The Challenge #57 - Inspiration

Good morning, I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for our new challenge over at Always Playing With Paper's The Challenge

Our challenge this week is an inspiration challenge - isn't this a beautiful picture?  I used my distress inks to make a watercolored background and then added a flower that I diecut using the Glorious Gerber Daisies die from Memory Box.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp and I also used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set from Your Next Stamp to cut the watercolor paper.  I added some sequins for a little bit of sparkle.

Be sure to stop by The Challenge to see the gorgeous projects by the rest of the DT!  I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week!

7KCF & Wild Rose Studio

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for a post over on the 7KCF Blog.

I used Bluebell and Presents from Wild Rose Studio.  If you are looking for some really cute Christmas images be sure to check out the Wild Rose Studio stamps over at the 7KCF Store.  They also have some really adorable papers too ... just saying ;)  I colored the image with copics and then used a Clear Wink of Stella glitter marker to add some sparkle.  I used the Plush Poinsettia Corner Die from Memory Box.  I decided to omit the poinsettia leaves so it would have a lacy look.  Then I adhered a few sequins for even more sparkle.  All Christmas cards need sparkle, right?

Mixed Sequins from Sulyn

A New Challenge at Little Miss Muffet

Good morning to all of you!  This month I'm a guest designer over on the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog and they have a new challenge starting today.

I decided to use this sweet little Polka Dot Pals Neomie for my card.  Isn't she adorable?  This image just screams summer to me and I love watermelon so I immediately fell in love with this little cutie.  I colored the image with my copics and added the grass with Prismacolor pencils.  The new challenge is "anything goes" so be sure to stop by the Little Miss Muffet Challenge Blog to get all the details and to see what their amazing DT created this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

7KCF Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!  We have a new challenge for you over on the 7KCF Challenge Blog.  Our challenge is "anything goes", so easy, right?

I used this sweet stamp Mouse On Bluebell from Wild Rose Studio.  Isn't this little mouse a cutie?  I colored the image with copics and colored pencils and use some Star Dust Stickles in the center of the flowers.  I don't use purple on my cards very often because I can never get a good photo of a card with purple.  Honestly, the bluebells in this photo perfectly match the dp.  How in the heck can my photo come out so totally different?  Am I the only person that's purple-challenged?  The butterfly is from the Rhone Butterfly Wings Die from Memory Box.  Be sure to stop by the 7KCF Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today!

7KCF

Good morning.  Today I'm sharing a sweet image from Saturated Canary.

This cutie is Little Lady Bug but I decided to make her a little bumble bee instead!  I used the Memory Box Honeycomb Stencil to make my background paper.  I colored the image with colored pencils and gamsol ... no copics!  The butterfly is actually two separate dies.  I used the Rhone Butterfly Wings Die to cut the butterfly in black cardstock, and then I layered that on a vellum butterfly that I cut using the Effera Butterfly Wings Die.  I added a black seam binding bow and a small pearl on the butterfly.  And of course lots and lots of Glamour Dust on her wings and antennae.

Guess Who Loves You?

Good morning everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the 7 Kids College Fund Blog.

I purchased some of the Memory Box stencils a little while back and pulled one out recently to see what I could create.  I adhered the Mesh Stencil to a piece of Neenah cardstock.  Then I took a small stenciling brush I've had forever and tapped onto my distress ink pad to pick up some ink.  I wiped the excess ink off on scrap paper before applying the ink to my piece of Neenah.  I wanted a spring card so I used soft pastel ink pads.  I really did enjoy stenciling my own background paper and I hope to find some time to play around with more of these stencils soon!  I colored the sweet Guess Who Loves You? Pure Innocence Stamp with copics and colored pencils.  I paper-pieced her outfit, fussy cut her, and used dimensional dots to attach her to my stenciled paper.  I used some Glossy Accents on her sunglasses and added some ribbon and a few enamel dots.

Here are the supplies I used from the 7KCF Store:

Hey Chickie!

I have an Easter card to share today.  I've been seeing the most adorable Reverse Confetti cards over on my blogging buddy Sarah's blog and decided I needed to go on a little shopping trip :)  Well, of course, some of their fabulous stamps and dies jumped into my cart and I just had to buy them, didn't I?

Here is my first card using their sweet Carton Cuties stamps and Carton Cuties Confetti Cuts.  I know these stamps and dies are going to get a lot of use for Easter this year.  It doesn't really show in the photo but I added a little colored pencil shading around the egg carton, eggs, and the chick.  I adhered the carton to a vellum circle using some pop dots and then added some enamel dots to my card.  Lots of cute sentiments come with the stamp set too so be sure to pop over and check them out!

OK, I'm off to have lunch out with the hubby and then home to work on more cards.  We are having buckets of rain today so it sounds like a good day to color, right?

Thank you for stopping by.  Enjoy your weekend ... and I hope you're having nicer weather wherever you are!

Holiday Greetings

( ** Please scroll down for my CC Designs post ** )

Well, I have made another Christmas card.  I posted one a couple of weeks ago and realized it was my first holiday card for this year.  I am way behind so I thought I'd get one more done and added to my stash.

This lovely fairy is Titania.  Of course you don't have to wait until Christmas to use this image.  She would make a perfect birthday card or a card for other occasions too.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I applied lots of Glamour Dust.  I'm sure whoever receives this card will be seeing glitter for many months lol!  I also used some Liquid Pearls around the image and Glossy Accents on the jingle bells.  I added some lace and a lace flower with a pearl brad.  The hanging snowflake is from a Memory Box die and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  You can find lots of gorgeous Sugar Nellie fairies over at Funky Kits

Fairy Glen Sneak Peeks

Hello sweet friends.  Today I have a Sugar Nellie sneak peek for you.  All this week on the Sugar Nellie Blog we've been sharing peeks of our new fairies and today I am showing you ...

Dreams & Wishes

Isn't she a cutie?  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used Glamour Dust on her wings.  The papers are by Maja and they were part of a blog candy I won from sweet Elaine.  I love this pad and hated to cut into it but thought these papers would be a perfect fit for this fairy.  The dress actually matches the dp much better irl but looks very pinkish in this photo.  I have added some greenery with a Memory Box Die and flowers with pearls using a My Favorite Things Die.   Be sure to stop by the Sugar Nellie Blog tomorrow at 10 am for the Launch Day Blog Hop!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
