My Card this week is using a gorgeous paper pack called Love Day Paper Pack Patterned from Panda Bear Designs teamed up with one of the lovely images from Stitchy Bear’s Valentine Bundle. I tell you if you had both of these packs you would have so many options on pretty papers and images to use, they really are very good value for money.

I started with the pretty patterned paper, I loved the swirly heart design on the left hand side and the pops of colours, it juts reminded me of bokeh on a photograph and I like the soft focus style of it. The colours are perfect for Valentines too.

The image is perfect for me as I have a ‘thing’ for collecting the coffee jars that Douwe Egbert coffee comes in and these are so similar in shape. The card is going to be my valentine to my hubby and he will see the connection to my ‘button jars’ immediately J

I started to colour using Marvy Le Plume pens but found the lighter colours were a bit wish washy so I added some bolder colours too to make it a bit more masculine. I used Sakura glitter pens over the top though to add lots of sparkle and lighten the effect of the darker colours. I fussy cut the image and mounted it onto 3D Foam

I tied some Baker’s Twine around the paper adding a gem centred heart charm I have had in my stash for at least 5 years! I have then mounted this paper onto some sparkly silver card to pick up the lid on the jar. It is also a neat way to conceal the ends on your ribbon or twine.

The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry and I used a die to cut the scalloped shape. Finally this is mounted on 3d foam using the line of the twine to anchor it.

Materials Used in this Project are as follows:-
Card size – A5
Digi Image – Valentine Bundle by Stitchy Stamps
Digi Paper – Love Day Patterned by Panda Bear Designs
Digi Sentiment – Doodle Pantry
Tools – Marvy le Plume pens, Sakura Glitter pens, Nellie Snellen Oval Die
