CAS Christmas cards

Good morning. Another week dawns and I hope you are all set for a good one. :)

Today's cards are ultra simple Christmas cards as it's getting to that point where they need to be made fairly quickly and without a lot of fuss.
I've used offcuts of silver mirri board that were on my desktop and a couple of newish items too.

Centura Pearl card base
Embossing folder from Crafts Too
Snowflakes - Die'Sire and Spellbinder dies
Greetings - Tonic Studios from Christmas cracker die
The card is about 7" square which provides a nice platform for the focal point of the card. I'm loving this size at the minute.

A sideways view to show the detail. As always Centura Pearl is a pain to photograph but I hope you can see some of the glimmer from the card stock. The light has picked up a bluey tinge on one of the mats. I've no idea where that's from! :)

My second card, another 7" square, is very similar with just a few tweaks. :)
I've used more mirri card and cut the centre of the mirri with one of my Tonic dies - Gothic Square border. I love the way I can have this detail in the card and not just a layer for over it.

The cardstock looks a bit grey but it was very difficult to photograph so you will have to excuse me and picture it silvery white. :)
The greeting is from my Tonic Christmas cracker die which cuts to perfection and just pops out without any wax paper etc. I wish I could say the same for the Die'Sire snowflakes. They are a labour of love I'm afraid.

A close up look at the focal point of the card. The white panel behind the snowflake is snow white Centura Pearl - honestly!!! LOL

I hope you enjoy these today. I love white on white or in this case silver on white cards. :)

Have a super day and thank you for calling in.

Spring Swing

Hi and good morning! Have a very happy Easter whatever your plans for the holiday weekend. I can't believe it's Easter Saturday already. Loads of chocolate to eat and I have gone off it! Can you believe it????????? I adore chocolate as my rather rotund shape would tell you and I just can't eat it. I've gone off coffee and tea as well. Unheard of! My veins run with coffee - it's what keeps me functioning. Perhaps the 'flu has done me a favour after all. I don't suppose it will last but I might as well enjoy it whilst I can.

I made a quick card yesterday with a wee LOTV image I had coloured in called 'Spring Swing'. I love this wee image, it's just all about this time of year. As with all LOTV images it was a joy to colour in.
My mojo has gone on a break too by the looks of it but I was hoping to get back to my craft room and I needed to start somewhere. :)
I've used Prima 'Jack n' Jill' papers
LOTV sentiment
Seam binding
Crafts Too flowers
Pins from Joanna Sheen
I've coloured the bunny with Promarkers and Prisma pencils
I've decorated the inside to complement the front
I've used Guttermann 7mm clear bugle beads for the ends of the pins. I've a dread of someone hurting themselves when they pick up a card with exposed pins. The beads have been secured using Glossy Accents.

That's me for today. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for popping in.

On tiptoe

Hi, good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I've a nice and easy card today using one of the Lili of the Valley die cut squares. She's an oldie but goldie and you can still buy the stamp version 'On Tiptoe' at the LOTV site. Though I don't do any more DT Challenge work for LOTV I still love their images.
I've chosen the blue swirl paper from the K & Co Watercolour Bouquet collection for this card. The blues in the paper just toned in perfectly with the ready-coloured square.
Leafy bough is a Marianne design die
White flowers are from Crafts Too - I've coloured some with a French Navy Promarker
Pearls from the Hobby House
White seam binding - bow done on the Bowdabra
Basic Grey button
Sentiment and ticket die by Whimsy
Doily 5 x 5" from Helena (Pink Thoroughbred on ebay)
I've decorated the inside of the card very simply to complement the front.
Close up of floral detail

That's me for today. Thanks again for joining me. Have a smashing day and a great weekend!
