Whimsy Inspiration

Good morning to all of you.  My blogging buddy and teammate Maria Therese has me hooked on making Christmas tags to attach to my packages this year.  I have made a few with colored images but then decided to make some using Whimsy's sentiments.  These were so easy to make and took very little time.  I think they'll really dress up the packages this year.

I used Christmas SentimentsSeason's Greetings Sentiments, and Warm Winter Wishes Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs over at Whimsy Stamps.

After I printed off my digi sentiments I cut them out with Nestabilities.  Using Bazzill cardstock, I cut out the matting to place behind my sentiment and then adhered both of these to a pretty doily.

I cut an even larger Nestabilities circle from Bazzill and adhered it behind the doily.  This made the tag sturdier and this is where I will write the recipient's name.

I punched a whole at the top and added some ribbon so I can tie on the tag.  On the front of the tag, I used a glue pen all around the edges of the sentiments and added Glamour Dust.  Then I decorated them with various punches, flowers, and pearls.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone.  I hope you had a terrific day.  I have a little Christmas card to show you today.

This card was really quick and easy ... as you can see, there's no coloring!  Now I love to color images but sometimes it's nice to make a card just using a lovely sentiment as the focal point.  I used Christmas Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs over at the Whimsy shop.  I cut my sentiment out with my Nestabilities and then added some lace, ribbon, a bow and a little flower.  Easy peasy.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope to see you tomorrow.

New Digi Releases over at Whimsy Stamps

Hello to all of you.  We have a blog hop and some fabulous new releases to share over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog

I used Polar Claus, an adorable new digi image by Kathryne of StampArt Design.  I've colored this cutie with copics and colored pencils and used some Glossy Accents on the nose.  I paper-pieced the hat and used Liquid Applique on the fluffy parts.  I've got him lying on a bed of Glamour Dust "snow".  Well, I probably shouldn't have done that as he's probably freezing lol, but the sparkly snow always looks so pretty.  The sentiment is from Warm Winter Wishes Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.  Both the image and the sentiment can be found over in the Whimsy store.

Now, to join in the Blog Hop, scoot over to the Whimsy Inspiration Blog to find out all the details.

Thank you for stopping by.

This cute image is Autumn Friends by StampArt Design and it's available over in the Whimsy shop.  I colored this fall image with copics and colored pencils and used some Glossy Accents on the scarecrow's nose, jack-o-lantern face, and the duck's beak and feet.  My sentiment is from Autumn Sentiments by Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs.  Be sure to stop by the shop and check out all their fabulous digital and rubber stamps, dies, and other paper crafting embellishments.

In My Garden

Happy Sunday to all of you.  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend so far.  I have a new card to share with you today.

I've used a sentiment from the In My Garden set, which is a new release by Raindrop Echo Designs at Whimsy Stamps.  I colored this image with copics and colored pencils.  I added some pearls, a bow, and a little flower.  I wanted to keep my design simple so that the focus is on the beautiful sentiment.  I have a friend who loves gardening so I'm going to give this card to her.

Be sure to stop by Whimsy Stamps to check out all their fabulous images (they carry both rubber and digi).  They're having an Autumn sale but do hurry as the sale ends today.

My Dear Friend

** Click here to see my birthday blog candy **

Happy Wednesday friends.  I hope you're having a wonderful week.  Like many areas of the states, we're having some really high temperatures.  Our forecast for the next week or so is 90 to 95 degrees ... ugh!  Now, I don't really like cold weather but 90+ is a little too warm lol!  I know, I know, in January I'll be wishing for these warm days, right?  Anyway, on to my card.

This is totally not my normal style of card ... I mean, there's no coloring involved.  But sometimes it's nice to have some cards like this in your stash for those last-minute things that pop up.  I used the Floral Haven Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.  You can find this set over at the Whimsy Stamps store.  I used my nestabilities to cut out the sentiment.  The papers are by The Girls Paperie ... I'm so in love with these papers and you are probably getting tired of seeing them on my cards, huh?  I wrapped some PTI button twine around my card and tied it into a bow.  I added a few flowers, punched greenery, and pearls to finish my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Isn't this little bear adorable?  This little bear is called Daisy Bear and it's a free digi right now over at Di's Digi Downloads.  I colored this cutie with my distress inks on watercolor paper.  I used some Glossy Accents on the bear's nose and the little ladybug, and added just a little Glamour Dust to the Daisy.  My sentiment is from the Friendship Ticket Sentiments over at Whimsy Stamps.  I love their ticket sentiments and they have several sets to choose from.
