesday for the launch of these most romantic and beautiful dies.
