Hugs and Kisses

Better late than never! It's been one of those days unfortunately when Rosie needed a thorough top and tailing. Oh, Rosie is my miniature poodle in case you were wondering. LOL. She suffers from heart failure and her meds leave her incontinent. It can be a bit ugh! at times but I'm still so lucky to have her. When she was diagnosed nearly three years ago the vet said that I would be lucky to have her for another nine months. I didn't like to tell him that Rosie has her own agenda and she wouldn't go until she was good and ready. Anyhow, all that to say that once she was tidied up and her bedding washed etc. the sun had come out in all it's glory and it was off into the garden to enjoy it.

I haven't coloured anything in for yonks so I tried three Saturated Canarys before I felt that I was getting somewhere. It's funny how you lose the knack unless you keep at it.

I wanted to try a couple of new colour combinations that I gleaned from Kim Brown who does the most fabulous tuts on You Tube. Of course I didn't get the papers out first etc. That's what took a fair bit of the time today - I hadn't any that matched!
Eventually I dug out some Fancy Pants papers called 'Rusted Sun' and since I only had scraps left I had to make them stretch!

I've used Saturated Canary digi image 'Hugs and Kisses'
Fancy Pants papers - Rusted Sun
La La Land banner die
Marianne Design branch and flowers 1 die for the roses
Die-Namics Blueprints #3 for the ribbon and bow
X-cut birch leaf punch
Craftwork Cards sentiment
Clear button from stash
Epiphany circle button punch

The image is coloured with Promarkers
Skin - Blush, Oatmeal, Soft peach, baby pink, antique pink
Clothing - Raw sienna, mustard, buttercup
Hearts - Burgundy, berry, lipstick red
Shoes - tan, satin
Hair - Caramel, sandstone, daffodil bloom
Leggings - Ice Grey 1, 2, 3
Eyes - Umber, burnt sienna, cocoa

A sideways view - just because! :)

Thank you so much for calling in today. I don't know what I would do without you.

See you soon!
