Glimmer paste and stencil

Good morning and welcome to the blog today. I have the last of my Glimmer Paste and Stencil sample cards to share this time with a Christmas theme.

I wanted to see how the paste worked on a coated card stock so used some Hunkydory Adorable Scorable for the baubles.
It worked brilliantly with no cracking or crumbling. Another surface that holds no fear for these gorgeous pastes. :)

Tonic Products used -
Dazzling Green Glimmer Paste
Sunlit Meadow Crystal Drops
Wreath bauble die
Metallic card - silver
Merry Christmas sentiment

The top strip of card was painted with the paste using an ordinary brush. It dries fairly quickly and is also great for die cutting.

The sky is the limit so I hope you enjoy using these very versatile products from Tonic Studios.

Thank you for joining me today.

Glimmer paste

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
Hello and a great big welcome to my new followers. I am so tickled pink when someone actually follows my blog. I hope you find something to interest you and even inspire you as you visit.

Onto today's card. I've used Tonic Studios new Glimmer Paste and stencil combo to create a Christmas card but these products are so very versatile you could just as easily use them on wood, glass, material etc to make gorgeous home decor pieces.

Tonic products used -
Golden Crystal Glimmer paste
Charcoal Pure Sheen glitter
Beautiful Bokeh stencil
Elegant Oval layering dies
Deco Oval Trellis
Bowscale Layering dies (for card base)

A side view of the card to show the layers, gleam and glitter. :)

I've painted the sentiment panel with the gold glimmer paste to give a matching effect and it really sparkles. After applying the golden glimmer paste to the background I quickly sprinkled some charcoal glitter randomly on the wet paste to bring out the black backing layers. I loved the effect.

Thank you for joining me today.

Have fun with your pastes and stencils when they arrive!

Glimmer paste and acetate

Good morning and welcome to a new week on the blog.
I hope you have been enjoying the introduction to Tonic Studio's new Glimmer pastes and stencil collection.
Mandy has been sharing some fabulous demos and lots of inspiration for using this lovely medium on cards and home decor projects.  Check out the shows at 5.00 and 7.00pm today.

My card today uses the glimmer paste on acetate.
It works beautifully on so many mediums and surfaces - you'll never run out of things to experiment with that's for sure.

Tonic products used -
Garnet Red Glimmer Paster
Woodland Aster from the Beautiful Blooms collection
Rectangle layering dies (for frame)
Scarlet red glitter
Congratulations sentiment
Autumn Red Crystal drops

A close up to show the flower detail

I tried to take a picture that would convey the depth of the texture and the glimmer and shine the paste creates but I'm not sure that it does it justice. It is really gorgeous and so tactile in reality.

Thank you for calling in today. I'm so glad you could join me.
Have a lovely week and I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Glimmer Paste and inks

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I have another card to share using the beautiful new Glimmer Pastes from Tonic Studios.
Today's sample uses only one colour - Moonstone and the colour in the card has been introduced using Distress inks.

Tonic products used -
Harrop Layering dies (card base - 7 x 5 3/4")
Embossing folder - Bevelled Diamond
Retro Happy Birthday sentiment
Ripened Pumpkin Crystal drops

Additional products used -
Distress inks - Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Festive Berries

I placed the stencil onto my piece of card stock and inked through it with the distress inks until I was happy with the colour. I cleaned the stencil and reapplied it to the coloured strip slightly offset, taped it down to keep it in place and applied the Moonstone paste.
I allowed it to dry, then cut it into the required panels for my card.
Offsetting it helps to give more defined edges to the paste with a heightened 3D effect.

A picture to show the glimmer and depth of the finished panels.

I hope you enjoy this one today.
Don't forget to catch Mandy on Create & Craft for the Nuvo shows today at 10.00am and 3.00 pm.

Catch you soon!

Glimmer Paste launch

Hi and welcome to the blog today.

I know you are going to just love these new Glimmer Pastes from Tonic Studios. They are a dream to work with and such a range of colours, 12 in total - Wow! I can't say enough about them.

I'm sharing a card today made using four of the pastes and one of the new stencils 'Falling Diamonds'. The stencil measures 154 x 154 cm and is a great size for all your card making and home decor projects.
There are four new square stencils and six strip stencils to choose from.

Tonic products used -
Glimmer Pastes - Moonstone, Pink Opal, Amethyst Purple and Peridot Green
Jasmine Sunset layering dies
Venetian Layering dies
Tag from the Chelsea Bag
Entwining Trellis Daisies
Royal Fern
Magnolia Flora
Sherbert Shimmer Drops

The background pink layer was painted on using an ordinary paint brush as was the cardstock used to die cut the flowers.
The pastes were applied slightly overlapping using a palette knife and blended into each other gradually.
I've used Clear Crystal drops in the flower centres and dotted round the Venetian die cut layer with Sherbert Shimmer drops to finish.

Don't forget to join Mandy at 11.00 am on Create & Craft for lots of inspiration and great demos.

Thank you for calling in today.
Have a great weekend.
