GDT Project for Sew Many Challenges

I am so thrilled to be the guest designer this week at Sew Many Challenges. For the challenge this week, I picked an Easter theme. I love this time of year when spring peeks out after a long winter. Easter has always been special to me because I had my daughter 11 years ago on Good Friday and brought her home on Easter Sunday. My 2 girls and I love Easter/spring crafts and always invite a bunch of kids over to color eggs during this time. So for my GDT project at Sew Many Challenges, I created this small Easter basket.

The instructions for the basket construction can be found at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog.

Here is a picture of the back of the basket:

I used this sweet rabbit from Sew Many Cards. Her name is Jovi - isn't she adorable? For my basket, I used K & Co papers and embellished with pearls, ribbon, lace, prima flowers, a cross charm, and several different Martha Stewart punches. I colored my image with copics and I also added white crushed velvet flock to Jovi's chest area. So what do you think? I hope you all can join us this week at Sew Many Challenges - would love to see you there. Thanks for visiting me.

Sew Many Challenges #2

Where did the weekend go? Flew by way to fast for me! It'll be February before you know it and still no big snowstorm for us here in Connecticut. Just need one storm to keep the kids out of school and go sled riding... just one. Nothing but rain around here :0(...

Well, today I have a card to show you that I made using these super cute images from Sew Many Cards. You have to take a look at these critters and if you visit their Challenge blog every Friday, they have Freebie Friday where you get a free image to use. Can't beat that!

The challenge this week is a color combination challenge using purple, white, and a splash of black. The challenge is open to everyone, so go check out their blog if interested. I colored my image with copics and used one of those Flowersoft globes. Tried to make it look like a shaker card by putting in some polar white flowersoft inside the globe. What do you think? It's a little hard for me to get a good picture of this card because the camera reflects off the globe. Hopefully, you can see it ok?

I am also entering this card at the following challenge blogs:

Our Creative corner - sketch
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - winter

Still can't believe I won that last challenge with my Elephant Valentine card. That was a freebie image - isn't it darling!? I won 3 images from Sew Many Cards and the Damask Cuttlebug combo folder! Can't tell you how honored and thrilled I am to actually win a challenge. Puts a little fire in you to keep creating, if you know what I mean. Well, thanks for visiting me today. Would love to know what you think of my card. I appreciate all your comments! Thanks again!

Sew Many Challenges #1 - Anything Goes

Hi there. Today I wanted to join in on the Sew Many Challenges challenge blog. Their very first challenge is "anything goes." So I used this image which was a freebie that was offered at their blog. Isn't she cute? I believe her name is Eris. If you are interested, you can find other digital images of Eris and many other animals at the Sew Many Cards store. There are all sorts of whimsical animals there like tigers, owls, donkeys, etc. all with a "sewn together" look. Really cute!

I made a stair step card following the splitcoast stampers tutorial. I used Basic Grey papers, spellbinders hearts dies, copic markers, and an embroidered flower.

Thanks for visiting me today. I'll be back tomorrow with another DT project for the Inky Impressions Challenge blog. Have a great day!
