This tag was created with K&Company's Halloween diecuts that I had from last year. I covered a shipping label with black Bazzill paper then popped the diecuts with pop dots. I love the color combination that K&Company used for this collection. Of course, it's almost October so why wouldn't I start on holiday tags. This project really made me want to create any and all holiday tags, it put me right in the mood.

Autumn Thyme
I can't believe that it's almost October. More Paper Than Shoes forums has kept me busy making tags. I've signed up to be on the hangtag creative team for that site. It's been a great site for inspirations. Anyhow created this tag to Autumn. I used a graphic I downloaded from the web to print, glitter, emboss and inked it. This tag was easy to put together but I wanted it to be a set of tags. I will be posting more of this set later. Let me know what you think.
MPTS's Forum Hangtag Creative Team Challenge for September
I created this for MPTS Forum Hangtag Creative Team's September challenge. The challenge was to make a tag that showed something about myself. This was a big challenge as I was not sure what I wanted to show as there are many things that I love to create. One on them would have been Christmas as I love everything about the holiday so I was torn to say the least. I decided to make this tag that reflects myself in words. Hope you enjoy..

Rusty Bucket Challenge- MPTS
I decided I would complete the rusty bucket challenge on the MPTS blog site. Here is the posted challenge:
September's Monthly Challenge ~ Rusty Bucket ~
Theme: Rustic (Rusty Bucket)
Supplies: Metal and Twine (any kind of rope).
Surface: ANY
Technique:Torn paper
I love to paint and I've not done so in so long that I jumped after the opportunity to paint this little bucket I got at A.C. Moore. I wanted to keep the project simple so the elements would stand out on their own. This time of year is my favorite because the weather gets cooler, trees start turning and the holidays are approaching. I tried to keep the color theme soft and muted.
I created the tag using a punch and then trimmed it to fit to size. I then added the eyelet and tied it to the bucket with twine. I punched one side of the paper with an edge punch and then tore the other side, as needed for the challenge. I've had the butterfly and dragonfly trinkets for some time now. they turned out great. Perfect for this project.

MPTS Aug Flower Swap
I gave my flowers to Anna over the weekend for the MPTS flower swap. I'm so looking forward to getting the flowers, I took a sneak peak at the flowers everyone sent. They are all very nice and I can't wait to get mine so I can use them in a new project. Here is a picture of the flowers I submitted.
I played around with hand embossing the flowers, I was going for a distressed hand embossed flower. They are not quite what I expected however I was pleased in the end with how they turned out. Of course I sent the leaves with the flowers so scrappers can place them were they want them. It was alot of fun coming up with the type of flower I wanted to submit. Next months swap will be very different though. Well, off I go to make more embellishments for my scrapbooks I'm currently working on and I need to check-in with the MPTS forums.

Weekend Extravaganza
I wanted to share with you my extravaganza weekend, hehe. To start with; we went to an auction Friday after getting home from working all day. I couldn't wait for the day to come as we have had a wonderful time going to the auctions in Courtland, Va. We live only a few minutes away from the place we go to. This week we found several furniture pieces we liked and won by being the highest bidder. Our favorite piece has be this hutch/server. The pictures below are taken 'before cleaning and after cleaning' the server. We won with a bid of $75.00 what at a steal. This piece is solid wood that appears to be variations of walnut I think. Ragardless of what it is made from I love this piece and I've had my eye on it for 2 weeks now, but it never went up for auction, until this week. I think everyone there was shocked at the price we won it with and it fits so well in our new home. We are blessed.
We also purchased a dining room hutch and a wardrobe for our bedroom. They were awesome deals at the auction.
I also went to the Creative Keepers Scrapbook Convention (CKC) that was held in Virginia Beach on Friday and Saturday. Of course I went on Saturday, I had a blast hanging out with my daughter as we scavenged through the rows of vendors at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. I learned all sorts of things that will help me be a better scrapper. Once we were done at the CKC we when to Anna's house where I finished the leaves for my swap that was due that day. The flowers that had come in for the MPTS swap was wonderful, everyone that has sent the flowers have done an outstanding job on them. I can't wait to get mine.
Finally, today we got news that our niece had her baby girl on Saturday. We went to see her today and they are doing well. She has a beautiful daughter now and she is going to be a great mother. While visiting her and the baby; the family was able to get pictures of 5 generations together. That will be an event that will be remembered by all. I am now heading off to neverland as I have to be up early in the morning for work. I hope all of you have a great week.

MPTS August Picture Challenge
I created this tag for MPTS August Picture Challenge. I knew as soon as I seen the color scheme that this would be fun to do. Green, black and white color combo is one of my favorite combination. The tag is being posted kind of late in the month but we had so much going on here at the house. We went to Florida this past weekend to see our new granddaughter. It was alot of fun however I'm glad to be home.
Floral Arrangement for Fall
I thought I would take a minute to show off my first floral wreath for the new house. I haven't made a wreath in quite awhile but now that I've found my floral picks and flowers, I'll be making alot more.

Stair step card
This card was alot of fun to create. I found myself thinking outside of the box on this one as I've never made one before. The picture is not the greatest and doesn't really do the card justice, oh well.
Can't U C I'm busy scrappin!
I've had alot of fun creating these tags with the individual stickers from the Mary Engelbreit collection I had stored away for quiet a while. I'm getting excited to see the collection when it's completed.

Another day, another tag!
I've decided to make a collection of tags with all of the Mary Engelbreit 3-D stickers. I'll post as I make them and then I will take a picture of the whole collection. On this tag I added a clear epoxy quote sticker along with a flower I made. A little bling and ribbon, we now have tag completed.

Mary Engelbreit Tags
I've had these Mary Engelbreit dimensional stickers for some time now so I thought I would use some of them on these tags. I took shipping tags; embossed, inked, punched edges and used stickles to give them a softer look. I was pleased with the results and had a blast creating them.
MPTS July's Color Block Challenge
I wanted to participate in more challenges for More Paper Than Shoes forum as it forces me to think outside the box. This is what I created for the July's color block challenge. I knew as soon as I seen the color selection on the post that I wanted to do it. What I didn't know was, what I was going to make. I'd been wanting the oval necessabilities set so when I got a set I just had to try them. Also I like using my printer to create things that will go with pieces I create. We recently moved into a new home and my craft room has four walls waiting for something different to be put on them. These tags will go on a plaque once I find the right size I'm looking for and it will be painted to compliment the CREATE tags collage.

MPTS Red, White and Blue Challenge
Here's my tag for the Red, White and Blue challenge that I did for MPTS forum last week. I found the medallion trinket on the tag at AC Moore and didn't quite know what I wanted to use them for but I then discovered that they worked out great for this tag. I used JRhett's graphics on this card as I love, love, love her work.
