Your Next Stamp - Happy Haunting

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing another card that I made as a guest designer for Your Next Stamp.

I love making Halloween cards and Your Next Stamp has lots of fabulous Halloween stamps and dies!  I decided to use a few different sets to make this Halloween card.  I started my card by inking the background.  I diecut some grassy slopes and blended on some Forest Moss Distress Oxide Ink; I thinned some black acrylic paint and spattered that onto the slopes using a small paint brush.  For the night sky, I used Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks.  I spattered both white and black acrylic paint that I thinned with water onto the night sky.  I chose images from the Halloween Phoebe and Waddles Trick or Treat stamp sets.  I stamped the images, colored them with copics, and diecut them with the coordinating dies.  I also diecut some trees from black cardstock using the Spooky Halloween Scene Die Set.  I diecut the moon using a circle die and sponged it with distress oxide inks (sorry, I neglected to jot down the inks I used for the moon).  I used a white gel pen to add some highlights and I used Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the penguins' beaks and feet.  I adhered some of the images directly to the card and I used foam tape on some of them for added interest and dimension.

I want to thank Karen and Julie for having me guest for them, it was so much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I stamped one of the adorable little birds from the Fabulous Feathers stamp set, colored it with copics, and diecut it using the coordinating dies.  I added some Glamour Dust to the feathers to give them a bit of sparkle.  I used the Circle Burst die on white cardstock and backed it with a piece of dark teal cardstock.  I adhered the cardstock to my card base and stamped the sentiment.  This was a very CAS card and would be so easy to mass produce so that you have a stash of encouragement cards on hand.  The sentiments in this stamp set are so encouraging!

Your Next Stamp - Cupcake Day

Good morning!  I'm excited to share that I will be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp for the next couple of months!

If you've followed me for awhile then you may remember I was on the YNS DT for several years.  I've always loved their whimsical designs and this sweet little Cupcake Day is one of my favorites!  There are so many adorable images in this stamp set.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut a rectangle from white cardstock.  Next I used washi tape to hold the Peek A Boo Trio Die Set - Large on the stitched rectangle and ran that through my diecut machine.  I sponged distress oxide inks on my card base so you would see pretty colors through the diecut circles.  Once again I sponged on distress ink to create the grassy area where the mouse is standing.  I colored the mouse and cupcakes with copics and diecut them with the coordinating dies.  I adhered the colored images with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment on the card and in the mouse's banner are from this stamp set also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Your Next Stamp - Share a Favorite

Good morning everyone!  I have been a guest on the Your Next Stamp Blog for the past two months and it's been so much fun.  But today is my last post for them and I'm sharing a "favorite".

I'm sharing one of my favorite YNS holiday stamps today.  I also love ink-blended backgrounds so I combined both of those for today's card.  I sponged Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire inks to create the night sky.  Then I stamped the little bunny and tree from the Frosty Friends stamp set.  I colored them with copics and diecut them using the coordinating Frosty Friends Die Set.  I absolutely adore that little bunny and I've used that stamp to make lots of cards and tags this holiday season.  I added some Glamour Dust to the snow on the tree and I added a silver bow.  I adhered some Winter Wonderland Sparkly Gumdrops to add some pretty sparkle to my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week!
