Colour Create Challenge #96

Here we are with another Colour Create challenge and it's my turn to host the challenge this time. I've a feeling that this will be a challenge as the colours are quite an unusual mix so I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with. :)
Here's the inspiration photo

Now I would like to see green, brown, white and a wee touch of lavender with the optional extra of a metal embellishment. Are you up for it? Use any tones you like of the colours.
If you need more inspiration nip over to the Colour Create Challenge blog and see what the DT made of this combo!
Here are two cards that I made - one feminine and one masculine.
I've used a D'Arcy digi image - 041
 Crate Papers - Samantha
WRMK designer grommit
Nellie's Choice flower punch
X Cut birch leaf punch
Memory Box swirl die
Flat lace from stash
The image is coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils

Now onto a 'man's' card
I've made a more graphic card this time using my new 'favourite' die - Die-Namics fish tails
Card stock is brown, lime green and lilac from the Papermill
The designer grommit is from WRMK
Sentiment is from a Forever Friends set
Gem from stash
The inside has been simply decorated with matching cardstock

Now it's over to you. Have fun with it!

Colour Create Challenge #91

Today we have another fab challenge at Colour Create. It is Mina's turn to choose the colours and she has come up with a great combination.
Here's the inspiration pic for you to get your mojo flowing!
Are you ready to have a go? We would love to see you take part, meantime pop over to the Challenge blog and have a look at what the DT have come up with.
Here's my interpretation. Hope you like it.
I've used a gorgeous stamp from LOTV that I've had for simply ages but rarely inked up. She's called 'Little Ballerina' (ST124) and she was a joy to colour in.
The papers are Carolina Breeze by Teresa Collins
Flowers are punched and embossed with Nellies' Choice and Woodware punches
Leaves are Marianne design dies
The sentiment is part of a Penny Black stamp (dance, sing, love 2695J)
Lace trim is a gift from a friend
The image is coloured with Promarkers
This is a wee view to show the layers though I kept the whole lo very simple. I've edged the sentiment mat with a Stamping Up scallop punch and popped a few pearls on the card to finish.

Don't forget to have a look and join in.
Have a great day!

Colour Create Challenge #89

Good morning and welcome to the blog today. It's time for another challenge at Colour Create and this time it's teamie Shanna's turn to choose the colours. Shanna has chosen white or cream with light and dark brown and the optional extra is hearts and just look at the inspirational picture. Oh my! I would love to be inspired with them in real life. LOL

2 February - Challenge 89 - Shanna White or Cream, Light Brown, Dark Brown

I've chosen a die cut square from LOTV as my main image but re-coloured it to tone with the papers I've used.
The papers are Basic Grey 'Printery'
Prisma and Polychromos pencils for colouring
Marianne Chinese Rose die
Cheery Lynn tropical bough and hearts dies
Nellie's Choice scallop edged circle
Cuttlebug divine swirls embossing folder
EK Success open scallop edge punch
Brushed corduroy and walnut stain distress inks
Trim from my friend Jill
charm from stash
I was trying to get a better idea of the dimension here but the light was, as usual, pretty awful so I hope you can get the idea from this pic.
A wee close up of the heart, roses and charm detail

Please nip over to the Colour Create challenge and see the super cards the other girls have made. Don't forget to enter, look forward to seeing you there.
For the month of February, we will be having a surprise candy package for one lucky winner.

Have a super day whatever your plans!

Colour Create Challenge #88

Just before I start my post to day I have to tell you that my darling DH has gone into hospital for an operation this morning. I wonder if you feel inclined would you please remember him in your thoughts and prayers. I'm all of a dither myself but trust that everything will go well and I'll have him home soon. Thank you. E x

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Colour Create. Suzie has chosen lovely bright colours for this one - pink, green and a neutral and the bonus element is hand-made flowers.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Kenny K.

 Here's my card today.
The papers I've used are First Edition's 'Birdsong'
The sentiment is Autumn Leaves
The die cut flowers and leaves are Marianne Design
Seam binding and twine from the Ribbon Girl
Iridescent flower button from my stash
I've chosen the 'Soho' image to work with today and have coloured it with a mixture of Prisma pencils and Promarkers
I've decorated the inside to complement the front of the card. There's a white panel on the other side that you can't see where you could write a message etc.
The edges of the border piece are punched with a Stamping Up scallop punch. I think if I had to choose only one edger punch, this one would win hands down. :)

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and see if you were the lucky winner from last time. Check out the wonderful cards that the girls have made and let your creativity flow. Look forward to seeing you there. :)

A quick hello and welcome to my new followers. Thank you so much for joining me on this crafty adventure.

Colour Create Challenge 87

Hi and welcome today. It's time for another challenge at Colour Create and today it's my turn to choose the colours to work with. Here's a wee pic for some inspiration!

The colours are red, cream and sage green with the added option of buttons. I love this pic and would just adore some material for my bathroom blind in exactly that pattern. :)
I've chosen a sneak peek of one of the new D'Arcy's Diaries images that are due out on the 12th January. The fab graphics are drawn by the uber talented Gayle (of Teddybo, Wonderland Stamps and FairyD fame). The whole DT have just loved working with the images so keep an eye on our blogs to get the latest information and more sneak peeks!
Papers are My Mind's Eye 'So Sophie'
Swirls are medium Sizzix dies
Sentiment is Autumn Leaves
Buttons are Basic Grey
Doily is Cheery Lynn 'English Tea Party'
The image has been coloured with Prisma pencils and I've inked round the edges with antique linen distress ink
I've decorated the inside to complement the front of the card and finished with a double bow in cream seam binding.

This time our challenge is being sponsored by Mo's digital pencil and there are $5 worth of digi's to be won.

I'm delighted that the team have enjoyed using these colours and you can tell by visiting the Colour Create Challenge blog just how much with the gorgeous cards they have made. We would be thrilled to see your take on the challenge! Look forward to seeing what you make this fortnight. :)
