Butterfly Baby

Good morning.  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend so far!

I made this card ages ago but never got around to sharing it on my blog.  I don't think this sweet image is available any longer.  It's called Butterfly Baby and it was from the Saturated Canary shop.  I colored the image with distress inks and used some pretty papers from Graphic 45.  The butterflies were cut using a butterfly border die and I added a tiny pearl to the center of each butterfly.  I punched a tag using the Martha Stewart Scalloped Tag Punch, stamped the word Baby, and tied the tag onto the bow using some embroidery floss.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

Pack Light

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using a Saturated Canary digi.

I colored this image ages ago but never got around to making a card with her.  Poor little cutie has been sitting in my UFO (unfinished objects) pile for a long time.  I colored the image with copics and colored pencils.  The image is quite large so I left it as the focal point and only added a few enamel dots.  I love plaid dp and the one I used here is from My Favorite Things.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

7KCF - Queenie & Princess

Good morning all!  Today I'm sharing a card featuring a stamp from Saturated Canary.

This adorable stamp is Queenie & Princess.  This image just makes me smile and I thought it would be a perfect card to send to a good friend.  I colored the image with colored pencils and gamsol.  That's right - no copics on this one!  I added a sentiment from CC Designs and some sparkly dots with a pearl pen.  And of course there's StarDust Stickles on her tiara because all tiaras need some sparkle, right?

7KCF

Good morning.  Today I'm sharing a sweet image from Saturated Canary.

This cutie is Little Lady Bug but I decided to make her a little bumble bee instead!  I used the Memory Box Honeycomb Stencil to make my background paper.  I colored the image with colored pencils and gamsol ... no copics!  The butterfly is actually two separate dies.  I used the Rhone Butterfly Wings Die to cut the butterfly in black cardstock, and then I layered that on a vellum butterfly that I cut using the Effera Butterfly Wings Die.  I added a black seam binding bow and a small pearl on the butterfly.  And of course lots and lots of Glamour Dust on her wings and antennae.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge

( ** Please scroll down for my CC Designs and Greeting Farm posts ** )

Happy Wednesday everyone!  We're starting a new challenge today over on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and the theme is ... "anything goes"!  Our challenges throughout the rest of this year will be "anything goes" but remember that in order to be eligible for the gift certificate prize you must use an image carried in the 7 Kids College Fund Store.

Today I'm using the Saturated Canary image Little Lady Bug.  Instead of coloring her in red and black, I decided to use bright yellow and black.  So I guess she looks more like a bumble bee than a lady bug lol!  She's stamped on Neenah Solar White Smooth Classic Crest cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Supplies from 7 Kids College Fund:

The challenge is open for two weeks so you've got lots of time to play along.  I hope to see your card entered in the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Candy Hearts

( ** Please scroll down for my Sugar Nellie and Greeting Farm posts **)

Good morning, again :)  I recently won a challenge over on the All Beautiful Cards Challenge Blog so Patty invited me to be a guest designer.  They have an inspiration challenge this week and it's ... Candy Hearts!  How sweet is that?

I decided to use this beautiful Saturated Canary image called Hugs and Kisses.  Krista (owner and amazing designer of Saturated Canary) offered this image free on her blog and I was lucky enough to grab it.  But if you didn't get the freebie, you can still purchase this sweetie over in Krista's shop.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added Glamour Dust on the heart ruffles.  My papers are by American Crafts and I followed the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 177

Be sure to stop by the All Beautiful Cards Challenge to check out the beautiful cards by their DT.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs, Anita

Winter Wonderland

Hello sweet friends.  Are you managing to stay warm?  We have been having bitterly cold temps here the last couple of days and it's suppose to stay that way all week.  While I may not be enjoying the cold weather, it looks like this sweet girl loves it ...

This little cutie is Nikki and you can find her over in the Saturated Canary shop.  I've always wanted to alter a gift bag and thought Nikki would be perfect for this wintery paper.  The paper is Winterings by Little Yellow Bicycle and I love colors and patterns in this collection.  I colored Nikki with copics and colored pencils and added some Glamour dust to the heart on her scarf and the icy ground.  I applied Liquid Applique to her legwarmers and mittens and used Liquid Pearls around the image.  I added a big bow, tag, and glittery snowflakes to finish my giftbag.  This gift bag was so fun to make - I'm sure you'll be seeing more of them on my blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

Be Mine

Hello sweet friends!  I hope you're having a fabulous week.  I am actually caught up on my DT work and had some time to make a Valentine card for my sweet hubby.  I can't believe I have it done in January ... I'm usually finishing his card at the very last minute lol!

I have had this sweet Saturated Canary - Little Lady Bug stamp for a while and wanted to get her inky so I decided to make her into a Valentine card.  I think it works, don't you?  I picked my stamp up at The Paper Cottage but if you're not local you can find this stamp over at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and then I added lots of Glamour Dust to her antennae and wings.  I diecut my flowers with the Layered Rose die from My Favorite Things and then added a little pearl to each one.  I usually don't use glitter, flowers, and pearls on cards for DH but hey - it's a Valentine!  Plus, she's so cute she needs lots of girly embellishments.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Anita

Christmas Angel

Hello to all of you.  Well I've got another Christmas card to share today.  I hope you're not already tired of seeing Christmas cards.  They are some of my favorites to make so I never get tired of seeing them out in blogland ;)

This beautiful image is Christmas Angel by Saturated Canary.  I love this image and I'm sure I'll probably use her a few more times this year.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I painted Creative Inspirations Paints' Fairy Dust on her wings to give them a pretty shimmer and I used Resplendence Angel Dust Fine Glitter on the Christmas ornaments.  I added some pearls, glittered berries, ribbon, and a bell.  The sentiment can be found over at Funky Kits.  This is my last project as a member of the Creative Inspirations Paints design team, but it certainly won't be my last project using their fabulous products.  Be sure to stop by and check out their paints, glitters, and embossing powders.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita
