7KCF & Stamping Bella

Good morning everyone!  Today I'm sharing a Mo Manning card I made for the 7KCF Blog.

I used this sweet Girly Girl Candy from Stamping Bella.  I love Mo's images!  I colored this adorable girl with copics and colored pencils.  The papers are from the Crush collection by Authentique.  I cut the sentiment with the MFT stitched circle die and the little heart banner is a die from Penny Black.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have an amazing weekend!

I'm a Guest Designer at Cupcake Craftroom

Good morning friends.  Mandy, the owner of Cupcake Cards and Crafts asked if I would like to be a Guest DT on the Cupcake Craftroom Blog.  Well of course I said yes!

The Cupcake Craftroom Challenge for July is layers, so I made a card that fits their challenge.  I was the lucky winner of their May challenge and Mandy generously gave away one of her gorgeous paper collections as the prize.  The paper I chose is Refreshers - I just love the colors and designs in these papers!  Here's the card I made . . .

In addition to the beautiful Refreshers papers, I used the adorable  Mavis Builds a Sandcastle by Stamping Bella.  For those of you that may not know, Mavis was created by Christy Croll, the creator of those cute Tiddly Inks designs.  Anyway, I colored this cute kitty with copics and colored pencils and used a little bit of glitter paint on the polka dots on her swimsuit.  I used Glossy Accents on her nose and sunglasses.  The sentiment is from the CC Designs Beach Logos stamp set.  Be sure to stop by Cupcake Cards and Crafts to checkout all of Mandy's beautiful papers!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Anita

Somebunny Loves You

Good evening!  This is a really late post for me but I've been so busy this weekend that I almost forgot to post this card.  I have been trying to give some inky love to some of my older stamps ... many of which have never seen ink :(  As I was going through some of my Stamping Bella images, I ran across this little cutie and thought she would be perfect for an Easter card.

This sweet image is Presley Lollipop by Stamping Bella.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  My papers are DCWV Linen Closet, which I've had forever.  I'm still trying to make myself use some of my older stash.  I've added a little heart border, and a bow with a flower.  The sentiment came with the stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Hugs, Anita

Ella Lollipop

(** Scroll down one post to see my free stamp **)

Hello sweet friends.  I was looking through some blog challenges a few days ago and ran across this one over at By LORi Designs.  I love the inspiration colors so decided to play along.

This adorable image is Ella Lollipop.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  My papers are a new line by We R Memory Keepers that I picked up at my LSS and I thought they were perfect for this challenge.  I added some twill ribbon and buttons to finish my card.  My sentiment is from the Friend Stamp Set from the Precious Remembrance Shop.

This is a Stamping Bella stamp I've had for several years and I don't see it on their website any longer.  I did find this little cutie  as a digi over in Lori's shop if you want to add her to your collection :)  I really seem to be pulling out all my older stamps this week, don't I?  Well, our older stamps need some inky love too, right?

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Hugs, Anita

Happy Birthday

Good morning to all of you.  Yeah...it's finally Friday!  Wow, only one more week until Christmas.  Are you ready...do you have all your shopping done?  Not me, but I figure whatever doesn't get finished in time for Christmas this year will just have to wait until next Christmas LOL!

Anyway, I'm going to be talking about a birthday today.  You see, Kerry, the Queen Ladybug of Ladybug Crafts Ink had her 29th birthday last week.  And you may or may not know it but they also had a MAJOR snowstorm right before her birthday.  So of course my card didn't arrive in time for her birthday.  But she has finally received it so it's safe for me to show.

I often think those with December birthdays probably get cheated a little KWIM?  It's so close to Christmas...so are their birthday gifts combined with their Christmas gifts? ... are their birthday gifts wrapped with Christmas wrapping paper?  ... are their birthday cards made with Christmas images?  ...oops, sorry Kerry, but I just had to use this image for your card!

Now, I guess it probably seems strange to use a stamp from another company to make Kerry's birthday card, but I was already sending Kerry some LCI cards for her CHA booth.  Then I remembered that when I applied for Kerry's DT this past summer I had to send pictures of some of my favorite cards.  One of the pictures I sent Kerry was Mavis Builds a Sandcastle.  I found out later that Kerry really liked the Mavis card, so I wanted Kerry to have her very own "Mavis"!

Anyway, I colored Mavis with my copics and prismacolor pencils.  I used red Stickles on the holly berries and Glamour Dust on her dress.  I used some pearls on the flowers and added a ribbon and bow.  I tied the sentiment tag with some embroidery floss.

Here's the inside of the card before I wrote a little note to Kerry.  Well, I just had to finish the inside...nothing but the best for Kerry!  And besides, Mary J's habit of beautifully finishing the inside of her cards is starting to grow on me...which is NOT a good thing.  I am probably the slowest cardmaker in the world.  Honestly, it takes me forever to finish a card.  So the last thing I need is to start decorating the inside of my cards lol!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Just Cute Bears and Friends

Good morning.  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!  Today we have a new challenge for you over at Just Cute Bears and Friends Challenge, and the challenge is...Anything But A Card.

I made a tissue box cover using Mavis Wearing Holly by Stamping Bella.  Is this not just the cutest kitty you've ever seen?  I'm usually more of a dog lover, but when I saw this image, I just had to have it!  There are more adorable Mavis images and you can check them out over at Stamping Bella.  I got the pattern for the tissue box cover from Diane Zechman at Paper Cookies.  If you want to see lots of other beautiful projects, be sure to check out her blog.

I colored my image with copics and prismacolor pencils and added some Glamour Dust and stickles for some holiday sparkle.  I also added some Glossy Accents to her little nose.  I used the snowflake embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set and added the red scallops using my Martha Stewart doily lace punch.  I had a Martha Stewart punch that I used for my leaves and then added some pearls for the berries (on the lid).

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please be sure to stop by the Just Cute Bears and Friends Challenge so you can check out all the beautiful projects by the talented DT!  This will be our last challenge for 2010 and it will remain open until January 1, 2011.  I hope you can find some time to join us.

A Kitty For Sue

I made this card for Sue, one of the lovely team members on the Ladybug Crafts Ink DT.  Sue is trying to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research.  Since the wristbands, ribbons, etc. for ovarian cancer are teal, Sue is asking for teal cards.  Sue also has some blog candy that some lucky person can win just for sending her a teal card.  Be sure to check out the scoop on Sue's blog and send her a card if you can.

I used "Mavis Has A Daisy" by Stamping Bella.  I colored Mavis with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.    I decided to paper piece her dress and the flower on her head.  I really like paper piecing and I'm not sure why I don't do it more often.  Anyway, I thought this pattern paper by My Mind's Eye would make a much cuter dress than my colored pencils.

I used my pawprint punch by EK Success to punch a strip of teal paper and then ran my piece of white cardstock through my embossing folder to give it some texture.  I added some pearls to the corners of the card and used pearls for my flower centers.

Mary, one of the other lovely team members on our DT always finishes the inside of her cards and let me tell you, the inside is as beautiful as the front of her cards.  It's always a treat to see how she's decorated the inside.  Anyway, I decided to finish the inside of this card.  Not as lovely as Mary's, but I like it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Little Mavis

Yikes!  This is my first post on my new blog so bear with me.  This is Mavis.  She's from Stamping Bella and I think she's adorable.  There are several other Mavis images and they're so cute!  I've colored her using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  My paper is Basic Grey Kioshi.  I love this paper because it has so many pretty colors in it.

I hope to be back tomorrow with a new card.  Thanks for visiting.
