The Challenge #59 - Sketch

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the new challenge over at Always Playing With Paper's The Challenge.  Each week we have a different type of challenge and this week it's a sketch.  I hope you find some time to play along with us!

I decided to pull out my distress inks and make a watercolor background for our sketch this week.  I cut my watercolor panel with the Stitched Rectangle Die set from Your Next Stamp.  I used the Small Snowflake Die set from Impression Obsession and cut my snowflakes from white glitter paper and then added a small pearl to the center of each snowflake.  The sentiment is from the Snow Kissed stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps.

Be sure to stop by The Challenge to see the fabulous projects by the rest of the DT!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs, Anita

You're The Coolest

Good morning.  I wanted to share a winter card I made a couple of weeks ago but forgot to share on my blog.

This sweet little image is Snowflake and you can find her at CC Designs.  Isn't she adorable?  I think she would make a perfect Christmas card too but I went with a winter theme.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then added some Glamour Dust to her hat and her snowflakes.  I used an older die from Impression Obsession to cut the snowflakes and then added a pearl to the center of each snowflake.  A very CAS card but easy to mail!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

7 Kids College Fund - Miss Frosty

( ** Please scroll down for my SugarPea Designs post ** )

Happy Thursday!  I know most of us are so tired of winter and ready for spring to arrive.  We've had a really cold and snowy winter here where I live.  I think we've seen more freezing temps and snow than we've had in many, many years.  So even though I'm ready for winter to be over, I couldn't resist coloring up one more snowman!

I used this adorable Miss Frosty by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamps.  I absolutely love Sylvia's images!  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added some Glossy Accents and lots of Glamour Dust.  I used a sentiment about friends but this stamp would also make a beautiful Christmas card.

Here are the supplies I used from the 7 Kids College Fund Store:

Warmest Wishes

Happy Friday everyone!  Our weather here has been extremely cold and yesterday we got lots of snow.  It's so pretty to look out the window and see the fresh snow on all the pine trees and the ground.  But along with that snow came some very high winds, which made it feel even colder.  And I think they're calling for our temps to drop even lower so I guess I will just have to hibernate lol!  I don't like cold weather but I do love snowmen and that's what I'm sharing today.

This adorable snowman is Snowman Snapshot and he's a freebie over at Whimsie Doodles.  That's right ... he's free!  While you're over there be sure to check out all the digi stamps Melyssa has available.  I'm telling you right now that they are totally adorable so don't blame me if you end up doing some major shopping while you're there :)  Anyway, I colored this cute snowman with copics and used Glossy Accents on his nose and coal buttons.  I added some Glamour Dust to the white snowflakes.  I used an Impression Obsession die for the blue snowflakes and then added some pearls.  The sentiment is from the CC Designs AmyR Freezin' Season stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Hugs, Anita

Guest Designer at Color Me Creative Classroom Challenge

Happy Saturday to all of you!  I was invited to be a Guest Designer over on the CMC Copic Challenge Group and their theme for this challenge is anything "Holiday themed".

I chose to use one of Sylvia's newer releases Winter Friends.  I love Sylvia's designs and knew I wanted to use this one for a Christmas card.  I colored the image with copics and colored pencils and used Glamour Dust and a pearl pen for some sparkle.  The sentiment is from an older Papertrey Ink stamp set - it's one of my favorite Christmas sentiment sets.  Be sure to stop by the CMC Copic Challenge to find all the details on their challenge!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Blessings

Happy Thursday sweet friends!  Today I'm sharing another Christmas card.  If you know me then you know that I absolutely LOVE making Christmas cards!

This adorable little fairy is Sugar Nellie's Hey Little Birdie and she's from the latest Return To Winter Wonderland release.  Doesn't she have such a beautiful little face?  I colored her with copics and then added some additional shading with colored pencils.  I used some Glamour Dust on her wings.  The sentiment is from PTI and the snowflakes are from an Impression Obsession die.  You can find this sweet fairy and all her friends at Funky Kits.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Sugar Nellie's Return To Winter Wonderland

Happy Saturday friends!  So, have you stopped by the Sugar Nellie Blog to see the beautiful new images in our Return To Winter Wonderland?  Aren't they gorgeous?  I think Karen always does such a fabulous job finding the prettiest fairies for her shop!

Today I have used More Hands Make Light Work.  I colored her with copics and added some shading with my colored pencils.  Of course I had to add lots of Glamour Dust to her wings, jinglebells, and snowflake wand.  Every fairy needs to have lots of sparkle, right?  I also added a bow, poinsettia, and some snowflakes with pearls.  You can find all my card details below.  Please remember to leave comments so you'll have a chance at winning some lovely candy :)  These new images are all available over at Funky Kits.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Anita

Let It Snow

Happy Friday everyone!  We're starting a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge today over on the Greeting Farm Blog.  It was our lovely Rachel's turn to pick a theme and she chose ... Let It Snow.  So, she wants to see snow, snowflakes, snowmen, or snowballs ... you know, that cold & frosty stuff :)

I used My Heart from our November release on my card today.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then cut her out with nestabilities.  I added Distress Crackle Paint and Glamour Dust around the edges of my dp and on the snowflakes.  Then I put a little pearl in the snowflakes for some added shine.  The sentiment is from an older My Favorite Things sentiment set.  Be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today.  OK, go ink up a TGF image and let's see your snowy image in our FFF challenge this week!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Autumn

Happy Monday to all of you.  The weekend has come and gone and I didn't seem to get much done ... but I did enjoy myself.  Sometimes we all need to just slow down and enjoy life a little more, don't we?  I have had this image colored for ages and did manage to finish up a card with this lovely lady.

This sweet image is called Fall Leaves and you can find her over in the Time For Tea Designs' Etsy Shop.  Jo has lots of other cute images in her shop and if you check out her blog you'll see that she's having a fabulous sale, too!  Anyway, I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used some pretty fall papers by Reminisce.  I added some seam binding, pearls, a leaf diecut, and a sentiment to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  Now I'm off to get busy on some DT work that's due soon :)

Happy Monday to all of you.  I hope you're lucky enough to be enjoying a three-day weekend this Labor Day.  Today starts the previews of the CC Designs
release of new stamps and dies for September and I know you're going to love them!

I used the adorable new Ralphie & Mr McNutterson stamp set on this card and colored them with my copics and colored pencils.  I applied Glossy Accents to his nose and Liquid Applique to his hat.   The sentiment is from the All About Dad Sentiments by AmyR.  I used the CC Designs Cutters Button Set Die to cut out the buttons and then threaded them with hemp cord.

On my second card, I used the new Autumn Words sentiment as the focal point of my card.  The acorns were stamped with the Ralphie & Mr McNutterson stamp set and colored with copics and colored pencils.  I used the CC Designs Cutters Pumpkins Die and Vine Die
