Cousins Meet

While we were in SLC, Hannah got to play and meet her cousins. She met Walker for the first time and so I had to create a storyboard about it. She loved him very much, until he tried to sleep in her bed. Then she wasn't to sure about this guy. She has a hard time sharing with babies, but she better get used to it, she will have to do a lot of it in the future.

Holiday Goodness

So, I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw a new ghiradelli chocolate bar. It is their Holiday Peppermint Bark. So, I bought it of course. Oh, my gosh. It is so good. It is a mixture of chocolate, peppermint and crunch! My favorite. I just had to share - keep an eye out for it!

Just One of my favorite things

I love these mugs. They are just so darn cute. Santa was going to get them for me last Christmas, but they didn't have our initials, so maybe this year! We will see. In case, you want them, you can get them here.

November Fun

We went to SLC for Thanksgiving and ate and had fun. Thanksgiving dinner was yummy as usual. Hannah had so much fun making cookies with her aunt and cousins. But the highlight of the weekend was Grandpa Christensen's 95th birthday celebration. 95 years is quite an accomplishment and he is one of the greatest men I know! We were so glad to be a part of it.

Christmas Time is here!

So, I love all the holiday decorations on this site Ballard Designs. Especially these darling stockings. So, I think (now I am not promising) that I might try and make them myself. I just have to find the right fabric to make them just as cute... but I am on a mission (at least for next year). But I wanted to share how cute they are and all the great holiday decorations on this site.

Color Madness

So, after many an agonzing hours and a few squabbles with the hubby, these are the colors we have decided to paint the house (more or less) I think they look a little differnt on the computer screen, than on the paint swatch, but you get the idea. I never knew how hard this would be. I am so excited to finally get our house painted and have it look nice again. Too bad we already had a ton of family in town, before we got this done. but oh well, better later, than never.

loving my daddy

So, hannah is always still so excited each night when her daddy comes home from work. She runs and jumps into his arm and gives him the biggest bear hug around his neck. It never gets old, thank heavens!

In Love with a Monkey

So, Hannah loves (and I mean loves) Curious George. It is the only movie she will watch and be mesmerized by it from beginning to end. So, I had to capture her watching him. He really is the cutest little thing. I can see why she likes him so much. I just hope he isn't giving her any ideas... she is already curious enough as it is. If you don't own this movie, I recommend you get it for Christmas, it is so darn cute!

Another storyboard

Well, I haven't taken pictures for awhile, so instead of posting new pictures, I thought I would post a new storyboard of old pictures. These are so much fun to do. So, here is one of us at the very most nothern tip of Denmark where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet. And you can actually see them meeting, it was so much fun that it had to be captured!

Bear Sighting

I forgot to mention that we saw a black bear while we were driving through the park. We got out of the car and were literally about 200 ft away from him. He looked at us, but didn't seem to mind us taking his picture and marveling at him. This is the second time Chris has seen a bear at Sequoia... I think they roam around quite a bit.

Visiting General Sherman

This weekend Chris' brother Brian was in town, so we headed to Sequoia National Park. It was tons of fun to walk among the giant sequoias and visit the largest living thing on earth - General Sherman. We also walked Congress Trail and visited the Senate and the house which are clusters of giant sequoias - quite amazing. The trail was 2.5 miles and Hannah walked probably over half, she loved it, but one the way home, she crashed for 2 1/2 hours, it definitely wore her out. Here is my storyboard to show you a bit of what we saw.

Storyboard fun

So, the big thing right now in the digital photography world is Storyboards. (Well, it might have been around for a while, but I am just starting to get into it). It is a fun way to showcase photographs into a simple but fun format. So, here is my attempt at 3 of them. Hope you enjoy! I think this might take over my digital scrapbooking efforts. It is just as cute and creative and a lot easier!

October Memory Card

So, here is the memory card for this month.

What a fun month, it started out with your first college football game - Fresno state vs. Hawaii. You loved the crowd and cheering and climbing all over the seats. One Sunday, we played classical music and you told us, you thought it sounded like butterflies and started running around the room fluttering your hands like wings. You are always singing. When we put you to bed, we can hear you singing before you put yourself to sleep and in the morning you wake up singing in bed. You had two costumes for Halloween - a fairy and a catepillar. You love the catepillar, you wore it around the house weeks before Halloween. So, that is what you were for Halloween - A Catepillar! You were so good at saying “trick or treat" when the doors opened and you told people you were a "catepillar costume".

Trick or Treat

So, nothing is more cute than watching my little catepillar walk down the street holding her daddy's hand as she goes off to trick or treat. It was so cute, with her little catepillar legs and head bobbing in the street light. Hannah loved trick or treating. She did it for more than an hour. She would say "trick or treat" each time a door opened. And when people asked what she was, she would say "a catepillar costume". I have to say this was the best halloween ever for a proud mom and dad.

Fall is finally coming

So, it is finally getting cooler here. The rest of the week is in the high 60's to low 70s and the leaves are turing colors. Yipee! I was even able to light my Yankee Candle, since the evenings are now cool. So, I thought I would post this photo I took - to get ready for fall! Finally!

Mormon Idol

So, this weekend we had our primary quarterly activity combined with our ward halloween party. Here is a picture of the sign I created for the evening. What a project, the thing was huge. And it took awhile to draw and paint the whole thing, but it worked out pretty well. Just wanted to post it for fun!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Even though it was 83 degrees (not your typical fall day), We headed to our local pumpkin patch. Hannah has been watching Dora's Halloween which taught her about pumpkin patches. So, every time she sees a pumpkin, she says let's go to the pumpkin patch... so we finally did. She didn't care to much about the pumpkins, but loved the bounce house of course. Then we took a walk through the corn maze and about half way through she wanted to be carried the rest of the way. There were also a bunch of bales of hay that she loved crawling and climbing all over. On our way out, we bought a baby pumpkin that was perfect for her, she loves her pumpkin and has been seen cuddling it and telling it "I love you pumpkin".

This pumpkin patch trip was also another excuse for mom to take pictures. There were so many cute ones, it was hard for me to choose only a few to post, so I chose these four... Hope you enjoy. Also, Hannah dressed in her tights was my attempt to keep her cool, but still have it look like it was a crisp, cool fall day (wishful thinking).
