Choosing an ID

So, I decided that I should make my own logo, for all this stuff I do... just in case and to identify my work and for fun. So, I created these versions... I would love to know which one you like the best. So, Share with me :-) You can click on the image to make it bigger.

Can't wait to Dance

We signed Hannah up for dance class starting in January. She will be learning how to tap and ballet (as much as 2-3 yr old can). It is going to be so much fun. I went and watched the class today and the kids were so cute in their little leotards and skirts. I can't wait and Hannah will just love it. And the best part is the recital she will get to perform in come June.

Santa's little girl

Hannah got to sit on Santa's lap at our ward Christmas party. She is not afraid of him one little bit. It is because she sees all the other kids doing it and of course she wants to do it too. She gets on his lap and talks to him and then waits for the treat. She is so funny and such a follower (we are hoping that changes in years to come).

Kissy Time

So, I had to take a picture of Hannah kissing either Chris or myself... so I thought I would post this for fun. And nothing like pictures that capture my nice, round pregnancy face :-)

Happy Feet Over?

We took Hannah out for a family date night. The first thing Hannah said when she woke up Friday morning was "let's go see Happy Feet mommy!" So, after all day of hearing about Happy feet, we finally headed out for our ate.

We went to Johnny Rockets for dinner (which we won't go to again) oh, my expensive and greasy and not that good. But Hannah had fun, hugging her dad the whole time and eating all the onion rings. Then we went to go and see Happy Feet. The first mistake was that it was on IMAX, so it was bigger than life and louder than anything. She was so excited when the movie started and sat in her seat. But then the preview for Night in the Museum started and she wasn't too sure. But once the penguins came on, things got better (a little).

She is such a sensitive girl. Anytime the penguins were sad, she was really sad and then the part with the scary seal trying to kill the penguins came on and she lost it. She was crying and so scared, but had to watch, she wouldn't turn her eyes from it, so eventually I had to take her out and love her and help her through it. It was so sad and it made us realize she isn't ready for movies yet. After that, all she said throughout the movie was "the penguins done?" She was ready for the penguins to be done! She still watched, but was ready to leave as soon as possible. And she sat on our laps the entire time.

When the movie was over, she told us how much she liked it and all about the penguins. So, at least she thinks she liked it. So, lessons learned this evening - 1) don't eat at Johnny Rockets 2) our 2 1/2 old is not ready for movies or the IMAX 3) don't spray for ants in your house when you are married to a man like my husband.... (this is a whole other story!)

Doing it my way

So, after I looked at this designers website, I decided that although she is a great designer and it is a good idea. I could do this myself, instead of paying someone else to do it. So, I had fun last night creating my own labels that I am going to use, just by going to Staples & PaperSource and buying some different size labels and printing out my own address labels, gift labels and other fun things. So, I thought I would share my own designs and labels for you to look at. this is just a start. I am going to do a collection of several designs. Something to look forward to (at least for me - I like designing). Hope you enjoy!

Photoshot with friends

Hannah is getting so much better at letting me take her picture. she actually asks for it now. So, when she asked, I jumped on it. She decided the photoshot was to be with her friends - mr. panda bear and her fairy princess. So, here are some shots! Picture taking is now so much fun. (I am also learning photoshop and conversions, so that might explain the weird coloring. I think I got the second one right, but the first one needs more help).

Storyboard Time

I took some pictures of Hannah being cute with her stuffed animals, so here is the storyboard I did. Enjoy!

Send it in a card

So, I found these cards on a scrapbooking site. They are for sale, but they are a really simple design, so I am duplicating them on my own and using my own pictures. I thought these would make great cards to give to people. I plan on taking pictures for a birthday card, christmas card, baby shower card, etc. But these is just a start of the photos I have. I thought I would share, since they are fun and colorful.

We bought this sweater for Hannah while in Denmark and it is finally cold enough to wear it, so she wore it to church today. I had to take pictures too. So, here are some of a mini photoshoot I did today. Hannah is getting much better at letting me take pictures of her, she now smiles, looks at me and says "cheese"...we are progressing!

My Nisse Man

While we were in Denmark last year (over Christmas) I learned about the Nisse Men. They are cute little elves that look like little santa's helpers. He is possibly the best known creature in Norwegian folklore. Even today, some people believe that he exists. These mysterious little fellows come out of the mountains for a twelve-day period during the Christmas season. He will come to a certain farm at that time. If he is treated kindly by the people on the farm, he will remain there for that full time. Then he will disappear as suddenly as he came. Farmers believe that having a Nisse living in their barns will bring them luck and good harvests.

So, I had to get my own nisse man. The come in all different shapes, sizes, looks and characters. But they are all cute and festive. So, here is my nisse man... cute little guy!
