Daisy Doodles #80 Easter

Welcome to a new challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges

Easter

For my card this time I have used a fab image from the store called All Your Eggs………

It comes in JPG, PNG & TIFF formats for $2 but is even more of a bargain at the moment as there is a 50% discount in the store until the end of March to help pay for the vet’s bills for Daisy’s kitty Billy.

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

I started by printing off a second layer for the bow and cute little chick and then coloured the image in with pastel shades as they suit Easter images so well.

I covered the card blank with the spotty green paper and added a gingham panel. To this I have used my favourite glittery easter egg paper and then added my image, layering ghe decoupage sections with 3d foam.

The sentiment is a die cut which was too wide for my card so I did a bit of creative trimming and used tiny brads in the centre of the flowers to articulate the sections. This is then mounted with 3d foam and et voila the finished article.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creations on there from my team mates and we look forward to seeing your entries in for our Challenge.

I'll see you again next time with another lovely Daisy Doodles design.

For this challenge we were each assigned an image for the September Mega Collaboration and I have this fabulous image from Hope Jacare Doodles called Sandcastle and I can honestly say I really enjoyed working with this one.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding a smiley sunshine and a floating cloud. I used sever shades of blue for the sea and added texture to the sandcastle and the sand with a blending pen.

I wanted to make a stepper card to really show off the image so used a scrap sheet of A4 paper to plan out where to do my cuts before I used a piece of Kraft card for the base. I made a few booboos so I’m really glad I planned it out first. It took a while but was worth it in the end J
The die cut beach ball, sentiment and waves have been amassed from DCWV and Let’s Make Cards kits. On the bottom section I have added some small shells, some of which I have collected on the beach, some are specifically for crafting. I have also added some sea themed beads.

Daisy's Image Inspirations Simply Daisies

Over at

our challenges run fortnightly so on the off Wednesday the Designers will be creating with a specially selected digi from the Daisy Doodles Store.

The set we are working with today is Simply Daisies and it is available from the store at the very special price of COMPLETELY FREE!!. You get 2 designs of daisies both in and out of a vase in TIFF, PNG & JPG formats and it is the perfect image for a CAS style of card. The DT have made some smashing cards using these images.

I coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and used my tiny scissors to cut it out and used tiny foam pads to raise it up. I have made a tent topper style of card for the very first time using a Kraft cardstock base and some yummy papers from a new First Edition pad by Dovecraft. I used a Nestabilities labels die to cut out the shapes and used a small ink pad to distress the edges for more definition. The lace and ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment panel is from a Lets Make Cards pack.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creations on there and please remember that you have until Sunday night to get your entries in for our Easter Challenge

Daisy's Image Inspirations Li'l Duck

Over at

our challenges run fortnightly so on the off Wednesday the Designers will be creating with a specially selected digi from the Daisy Doodles Store.

The image we are working with today is Lil Duck and it is available from the store at the very special price.

I coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and used my tiny scissors to cut it out and used tiny foam pads to raise it up. I used the pastel striped paper from Dovecraft on the base of the card and distressed the edges with a small inkpad.

Using a Nestabilities label die I cut a mat out from a magazine freebie paper pad adding some faux stitches to the outside with a white gel pen. I added a smattering of stickles glitter glue to the daisies and the Easter eggs and ooh look, there is a big gem easter egg Lil Duck is about to pick up and put in his cart J

Diving Candace

Recently I won a prize at Cupcake Inspirations blog and it was for a set of digis called Splash of Fun from Chi Chi Memories and this card uses Diving Candace from that set.

Using the latest sketch over at Chi Chi Memories blog I have covered the base of the card with a cool paper which has shells and starfish on it from DCWV. The image is coloured with Promarkers and matted onto a scrap of card which has different shades of blue on the background. The sentiment is also mounted on this. Both are raised with 3d foam.

I have used different shades of blue and green ric rac ribbon to emulate seaweed and used a leaf punch to cut loads of leaves in two different shades of green. I am really pleased with how this card has turned out and I am also getting a chance to use papers that have been in my stash for years and years.

Card Size - A5
Sentiment - Die cut from Let's Make Cards magazine
Paper - DCWV
Embellishments - Ric Rac, large gems from Paperchase
Tools - 3d Foam pads, leaf punch
