It was my turn to choose an image for us to work with and I had the
pleasure of choosing from Floppy Latte Designs. This gorgeous image
is called Orchid and is just beautiful. The shading
on it made it very easy to colour. I used shades of Promarkers and Flexmarkers
inspired by the silk flower orchids I have in my stash which I knew would be a
great addition to the card. I matted the image on a scrap of cardstock that was
recycled from some sticker packaging.
I have lots of pink and purples in my papers so was having a look fort a
nice one to go with this image and came across a pad of 6” papers that came
free with a magazine by Pink Paislee. The printed image of the tweety bird and
the butterflies were in the perfect places for this image to be slotted in…..
how sweet is that? I simply added one of the beautiful aforementioned orchids
with a pearl centre, a clear sentiment sticker and a little gem for the birdie’s
eye and we can call it done. The paper and the image are so pretty I don’t
think anything else is needed so told myself to step away from the card and not
ad anything else!! (please tell me I’m not the only one who has to make myself
not add things to fill ‘space’ up)
After having a couple of weeks away from the challenge I am glad to be
back but goodness me how did it get to be July already? This year is just
flying by……
