You Make My Life Sweet
Happy Wednesday! All of you wonderful visitors certainly make my life sweeter.
This beautiful girl is called Domestic Goddess. She's one of the latest Simply Sassy releases over at Funky Kits. She's out of stock right now but I'm sure she'll be back in the shop shortly. I used my Distress Inks to color this sweetie. Wish I looked this cute when I was cooking ... bet my hubby also wishes I looked this cute when I was cooking lol! I added some flowers with tiny pearls and some twill ribbon. That twill ribbon is some I've had forever and bought it on clearance for super cheap. The sentiment I picked up for 50 cents at a garage sale held by my LSS and I knew I'd be able to use it someday. I love a bargain and I especially love when I actually use them instead of shoving them on a shelf and forgetting about them :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Hugs, Anita

Celebrate
Hello friends. I'm sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days. A nasty bug came to visit me and I didn't think it was ever going to leave. I finally shoved it out the door last night and now I'm feeling much better. So I'll be around to catch up on all your blogs soon.
Please meet Cinderella, one of the latest Simply Sassy images released by Sugar Nellie. I just love this stamp as I think she's so pretty. OK, I know I say that about all of them, don't I lol? She's colored with distress inks. I've used Glamour Dust on her tiara and the bows on her shoes. I added some flowers and some glittered hearts to finish my card.
My sweet teamie Mary J is featured in our Simply Sassy Tuesday Spotlight today so be sure to stop by and check out all her gorgeous work.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

A Simply Sassy Sneak Peak
(Please scroll down for my Divas by Design post)
Hello friends. The Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy set 11 will be released this Saturday in a blog hop, but I have a little sneak peak to share with you today!
This little cutie is called Book Club -- isn't she adorable? I colored this sweet girl with distress inks. I added a seam binding bow with a little apple button and then some punched flowers with pearls. My grandson started kindergarten this year and he loves his teacher (and school, thank goodness). So I thought this sweet image would make a perfect card for his teacher. My daughter can include a gift card for his teacher's favorite little shop or restaurant and my grandson can give it to her for Christmas.
The Simply Sassy set 11 will be available Saturday over at Funky Kits. If you want to see more sneak peaks this week stop by the Simply Sassy DT Blog. And don't forget to mark your calendars for our blog hop this Saturday, November 19. You'll want to start here for the hop.

Holiday Star Dust
Happy Wedneday to all of you. I hope you're having a great week so far. I have a holiday card today.
I was trying to decide which of my adorable stamps to use for my Wedneday post over on the Simply Sassy Blog. I knew I wanted to do a Christmas card and as I was looking through my stamps, I spotted Star Dust. It's been a while since I had inked her up and I thought she would be perfect for a holiday card. I finally bought the Martha Stewart Snowflake Trim punch the other day and used it on my card and added some pearls to the snowflakes. All my papers are stitched and I've used Glamour Dust on her shoes and the "star dust" she's sprinkling around. I added a bow and then inked the edges of the glittery stars I purchased a long time ago at Michaels - not sure if the inking shows up very well. One more Christmas card done and added to my stash!
Thank you for stopping by.

Simply Sparkly
Well, we're halfway through the week and only 2 more days until the weekend - yeah!
I have something sparkly to show you today. I used Tiffany, one of the Simply Sassy images from Sugar Nellie. Isn't she gorgeous in her little dancing outfit? She would be perfect for a little budding ballerina, wouldn't she? I colored her with my copics and colored pencils and used Glamour Dust on the edges of my papers. I also sprinkled Glamour Dust on the flowers, doily and punched butterflies. I used some sheer ribbon on my card but it's kind of hard to see. I made a little lace rosette and added a pink heart button, to match the one she's wearing in her hair.
You can find this beautiful image over at Funky Kits. And, have you entered the Sugar Bowl Challenge yet? You still have a week to enter their latest challenge and the winner gets some gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps! So be sure to stop by the challenge to get all the details.

A Sassy Tag
Happy Wednesday friends. I hope you're having a wonderful week so far - we're halfway to the weekend, yeah! I have been trying to work on my stash of Christmas cards and thought I would try something a little different and make a tag.
This little sweetie is Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy Secret Santa. I colored her with copics and colored pencils and applied Fluffy Stuff to the fur on her outfit. I used Tim Holtz's Distress Crackle Paint around the edges of my paper to give it a snowy look. I've also been seeing so many of you talented ladies using cheesecloth and I love the way it looks on your projects, so I gave it a try. I used a bit of lace and then punched various sizes of snowflakes which are covered with Glamour Dust - I love that sparkle! I added some chocolate brown pearls to some of the snowflakes. The sentiment ticket also has some paint and sparkle on the edges. I had ordered that huge roll of seam binding awhile back and finally dyed some with Tim Holtz's Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I will probably use this tag on my niece's Christmas package. She loves these Sassy images and I think this tag would be perfect for a young teen girl, don't you?
Thank you for stopping by.

Other: Copics, Caran d'Ache and Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint, Glamour Dust, cheesecloth, Fluffy Stuff, lace, pearls, snowflake punches, seam binding

Let's Hit The Town
Hello friends. It's Wednesday so that means I have a Simply Sassy card to share today. I have used Let's Hit The Town, a sassy girl from the newest Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy release.
Isn't she a beautiful girl? I love the sweet look on her face and her outfit is fabulous ... but look at her shoes! They so remind me of shoes I wore when I was younger. And I could actually walk in them without breaking my neck lol. I colored this sweetie with copics and colored pencils and added some WOC flowers and a sheer ribbon & bow. The flourish is a new MFT die and the sentiment is from PTI. I thought this sentiment would be perfect with this image. You can find this sassy girl and all her friends over at Funky Kits.

A Simply Sassy Sneak Peak
Happy Wedneday friends. I have a little sneak peak to share with you today.
This sweet girl is called "Love Letters". I think she's beautiful and she was so much fun to color. I used my copics and colored pencils to color this image. I also tried something new ... instead of making a card, I made a little keepsake box. I painted a paper mache box with cream acrylic paint and added some pretty Melissa Frances dp and some lace. I made a little lace rosette and added a flower to the center, and I added some flourishes made with my Memory Box die. In the other corner I added some WOC mulberry roses, punched leaves, and pearls.
We are having sneak peeks all week over on the Simply Sassy Blog so be sure to pop over and check out the beautiful work by the dt. Please mark your calendar because we're having a blog hop this Saturday and we'll be showing you all the new Simply Sassy images. All these images will be available Saturday at Funky Kits.
Thank you for stopping by.

Simply Spooky
Good morning. If you follow my blog then you know I love Halloween. My daughter was born on Halloween and I love everything about it ... the decorations, the trick-or-treaters, and of course the candy!
I have a little Halloween treat bag to share with you today. I used the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Witches Cauldron stamp for my treat bag. Isn't she the prettiest witch you've ever seen? I love all that hair! She might be cooking up a batch of love potion brew but she's so cute I don't think she needs it, do you? I colored this cutie with copics and colored pencils and used just a little Glamour Dust on the heart on her hat and the buttons on her dress. My paper is the new Doodlebug Design halloween line. I love their new papers, they're so perfect for Halloween creations.
I'm sure you've seen these little treat bags all over blogland but if you want to know how I made mine, you can stop by the Simply Sassy Blog for the directions. Fill these up with yummy chocolates and they would make perfect gifts for teachers or your friends. If you make one please leave me a comment so I can visit your blog and check it out :)
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I Give You My Heart
Happy Wednesday friends! Today is my first post as a permanent dt for Simply Sassy and I am sooo excited! Thanks so much to Maria and Karen (Mrs Sugar Nellie) for inviting me back into their sweet dt family :)
I used I Give You My Heart for my card today. I Just love that sweet expression on her face ... I think she looks like she's missing her special guy :) I colored this cutie with copics and colored pencils and added a touch of Glamour Dust to the heart on the stick. I've distressed my papers, which isn't something I do very often. And for some reason, the distessing looks very orange. I promise that IRL it's a pretty shade of light brown lol! I've added a heart doily and a piece of lace beside the image. I used my punches for the flowers, leaves, and butterflies. To finish off my card I added a heart charm and some pearls to the flowers.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
