Birthday Boy

Today's card features the Entangled Strip die and stamp set 'Big Day'
Other Tonic products used-
Grandson - Family Members Die set 2
Memento Tag die
Essentials Monochrome and Brilliant Blue card stock collections
Midnight Blue Crystal Drops
Nuvo Alcohol marker #429 for edge of tag

I made an A5 card from the navy base card stock and die cut the edges with the Big Day die.
I cut a matching layer in white and trimmed it to give me a narrow navy border and then a separate strip in the light blue that I applied over the white layer.
I assembled the tag and edged the white layer with a Nuvo pen.
The greeting is shadowed to give a little dimension and I added the stamped greetings, the button and twine and some crystal drops to finish.

Thank you for joining me today. :)

I Miss You

Good morning.
Today's card features another sample made with the gorgeous Entangled Strip 'I Miss You ' die and stamp set.
Other Tonic products used -
Felicity and
Romantic Cottage paper and card stock
Antique Rose Crystal Drops
Diamond Pure Sheen glitter

I'm very fond of the Romantic Cottage collection and couldn't resist using some of the beautiful rose paper on this card. It has that really romantic feel and I thought it suited the heart motifs of the strip die very well.
I've used two of the gorgeous Butterflies from the butterfly and stamp sets, glittered them and added a little more bling with gem crystals.
The centre die ties the two border strips together and though I've said it many times I'll just repeat myself here; I love the way I can mix and match the different Tonic collections together and bring in older dies to complement the latest ones.

Thank you for joining me today.
Have a great Tuesday!

Thinking of You

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.

I was going to keep this card until later on in the week but considering the dreadful events that unfolded in Paris last night I wanted to share it today.

I think it is appropriate to express the deepest condolences and heartfelt sorrow that all right thinking people will extend to the bereaved and injured from last night's horrific attacks.

With Sympathy Entangled Strip Duo

Good morning.
I'm sharing a couple of Sympathy cards that I made for the recent Tonic Studios Entangled Strip die and stamp set launch.

Tonic Products used - Martha Embossing folder
Bright gold and buttermilk crystal drops
Gold embossing powder
Light gold Pure Sheen glitter for the gold dazzler
Petal Pair punch Petite 1

The card measures 6 x 8 1/4" to give you an idea of scale.
I cut the die into the rich cream card stock and applied it to the base card.
The narrow panel has been embossed and I've added some natural coloured mesh ribbon and little flowers to embellish.

My second Sympathy card uses the same strip die set but with different colours takes on a whole new look.

I've die cut the strip into the card stock and used peach pearlescent card to back the design.
I've also used matching pearlescent paper from my stash for an insert.
I coloured some white seam binding with my Nuvo pen 449 to tone with the card colours and added it to the side of the card.
The large drop was made using Nuvo Copper Penny crystal drops.
I paper pieced the flowers on the front of the card and repeated the design on the inside but cutting round the flowers to separate them from the strip to add an accent to pull the colours together.
I rounded the card corners and insert to finish.

Sympathy cards are always the most difficult to make but this die and stamp set certainly makes that job a little easier to do.

Thank you for calling in today.

You are my everything

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.

I'm sharing a card I made for the Tonic Entangled Strips POTD that I believe was requested by the floor manager on the show. That was lovely to hear.:)

It's a very simple romantic card that was a joy to make.

Tonic Products used - Missing You Entangled Strip die and stamp set
Mirror Red from the Christmas Metallic pack
Charcoal Pure Sheen glitter for the dazzler embellishment

The base card was 4 1/8" x 9 1/2". The die was cut centrally into the card front and then cut into the red mirror card. I scored a couple of lines on the front of the card to add interest then I lined up the designs and offset the red mirri slightly for some dimension and trimmed the red card to extend about 3/4". I then added an additional strip of red mirror card to the back to match the width of the front.
I stamped the sentiments using Rocket Red Brilliance ink.
The red heart on the bottom of the card is the negative that drops out of the die cut.
I finished the card with a vellum insert so that the light would shine through the open design on the front.
A triple organza bow and a black dazzler completed the card.

Thank you for joining me today.

I have one of my sample cards to share with you as promised.

I've added some layers to the inside for stability as the finished card is 7.5 x 8.75" so is quite large.
